The crowd of over 200,000 then began echoing his lyrics back to him as he stood and watched in tears from the stage. Upon his return today, he again held back tears as the crowd enthusiastically greeted him. "Glastonbury. It's so good to be back," the singer said from the stage. "I'm not going to say much up here today because if I do, I think I'll probably start crying. "But it's just amazing to be here with you all and I can't thank you all enough for coming out and coming and seeing me." "When Lewis Capaldi's name was put up on the big screen and he walked out, it was not like anything I've ever experienced in a number of years at Glastonbury Festival," he said. "He sang every song with so much passion, but when he said that first note, you could see he was back doing what he loved. "That kind of radiated throughout the hundred thousand people potentially, that may have been watching. It was a really, really beautiful moment." His return to the stage was supposed to be a secret, but there were some hints around the festival grounds leading up to the show, including lyrics from his songs plastered on a billboard nearby. Lorraine Kelly 'left shaking like a leaf' after venture
The Glasgow-born star joined fellow presenter Dan Snow in a race up the 25-metre mast of the RSS Discovery in Dundee on Friday, with Snow reaching the top first by a few minutes. Lorraine Kelly said she was 'shaking like a leaf' as she scaled the mast of a historic ship that previously ventured to Antarctica, before abseiling to the ground. The feat aimed to emulate the working conditions the ship's original crew faced when it voyaged to Antarctica 124 years ago, albeit they endured harsh weather conditions and no modern safety precautions. After reaching the top, both TV stars waved for the cameras below. Snow spoke into the microphone of a camera drone above, with little-to-no fear in his voice. The Cutty Sark in London and the SS Great Britain in Bristol offer a similar challenge. After completing the climb, Kelly said: 'The experience in general was absolutely terrifying, and the only reason I think I got through it was because Dan Snow was doing it as well. 'He looked so calm as he was shimmying up the rigging. 'That made me feel a bit better, but I'm not good with heights, so it was scary. "I was shaking like a leaf, but it's really good to be back on dry land.' I'm obsessed with all things Antarctica, and she went to Antarctica. 'She's an old girl, so she needs a lot of maintenance, and obviously that costs a lot of money. 'This was all about raising awareness of the Discovery and letting everyone in Dundee have a look at her.' She said the experience also highlighted Scotland's former ties to the whaling industry, which was abolished in Scotland in 1963. The public have been voting for their favourite Islanders, and after the results came in, Megan Forte Clarke and Remell Mullins were revealed to be the public's least liked girl and boy in the villa. This meant they were asked to leave the island in the most recent instalment of the ITV reality show. Remell has been tipped to leave Love Island early ever since he stepped out on viewer favourite Alima, but Megan's exit comes as a surprise as only days ago viewers were predicting that she and her partner Tommy Bradley were frontrunners to win the entire series. Bookies indicated they were in the lead, with Betfred offering Megan at 15/8 and Unibet putting Tommy at 7/4 to take the Love Island prize home just last Wednesday (June 18). Fans also thought Megan was destined to be at the Love Island finale with Tommy by her side, as one previously tweeted: "I know Tommy and Megan are on the clear road to win Love Island UK but we actually can't let that happen." Fans have reacted to her exit, with one poking fun at her sudden fall from grace, saying: "Megan really quickly went from Hero to Zero." Another agreed: "Megan deffo had a chance at winning the show if she just stuck with Tommy." Someone else was delighted to see her booted out as a consequence for her actions, and shared: "Megan has been dumped? Thank God. What she did to Tommy was awful." She told her co-stars: "He said I've come out of my shell because of him, he said people only like you in here because of me." The girl went on to vent to Toni on the terrace the next day, joking: "Ben's head is as big as Majorca." Love Island viewers were quick to slam Ben for his disrespectful comments towards Yasmin on social media, with one raging: "Ben truly disgusts me. I wonder how he treats women in his family cuz this man is misogynistic as hell, he still saying wild shit about Yasmin." He later told Shakira he had never had real feelings for Yasmin and claimed she had been the one to initiate intimacy between them. Yasmin confronted Ben after being encouraged by Toni to stand up for herself, only for him to repeatedly interrupt her and ask: "Are you done ranting?" Yasmin hit back, reminding him that it "wasn't the Ben show" and that the " world doesn't revolve around" him. As Yasmin walked away, Ben shouted after her: "This is amazing content… You've just given Love Island three weeks of content," before cruelly adding, "No man wants you in here" and branding her "the most irrelevant girl I've ever met".
