ITV Emmerdale fans pray for couple not to get back together
Their on-again, off-again relationship has been a central storyline for many years. With Robert's recent return to Emmerdale following his release from prison, he interrupted Aaron's wedding to Robert's half-brother, John Sugden, sparking questions about their future together. ITV Emmerdale fans pray for couple not to get back together Following Robert's return on the ITV soap, fans have been discussing the couple and whether they want them to reunite. A post was made on the r/Emmerdale Reddit page, with the caption: "Is anyone else rooting for Aaron and Robert to get back together? It isn't even just about not liking John, I just really liked them two as a couple!" However, some fans were quick to shut down the idea of the couple getting back together. One said: "I appreciate the love story but I think they are better apart now. (Though we all know that won't happen). "Robert needs to focus on himself. As does Aaron." A second said: "Nope, they're a terrible couple who have never made any sense, same with John and Aaron." Another fan added: "No chemistry IMO and bad for each other because they are both toxic and violent in their own rights." Soaps That Have Won the Most Awards However, other fans disagreed and would love to see the pair come together once more. "They sparkle and crackle on screen, so I can't wait for them to get back together. A slow burn would be amazing," said one fan. Another said: "Can't wait for them to be reunited, but it has to be at the right time for both characters. Looking forward to seeing it all play out." When did Ryan Hawley return to Emmerdale as Robert Sugden? Actor Ryan Hawley played Robert Sugden on Emmerdale between 2014 and 2019 before quitting the show to "take on other roles". He was written out of the show in an "explosive" storyline which saw him kill his sister Victoria's rapist Lee Posner accidentally. Robert hit Lee with a shovel, and he fell, hitting his head on a rock. Robert pleaded guilty to the crime and was sentenced to 14 years in prison for murder, but returned to the show in June. Despite initially being reported as a guest stint, it was confirmed soon after that he was being reintroduced permanently. Many fans were excited to see Robert's return to the village. One said: "I almost shouted a big YES!!! Now hurry up and get rid of John." Recommended reading: A second said: "The king is back! Aaron is struggling to hide his delight at the end there. No way he will be able to resist a bit of Robert." A third fan added: "I don't mean to be dramatic but this man's return has genuinely changed the trajectory of my entire decade." Emmerdale is available to watch live and on demand via ITV and ITVX.

ITV Emmerdale legend Lisa Riley has spoken out about artificial intelligence bots pretending to be her. The actress, 48, is best known for her role as Mandy Dingle on the soap, having appeared across several stints since 1995. Taking to Instagram today, she decided to address a big issue that has had a number of her 217,000 followers duped. 'Please watch, please listen and please know the truth' she wrote, alongside a video. Addressing the camera, the former You've Been Framed presenter said: 'Hello everybody, it's Lisa here. Now, I have to keep reiterating this, please, and please listen.' 'If something is not on my page – and my page is blue-ticked – then it is not real,' she stated, referencing the social media network's notable person verification system. 'It is AI pretending to be me, and there is nothing I can do about it. It's a hoax, it's a scam and it's a lie. 'So please, I'm begging you, don't click on it, don't believe it, don't read it, don't give it any attention. It's not true. 'I have to keep reiterating this because I am inundated with people saying that I'm attached to things that I'm not. So please, if it's not on my page, it's not real and I have not endorsed anything of that like.' She concluded: 'Listen to what I'm saying, and don't take it as the truth because it's not. From me to you, I'm so sorry that it's going on because it's not real and I have to keep telling you guys this. 'But just don't believe it. It's a hoax and a scam. It's not the truth, thank you for listening.' This comes just one year on from Lisa addressing another identity scam, where fraudulent accounts posing as her obtained bank account details from Emmerdale fans. 'THIS IS A SCAM' she wrote at the time. Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? Who's leaving Coronation Street? The latest gossip from Emmerdale? ITV Emmerdale fans 'rumble' new shop owner as Eric Pollard is forced to sell
ITV Emmerdale viewers are convinced they've worked out who will take over the village shop, following Eric Pollard's confession that he will have to sell the business Emmerdale fans believe they've "cracked the case" of who will take over Eric Pollard's shop, and it's not David Metcalfe. The village shop has been a mainstay on the ITV soap since 2009, changing hands several times. This included to David (Matthew Wolfenden), who departed the village in 2023. Currently, David's dad Eric (Chris Chittell) has taken over with Tracy Robinson (Amy Walsh) regularly manning the till. However, as fans of the ITV soap will be aware, recent events have led viewers to question how long Eric will remain in charge, given his health slipping lower. Eric was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2023, and his condition has taken a turn for the worst in recent weeks. After a severe fall at home last week that landed him in hospital, Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) attempted to arrange a carer for his return home, reports Leicestershire Live. Following an unsuccessful trial with a carer after Eric found them to be unsuitable, he reluctantly agreed to let Kerry look after him, on the condition she accepted payment. If Eric didn't have enough to juggle with following the news of his health and his business hanging in the balance, he recently discovered his ex, Brenda Walker (Lesley Dunlop), won't be returning to the village following her departure back in April. Brenda sent Eric a card for his 80th birthday on Wednesday's episode earlier this week, informing him that she plans to continue "rediscovering herself" on the worldwide cruise she won. "I don't know why it is, but I always find a way to get rid of the ones that I really care for. I'm afraid, I'm a little bit too old for any change," Eric confessed. During Thursday's gripping hour-long episode, Kerry and Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) organised an unexpected party for Eric at the shop. Amid the celebrations, Kerry heard Eric relay to his mate Rodney Blackstock (Patrick Mower) his plans to flog the Wishing Well Barn and downsize. Subsequently, Eric experienced a change of heart and disclosed to Kerry his new intention to lease out the Barn on the off chance Brenda might come back to the village. "I've been thinking and I'm not going to sell. Despite what I said, there is the remotest possibility that Brenda might return. So, I'm going to rent it out and move next door," he said. Eric proceeded to extend an invitation to Kerry to relocate with him and Jacob. Despite Eric's hesitancy to part with the shop, many Emmerdale fans are certain they have cracked who could take over in upcoming episodes, with quite a few proposing the fresh face Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah). "Maybe Kammy's family will buy the shop, it's unusual to have a character in the soap and no house or family," speculated a user on a Facebook fan group. Another chimed in: "I'd love to see more of Kammy, what if he buys the shop from Eric?" while another fan quipped: "Yes to the Kammy redemption storyline." Elsewhere, a different viewer proposed: "Bet he lets Kerry have the shop," with yet another fan hoping: "I hope Eric doesn't sell the shop to Dawn and Joe."

Emmerdale Moira Dingle's sad update confirmed after 16 years as fans work out what's next
ITV Emmerdale saw Moira left worried about her future on the farm on Monday Monday night's Emmerdale saw Moira Dingle devastated over yet more bad news. The fan favourite character, played by Scot Natalie Robb, had been left panicked during a previous episode after she found a potentially dangerous and serious leak in a slurry tank as the ongoing plot surrounding John Sugden and Mackenzie Boyd's feud continued. John had opened the tank up to wreak havoc as part of his twisted revenge plot an caused devastation for Moria's farm. When she discovered the leak, John was pleased to see Mack get the blame. However, even more consequences of the attack on the farm machinery was the revelation by Cain Dingle that the slurry had affected the main water supply for the bilge, leaving John's nephew Harry in hospital after he drank the contaminated water. On Monday, as Harry was still on a drip in the hospital, Mack was isolated by the villagers as they bleed him for the health crisis. Moira was then given even more heartbreaking news as it was revealed she could lose the farm after 16 years because of the slurry spill clean-up costs. Her insurance firm was refusing to cover it, meaning she may be forced to close the business. Emmerdale fans took to social media to share their thoughts on the events as one said: "What will happen to Moira? will there be criminal charges.'Another said: "She would be better off selling the place, not making any money.' Meanwhile, Moria recently discovered her nephew Ross Barton has a long-lost secret half-brother, Lewis Barton. She found a letter for 'The Family of Emma Barton' just last week, reminding viewers of he fact that it was Moira who was responsible for evil Emma's death back in 2017. Moira, despite being worried about the repercussions, told Ross and he decided to meet Lewis. Ross struggled to address Lewis' tough questions about their shared history without unveiling the troubling family secrets he's been keeping for years. Ross eventually left, leaving his brother feeling rejected. But on Monday, he had a change of heart and met with Lewis again in a cafe. Lewis then admitted he knew about some of the family's dark history after researching online, so could Moira's secret be about to be let out of the bag?
