" RCB Ye, RCB Wo...": Virat Kohli Shuts Down Trolls In Unfiltered Avatar After Clinching IPL Title

There were only a handful of experts who really backed Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) to go all the way in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Some even questioned the franchise's recruitments at the auction, suggesting it's going to be another season of failure for the franchise. However, with Rajat Patidar at the helm and Virat Kohli as the guiding force, the franchise brought end to an 18-year-long wait and lifted the IPL trophy by defeating Punjab Kings in the final on Tuesday. In a post-match chat with presenter Jatin Sapru, Kohli went into his unfiltered avatar as he hit back at all those who doubted RCB, even mocked those who trolled the franchise for years. "God is great. I'm in a space where the anchor has fallen and I'm just loose with excitement. I just want to sleep properly! I took a lot of stress, listened to a lot of things. RCB yeh, RCB vo. Bohot logon ne bohot troll kiya, bohot mazak banaaya (Lots of people trolled us, made fun of us)," Kohli told Jatin Sapru. Logon ne bahut troll kiya, RCB YE, RCB WO... But that made us STRONGER, Ab main SHANTI SE SONA chahta hun.. #ViratKohli𓃵 #RCBvsPBKS #IPLFinals — ShingChana (@BaanwraDil) June 4, 2025 Despite years of agony, RCB remained one of the most followed franchise, with fans turning up in huge numbers to support the team. Even in Ahmedabad, there were thousands of fans who made the journey from different parts of the country to support RCB. Kohli couldn't thank the loyal fans enough. "But that made us stronger, closer as a team and as a franchise. The relationship between fans and us is strong. I will just sleep peacefully now," Kohli said, as RCB lifted their maiden IPL trophy following a tense six-run win over Punjab Kings. Having taken stress for years, Kohli said that he can now sleep like a baby. "You know, as a sportsman, when you're crying for something, this is a very high-intensity, high-quality tournament, which is of great value in world cricket today. And I'm someone that wants to win the big tournaments, the big moments, and this one was missing. And tonight, I'm going to sleep like a baby," he further said.

'Missed It By 1 Ball': Fans Hail 'True Warrior' Shashank Singh After IPL Heartbreak

Last Updated: Punjab Kings fought hard in the IPL 2025 final but had to settle for the runners-up shield as Royal Challengers Bengaluru won their maiden trophy. Virat Kohli was trying to hold back tears as the crowd erupted into loud chants of 'RCB' at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru inching closer to their first ever IPL title. He soon sank to his knees when Josh Hazlewood delivered the final ball of the season and thus confirming RCB's six-run win over Punjab Kings in the final to bring an end to their 18-year-long wait for a silverware. RCB teammates, backroom staff among others flocked to hug and share the moment with Kohli near the boundary. Far from the celebrations, an emotional Shashank Singh was also battling emotions of his own after producing another blistering innings but this time in a losing cause. PBKS finisher Shashank had a season to remember as he played a key role in helping the franchise finish at the top of the points table and take them into the IPL playoffs for the first time since 2014. In the title clash, as the equation turned increasingly into RCB's favour, Shashank started firing on all cylinders as he began peppering the boundary. However, in the end his 30-ball 61 not out wasn't enough as RCB secured the title with a six-run win. The 33-year-old belted three fours and six sixes including. In the final over, PBKS needed to score 29 runs off Hazlewood. Shashank struck 22 with three sixes and a four. Fans on social media acknowledged his valiant effort, terming him 'true warrior' who fell short (of at least leveling the scores) by one ball. No camera captured him in the last, everyone was focusing on V kohli. This man deserves to be in every frame. He didn't loose, he just missed it by 1 ball. #ShashankSingh #IPLFinals #RCBvsPBKS — Fayaaz Budgaem🖤 (@fayaaz_takkar) June 3, 2025 #RCBvsPBKS Well played Shashank Singh. 👑🔥 — Kapil`ॐ (@iAKsSaviour) June 3, 2025 Only if Nehal or Stoinis would stand there, Shashank Singh would have won this match for PBKSWhat a player, deserves a place in Indian Cricket Team 🤝 #IPLFinals #RCBvsPBKS — Bruce Wayne (@_Bruce__007) June 3, 2025 Shashank, PBKS' designated finisher, ended the season with 350 runs while averaging 50 and scoring at a strike-rate of 153.50. Salt got off to a fast start but was caught by Iyer in a spectacular catch and fell to Kyle Jamieson. While Mayank Agarwal and RCB captain Rajat Patidar looked promising, they could not help much. Finally, with some late contributions from Liam Livingstone (25) and Jitesh Sharma (24), they helped RCB secure a total of 190 runs. For PBKS, their bowlers delivered a good performance, leading the attack and controlling the opposition batsmen Arshdeep Singh (3/40) and Kyle Jamieson (3/48). 3 minutes of Raw Kohli 🤩Don't miss the end one.#RCBvsPBKS #Kohli RCB's bowling took the game by storm PBKS opened with Priyansh Arya (24) and Prabhsimran Singh (26), who got off to a steady start, but their dismissals changed the momentum. "Patience Zaroori Hai": Delhi Police's Viral Post After RCB Wins IPL After 18 Years

When Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) took to the field in a packed Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad for the final game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, cricket fans knew one thing - they were going to get a new and first-time champion. In the 18th edition of cricket's marquee league, it was India's number 18 who finally added the missing feather to his cap. Virat Kohli, the former RCB captain who persisted with the franchise for 18 years despite all the highs and lows, lifted the only trophy that eluded him for nearly two decades. Celebrating RCB's win, the Delhi Police shared a post to draw home a point about being patient and not driving before you turn 18. " Virat jeet ke liye Patience zaroori hai! (You have to be patient for a huge win)," the Delhi Police wrote. The post also carried a note to people who insist on driving a car or riding a bike before turning 18. "See, they waited for 18 years and you're already insisting your parents let you drive or ride," the note read. ???? #Virat jeet ke liye Patience zaroori hai! @iplt20 @RCBTweets @imVkohli #RCBvsPBKS #iplfinal2025 #IPLFinals #IPL #IPL2025 #EeCupnamde — Delhi Police (@DelhiPolice) June 3, 2025 Reacting to the post, a father wrote: "Lovely. Right tweet at right time ???? well done @DelhiPolice — Anuj Jangid (@iAnujJangid) June 3, 2025 Coming back to the game, RCB, batting first, were off to a flying start, courtesy of Phil Salt and Virat Kohli. After Salt's dismissal, Kohli and Mayank Agrawal steadied the RCB innings. With contributions from Rajat Patidar, Liam Livingstone, and Jitesh Sharma, RCB set a target of 191. While chasing, PBKS, for the most part, stayed in the game despite losing wickets at regular intervals. However, it was Krunal Pandya's magical spell of 2-17 in four hours that turned the tie in RCB's favour. Apart from Pandya, Josh Hazlewood, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Yash Dayal also bowled well towards the end of the innings to secure the maiden title for their side. Shashank Singh's brilliant unbeaten 30-ball 61 brought PBKS close to the target but not close enough. He hit Hazelwood for three sixes and a four in the last over, but the team fell short by six runs. And it was Bengaluru and Virat Kohli's night to celebrate.
