IIM Raipur concludes 8-day Bootcamp for incoming batch

Jindal urges ethics, organ donation, and innovation in health Retired officers, CXOs guide students on leadership and service The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur concluded its eight-day Emerging Managers Bootcamp on June 29. The programme, held from June 22 for the incoming 2025–2027 batch, focused on leadership, ethics, and community responsibility before formal classes begin. The bootcamp ended with a session led by Lt. General Ashok Kumar Jindal, Executive Director of AIIMS Raipur. Lt. Gen. Jindal, a recipient of the Yudh Seva Medal, spoke about ethical decision-making in healthcare and business. He encouraged students to look beyond profits and contribute to society. He also asked students to explore digital twin modelling in healthcare and stressed the importance of organ donation awareness. Professor Ram Kumar Kakani, Director of IIM Raipur, addressed the students as well. 'This bootcamp is not just about orientation. It's about moving from self to society and learning to serve,' he said. Faculty members Prof. Satyasiba Das and Prof. Diptiman Banerjee were also present. The camp brought together senior retired civil servants from the IAS, IPS and IRS, along with industry professionals with long years of CXO-level experience. Guest speakers included Dr. Pushp Kumar Joshi, Dr. Prem Sagar Mishra, Vinod P. Menon, Satish Anand, Mahankali Srinivas Rao, Sandeep Roy, Rakesh Misri, and Poornima Dore. The programme aimed to help students understand the demands of leadership early in their journey. According to the institute, the bootcamp is part of a broader effort to connect academic learning with real-world experience. The 2025–27 batch is expected to take forward this exposure as they begin regular classes at IIM Raipur's campus in Naya Raipur. IIM Raipur, Chhattisgarh Government launch fully-funded MBA in Public Policy and Governance

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur, a leading Indian institution, has launched a two-year MBA in Public Policy and Governance under the Chief Minister's Good Governance Fellowship (CMGGF). The program is designed to nurture future leaders in public policy by blending academic excellence to build impactful careers in government, public sector enterprises, and policy think tanks. A total of 36 students, domiciled in Chhattisgarh, having a CAT score from 2022, 2023, or 2024, and possessing a graduation degree with at least 60 per cent marks (55 per cent for reserved categories) or an equivalent CGPA as per Chhattisgarh state reservation policy, will be eligible for the program. The last date to apply for the programme is May 11, 2025. The Chhattisgarh government will fully sponsor the program by covering the fees for all the enrolled students, and provide a monthly stipend of Rs 50,000 to support the academic pursuits, studies, along with boarding and lodging during academic sessions at IIM Raipur. Professor Ram Kumar Kakani, Director of IIM Raipur, said, ' Through this pioneering MBA in Public Policy and Governance, offered under the Chief Minister's Good Governance Fellowship, we aim to equip aspiring leaders with the analytical skills, ethical grounding, and real-world experience needed to navigate complex governance challenges.' The program will equip students with skills in policy analysis, governance frameworks, leadership, and decision-making to tackle contemporary public administration challenges. Upon successful completion of the program, students may avail various opportunities within the Chhattisgarh Government, as well as in private/public sector organizations, consultancy firms, and more.
