ViewSonic LDS138-151: The foldable monitor that's rethinking big screens, one panel at a time

Most massive displays need an army to move and half a wall to mount. Not this one. The LDS138-151 takes the large-format LED idea and flips it, literally. It's a 138-inch full-HD screen that delivers sharp visuals, rich colours, and an immersive presence, but without the usual bulk. It folds neatly, rolls through tight spaces, and sets up in under ten minutes. For boardrooms, events, or any space where permanence is a problem, this one keeps things simple without cutting corners. Let's talk mobility. Traditional large-format LED screens are notoriously difficult to transport or reposition. The LDS138-151 changes that with its foldable design, allowing it to pass through standard elevators and navigate tight corridors. No cranes, no tearing down walls. Even better—it comes pre-assembled and can be set up in under 10 minutes. No wall mounting, no tools, no chaos. Just roll it in, unfold, and power up. This mobility solves a real pain point for exhibition halls, conference centres, and venues that don't want a permanent screen but still want maximum visual impact. At 138 inches with 1920×1080 Full HD resolution, this screen doesn't just look impressive, it performs. With 600 nits of adjustable brightness and Cinema SuperColor+ covering 120% of the Rec.709 gamut, it delivers vibrant, accurate visuals whether you're showing off a product demo, streaming video, or hosting a town hall. The Glue-on-Board (GOB) surface adds durability, with IP54 protection against dust, shocks, and moisture, making it a solid fit even for semi-public spaces or busy events. Forget dealing with messy AV setups. The LDS138-151 includes a motorized, height-adjustable stand, 360° silent wheels, and a built-in control box with slick cable management. It looks good, works better, and moves easily from one room (or city) to the next. Everything's housed in one streamlined, patent-pending design that's as practical as it is elegant. Thanks to dual-band Wi-Fi and a built-in vCast app, the screen supports wireless sharing from phones, laptops, and tablets, simultaneously. Add Picture-in-Picture and Picture-by-Picture modes, and you can present slides, live feeds, and data all at once. Up to four HDMI inputs keep it presentation-ready, with zero fuss. Maintenance? Surprisingly simple. The hot-swappable front LED modules pop out using the included suction tool, no dismantling or calling in specialists. With a 100,000-hour LED lifespan and efficient energy use, it's a long-term investment that won't rack up long-term costs. From boardrooms and auditoriums to pop-up exhibitions and hybrid events, this display is made for professionals who need high-impact visuals without logistical nightmares. It's especially relevant in today's hybrid work era, where flexibility is everything. The LDS138-151 isn't just another big screen—it's a smart, portable, and seriously polished solution to the limitations of traditional LED walls. If you've ever dreamed of a giant display that travels light, sets up fast, and delivers stunning visuals, this might just be the screen your space has been waiting for.

ViewSonic launches 138-inch All-in-One LED display

ViewSonic has launched the LDS138-151 , a 138-inch foldable LED display in India that promises to transform how organizations approach large-scale visual presentations. The all-in-one system can be set up in under 10 minutes without wall mounting or external installations. The display addresses the growing demand for high-impact visuals in venues where permanent installations are impractical, according to the company. Unlike traditional LED walls requiring complex assembly, the LDS138-151 arrives pre-assembled with LED modules, cabinets, and a motorized floor stand featuring an integrated control box. "We're addressing a growing demand for large-scale displays that are both powerful and practical," said Muneer Ahmad, Vice-President of AV Business at ViewSonic. "This solution enables enterprises, institutions, and creative environments to deploy big-screen experiences with plug-and-play simplicity." The display's foldable design dramatically reduces packaging volume, allowing transport via passenger elevators and smooth movement between venues. Its motorized stand provides 65 cm of height adjustment and 360-degree silent wheels for effortless repositioning. Built for durability in high-traffic environments, the LDS138-151 features advanced Glue-on-Board surface treatment with IP54 rating, protecting against dust, moisture, and minor impacts. The display delivers Full HD clarity with 1.588mm pixel pitch, 600-nit brightness, and 120% Rec.709 color gamut powered by ViewSonic's Cinema SuperColor+ Technology. Additional features include dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity, pre-installed vCast app with AirSync casting, Picture-by-Picture support for four HDMI inputs, and hot-swappable front-access LED modules for easy maintenance. The system targets corporate lobbies, training halls, galleries, and auditoriums seeking premium visual solutions without permanent installation constraints. AI Masterclass for Students. Oppo A5i and A5i Pro launch with Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 1, Pro has 6,000mAh Si/C battery

Oppo quietly launched A5i and A5i Pro, though they are not entirely novel designs. Both are based on the Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 1, which is a rebrand of the Snapdragon 662. The same chip was used in the Oppo A5 Pro 4G, which shares many similarities with these two new models. Both A5i phones feature 6.67' LCD displays with HD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. They can reach 1,000 nits of brightness. Outdoor visibility is further helped by the anti-glare coating. The Pro also has a 6.67' LCD (HD+, 90Hz), but it is a higher quality IPS panel. The Oppo A5i and A5i Pro have 6.67' HD+ 90Hz LCDs The front and back are protected by China Southern Glass and Panda Glass. Oppo lists both as 'twice reinforced' and the phones have undergone MIL-STD-810H testing and got a certification from SGS. However, ingress protection on the A5i is pretty basic with an IP54 rating. The Pro model is a bit better at IP65. Both phones support wet touch. The A5i is powered by a 5,100mAh battery, which promises to retain at least 80% of its capacity after four years of use. The phone supports 45W fast charging. Vanilla A5i: 5,100mAh battery • 45W charging If you want more juice, the Pro has a larger 6,000mAh Si/C battery (still with 45W charging). The bigger battery makes the Pro a bit thicker and heavier, but not by much – it's 7.68mm/186g for the vanilla and 7.99mm/193g for the Pro. The differences between vanilla and Pro models continue. The vanilla model has a very basic 8MP main camera on the back, the front houses a 5MP module. Both are limited to 1080p @ 30fps video recording. The Oppo A5i Pro has better ingress protection and a bigger 6,000mAh battery. The Oppo A5i Pro stands out with a 50MP rear camera with a wider aperture (f/1.85 vs. f/2.0), but the front module is still only a 5MP camera. There's a secondary module on the back and since its function is not listed, we're assuming a depth sensor. While both phones are powered by the Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 1 – an old 11nm design with Cortex-A73 and A53 CPU cores plus an Adreno 610 GPU – there will be a small performance difference between them. The Pro model has 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage. The vanilla model has less RAM, 4/6GB of LPDDR4X, and 64/128GB of slower eMMC 5.1 storage. Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 1 • 8MP rear camera for the vanilla A5i As the chipset's name suggests, it only supports 4G LTE networking. Local connections are handled with dual-band Wi-Fi 5 (ac) and Bluetooth with aptX. The vanilla model also has a 3.5mm headphone jack, the Pro doesn't, but it does have NFC and an IR blaster. Finally, both phones have a side-mounted fingerprint reader. The Oppo A5i Pro is available in the Philippines – right now, it's exclusively sold through Shopee, but starting on June 20 it will also be available from Oppo's TikTok shop and Lazada. The Pro is priced at PHP 9,000, which converts to $160/€140/₹14,000. Oppo A5i in Starry Purple and Nebula Red • Oppo A5i Pro in Midnight Purple We haven't found Oppo A5i in stores just yet. The A5i comes in Starry Purple and Nebula Red, the A5i Pro comes in Midnight Purple. Source | Via

Square Powers Restaurant Growth with New Handheld Device and Next Generation Food and Beverage Platform

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today, Square delivered new hardware and software innovation to help restaurants grow and thrive, including its most powerful, portable point-of-sale device ever and restaurant-specific features and upgrades. Hundreds of thousands of food and beverage sellers have built resilient businesses using Square's refreshingly easy technology to balance scalability and hospitality. These innovations are part of Square Releases, the company's new, twice-yearly product launch that delivers the most important new features and tools, all at once, in a way that's easy for sellers to understand and adopt. Square Handheld is a powerful and pocketable point of sale for all restaurant businesses. For full-service restaurants, it's taking orders tableside or from across the bar, and for quick-service restaurants, that means cutting down on lines during a busy rush. By eliminating unnecessary trips between tables and the counter, Square Handheld enables servers to provide more attentive service and turn tables more efficiently during peak hours, leading to improved customer satisfaction and increased revenue. Read more about Square Handheld's advanced features here, which include: A spill- and splash-resistant 6.2" Gorilla Glass touchscreen and an IP54 rating, which means it can stand up to accidental drops, water, and dust; A long-lasting battery designed to power through a whole day; A barcode scanner to quickly scan in retail offerings like merch or bottles of wine; and A camera for capturing photos of new menu or retail items 'Square Handheld is powerful, profitable, and predictable. It's sleek and slim, and it gives us 10x the power in the palms of our hands (and our pockets) and helps us to elevate our hospitality in the front of house,' said Chad Sykora, CEO at Krootz Brewing Company in Gainesville, TX. 'It's easy to be hands-free as staff members round corners. Now, they can focus on keeping food steady. Each of our bartenders and servers have been fighting over getting their hands on one!' The newly redesigned, unified Square Point of Sale app lets restaurants get started even faster with Square and allows for greater flexibility selling across different revenue streams. It doesn't matter if a seller is a full-service restaurant, quick-service restaurant, bar or brewery, catering service, or any combination — there are now different, purpose-built modes to meet the specific complex needs of each of these workflows in one single app. This new, unified app encourages business growth, too, with restaurants able to easily add entirely new modes — say, retail — to expand their sales capabilities. And with this shift to a single, consolidated app, Square product velocity is accelerating, meaning food and beverage sellers can expect even more restaurant-specific tools they need to run their business, faster. Out of the box, Square Handheld runs the new Square Point of Sale, which you can read more about here. 'Square has gone big in restaurants, and it shows, with our product velocity accelerating to best meet the needs of new and existing sellers,' said Ming-Tai Huh, Head of Food and Beverage at Square. 'Square is the technology backbone for restaurants across the world, from neighborhood cafés to national chains — and with this latest release, we're giving single unit and multi-unit restaurants the tools they need to operate efficiently and to thrive in today's dynamic marketplace.' Square is also introducing a number of additional new features for restaurants to streamline service and grow revenue — without sacrificing hospitality: Food and beverage sellers can now get online effortlessly with our newly rebuilt, fast, high-converting Square Online Ordering page that seamlessly syncs with Square menus. Sellers will also save up to 30% on every online order with built-in, commission-free pickup and delivery. 1 The new Square Dashboard App is completely reimagined for food and beverage teams to manage back-office operations from their pocket. With operators and managers not always by their computers, this Dashboard app allows users to get real-time alerts, see cash flow, manage payroll, update timecards and schedules, send out announcements, and more — all from a mobile device. Sellers will soon be able to bundle multiple items at a discount with Combos, making it easier for staff to upsell and increase check amounts. With Item Splits, individual items can now be split across multiple checks. Staff can easily and quickly handle checkout for larger groups, reducing the time they may typically spend calculating totals and waiting on guests to work out shared costs. Surcharging will soon help sellers improve their margins and manage costs with the ability to pass on credit card fees to their buyers using an automatic surcharge for credit cards. Square is also expanding its comprehensive partner ecosystem to allow sellers the flexibility and modularity to choose the right technology to power their businesses: Square is strengthening its strategic partnership with Sysco, offering new restaurants who switch to Square's platform the opportunity to earn up to $1,000 per month in grocery subsidies through Sysco's distribution network. As rising operational costs continue to squeeze restaurants with expenses for food and other supplies hitting record highs, this partnership will ease the burden on businesses. Newly streamlined Uber Eats and DoorDash integrations are built for accuracy and efficiency, from order to delivery. Now, sellers can manage menus, pricing, and orders — all within Square, with seamless real-time syncing to keep everything running smoothly. With these integrations, sellers can smooth out their cash flow and access their DoorDash and Uber Eats earnings same-day via Instant Payouts through Square Checking. 2 Resy allows sellers to streamline bookings, manage table assignments, and access detailed guest insights. Through integrations with Resy, OpenTable, and SevenRooms, sellers can streamline bookings, manage table assignments and access detailed guest insights. Thanx extends Square's loyalty capabilities, now delivering more advanced data insights and personalization to equip sellers with robust loyalty capabilities that drive repeat visits and maximize revenue.
