Wavelink partners with Penguin Solutions to boost OT resilience in ANZ

Wavelink has signed a distribution agreement with Penguin Solutions to offer high-availability computing and edge infrastructure solutions to partners in Australia and New Zealand. The partnership is expected to broaden Penguin Solutions' market presence in the region, providing local partners with access to a portfolio of fault tolerant computing products aimed at bolstering operational resilience, uptime, and continuity in critical operational environments, including operational technology settings. Key technologies Under the agreement, Wavelink will distribute Penguin Solutions' primary offerings, focusing in particular on the Stratus ztC Edge and Stratus ztC Endurance platforms. Both are described as high-availability hardware solutions that support continuous operation in mission-critical environments. Penguin Solutions has continued to provide the Stratus Technologies product line since acquiring the business in 2023; the Stratus brand has maintained a reputation for always-on infrastructure spanning more than four decades. In addition to hardware, Wavelink will offer Stratus everRun, a software-based fault tolerance option suitable for scenarios where dedicated hardware is not necessary. All three solutions can be integrated with cybersecurity technologies from Fortinet and Claroty, enhancing the overall operational technology (OT) portfolio available from Wavelink. Partner perspectives Hayden Thorogood, Country Manager, Australia and New Zealand, Penguin Solutions, said, "Penguin Solutions is excited to partner with Wavelink to expand the reach of our Stratus solutions across ANZ. Wavelink's deep OT expertise and its proven channel capabilities make it an ideal distribution partner. Together, Penguin Solutions and Wavelink are well positioned to deliver always-on infrastructure that meets the reliability and security demands of modern industrial organisations." Ilan Rubin, Chief Executive Officer, Wavelink, commented, "Stratus solutions have a strong global reputation for delivering fault tolerant infrastructure, and Penguin Solutions' continued investment in this technology aligns well with Wavelink's OT strategy. This agreement strengthens our cybersecurity and networking portfolio with proven hardware and software, empowering Wavelink's partners across ANZ to deliver more resilient and secure OT environments." OT Masters initiative The new partnership strengthens Wavelink's OT Masters initiative, a programme aimed at assembling leading OT vendors to provide integrated, outcome-focused solutions. Penguin Solutions joins a roster of established technology partners that includes Claroty, Fortinet, Garland Technology, and Swimlane. This collective forms an ecosystem intended to assist industrial organisations with security, visibility, and infrastructure, delivered through a single unified channel. Channel support Wavelink will implement the distribution agreement by offering partners a range of enablement services. These include pre- and post-sales support, technical training, business development programmes, and go-to-market guidance. The agreement also allows partners to tap into new opportunities in edge computing and critical infrastructure protection, leveraging the global backing of Infinigate and Wavelink's local expertise. Ilan Rubin further stated, "This partnership reflects Wavelink's continued investment in OT and commitment to delivering complete, integrated solutions that meet the evolving needs of industrial customers. Adding Penguin Solutions to the OT Masters initiative strengthens the value Wavelink offers to partners supporting critical industries. It's another important step in building the most connected and capable OT ecosystem in the region." The agreement is part of Wavelink's ongoing efforts to expand its offerings to partners involved in sectors with significant operational technology requirements, aiming to deliver increased resilience, security, and integration through a collaborative vendor ecosystem.

Wavelink to distribute Cloudian HyperStore for AI-ready storage

Wavelink has entered a distribution agreement with Cloudian to distribute Cloudian's S3-compatible file and object storage solutions across Australia, New Zealand, and Oceania. Under the agreement, Wavelink will make available Cloudian's HyperStore platform, an artificial intelligence (AI)-ready data solution designed for highly scalable, secure, and cost-effective storage requirements. Cloudian's platform Cloudian's HyperStore platform is aimed at organisations seeking scalable object storage, with capabilities that cover on-premises, private, and public cloud environments. The platform features a modular architecture and supports a pay-as-you-grow commercial model. This flexibility is intended to allow customers to move workloads from hyperscale clouds to local infrastructure in order to manage latency, control data, and improve cost predictability. The HyperStore platform offers exabyte scalability, full compatibility with the S3 application programming interface (API), multi-tenancy features, and what Cloudian describes as military-grade security. These features are positioned to support AI workloads that require secure, large-scale data access and management. Supporting cloud journeys Cloudian is a great fit for Wavelink's channel partners, from managed service providers to resellers specialising in cloud, infrastructure, and security. Wavelink is excited to support Cloudian's growth across the region, and its market leadership, flexible commercial model, and compatibility with a wide range of use cases make Cloudian an ideal addition to Wavelink's portfolio. This statement was made by Ilan Rubin, Chief Executive Officer, Wavelink. Rubin highlighted that the new partnership aligns Wavelink with channel partners involved in managed services, cloud, infrastructure, and security, and broadens the company's offering in the context of evolving enterprise data storage needs. The agreement is expected to help Wavelink serve partners throughout the cloud journey—whether they are optimising public cloud, adopting hybrid cloud strategies, or deploying AI model training and inferencing solutions on-premises. By combining Cloudian's platform with Wavelink's channel development services, both companies aim to meet the increasing regional demand for secure, AI-ready storage solutions. Regional expansion James Wright, Managing Director, Asia Pacific and Japan, Cloudian, said the agreement would extend Cloudian's presence across the region and bring the HyperStore platform to a wider audience. Wright stated: Cloudian is excited to partner with Wavelink to expand its reach across Australia, New Zealand, and Oceania, and in particular, to bring the HyperStore platform to more organisations. Whether customers are looking to contain public cloud costs, bring data closer to compute, or accelerate their AI initiatives, Cloudian's modern architecture is built to deliver. Cloudian's approach is targeted at organisations concerned with the cost and control of public cloud storage, as well as those seeking to advance AI projects or bring data resources nearer to computing infrastructure. Partner enablement Through this agreement, Wavelink will offer a range of support measures for technology partners, including tailored enablement programmes, technical training, and targeted go-to-market initiatives. These are designed to facilitate the adoption of Cloudian's solutions in industries that are increasingly leveraging AI and hybrid data strategies. Both companies have stated that coupling Cloudian's scalability with Wavelink's operational and channel support will help address the needs of organisations requiring storage infrastructure capable of supporting high volumes of secure, accessible data for modern AI- and cloud-based workloads.
