Iraq Stock Exchange reports 22Bn IQD traded in June as main index drops 5%
Baghdad ( – The Iraq Stock Exchange (ISX) announced on Saturday (July 12, 2025) its trading summary for June 2025, reporting a total traded value of over 22.7 billion Iraqi dinars. Across 17 trading sessions throughout the month, nearly 9 billion shares (8.937 billion) were traded from 75 different listed companies. The exchange executed a total of 14,526 buy and sell transactions. However, the market saw a notable downturn in its main index. The ISX60 index closed at 965.73 points, marking a significant 5% decrease compared to its close at the end of May. The ISX, which lists 104 Iraqi companies across key sectors like banking and telecommunications, experienced a month of high trading volume but negative overall index performance, indicating a market correction following previous gains.

Shafaq News – Baghdad On Saturday, the Iraq Stock Exchange (ISX) announced the trading of nearly 9 billion shares worth more than 22 billion dinars (approximately $15.6 million) during June. ISX reported that it conducted 17 trading sessions during the month, with 75 out of 104 listed companies participating in the trades. The total shares traded reached 8.9B, valued at 22.7B dinars, executed through 14,526 transactions. The ISX60 price index closed at 965.73 points, marking a 5% decline compared to the previous session's closing. The Iraq Stock Exchange holds five trading sessions weekly from Sunday to Thursday and lists 104 joint-stock companies operating across the banking, telecommunications, industry, agriculture, insurance, financial investment, tourism, and hotel sectors.

ISX reported that it conducted 18 trading sessions during the month, with 76 out of 104 listed companies participating in the trades. The total shares traded reached 14,216,936,000, valued at 28,702,000,000 dinars ($20,312,809), executed through 12,149 transactions. The ISX60 price index closed at 1017.58 points, marking a 3% increase compared to the previous session's closing. The Iraq Stock Exchange holds five trading sessions weekly from Sunday to Thursday and lists 104 joint-stock companies operating across the banking, telecommunications, industry, agriculture, insurance, financial investment, tourism, and hotel sectors.

Similarly, the ISX15 index finished higher at 1145.42 points, up 1.90% from its weekly start of 1123.69 points. A total of 3,894 buy and sell contracts were executed on listed company shares throughout the week. According to the recorded data, over 6 billion shares were traded this week, with a total value surpassing $ ISX60 index opened the week at 1002.79 points and closed at 1017.58 points, reflecting a 1.45% increase.
