When ISKON Guru Gauranga Das shared 'chat' with Google CEO Sundar Pichai, his IIT batchmate, during talk on mental health and social media
In a candid conversation with Google CEO Sundar Pichai and ISKCON monk Gauranga Das is going viral recently. The ISKCON monk Gauging Das was recently present at the Indian Global Forum 2025. At the event he talked about different topics such as mental health , the pressures of the digital age and more. In the same address, Das also talked about one of his conversations with Google CEO Sundar Pichai highlighting the starkly different, yet equally impactful, journeys they have undertaken. What Google CEO Sundar Pichai told ISKON Guru Gauranga Das Das revealed that he was a batchmate of Pichai at IIT. He said that years later he met Pichai at an event and shared a chat with the Google CEO. When Pichai complimented Das on his youthful appearance, the monk replied with a smile: 'You deal with Google, which creates stress. I deal with God, who releases stress.' The remark made by Das quickly went viral on social media and wellness circles. For those unaware, Gauranga Das is a senior ISKCON leader and the director of Govardhan Ecovillage. He highlighted that while tech leaders often seek productivity hacks, true and lasting solutions to stress and the challenges of aging lie in spirituality. Thousands witness Snan rituals in JSR
Jamshedpur: Debasnan Purnima was observed with pomp and gaiety across Kolhan division on Wednesday as devotees thronged to the temples to take part in the Maha Snan rituals of Lord Jagannath and his siblings. At Dhalbhum Club in Jamshedpur's Sakchi, Snanotsav rituals organised by ISKON witnessed a large gathering of devotees. Water, brought from Ganga, Yamuna, Subernarekha, and Kharkai rivers and from Bay of Bengal in Puri was was infused with medicinal herbs, honey, milk and sandalwood to make it holy., organisers said.
