Annai Tamil Mandram marks International Yoga Day with special session

To mark International Yoga Day, Annai Tamil Mandram, a Bahrain-based social service organisation, in collaboration with the Indian Club, hosted a special yoga session yesterday at the Indian Club's Indoor Hall. The event began with a welcome address by Mr. Arul Ganesan, Assistant Treasurer of Annai Tamil Mandram. Led by Yoga Master Mr. Saminath Sekar, the session featured several qualified instructors who guided participants through a series of yoga postures, breathing exercises, and meditation techniques, fostering an environment of calm and mindfulness. Mr. Senthil G.K, President of Annai Tamil Mandram, honoured the instructors with certificates of appreciation and gifts for their contributions. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Palanichamy, General Secretary of the organisation. Participation certificates, gifts, and refreshments were distributed to all attendees, marking a successful and engaging celebration of holistic wellness.

Gurudeva Social Society Celebrates ‘Samanwayam 2025'

The Gurudeva Social Society, operating from Salmaniya Kanoo Garden, in collaboration with Star Vision Events, successfully organized 'Samanwayam 2025' at the Indian Club recently. The vibrant event marked the inauguration of the society's new executive committee for the year 2025-26 and concluded the silver jubilee celebrations held by the society last year. A highlight was the Mehndi Night held in conjunction with Eid. The musical night featuring Mappila songs and a one-man show by renowned singer and comedy artist Rajesh Adimali added to the grandeur of the ceremonies. The event, held in a packed auditorium with prominent figures from Bahrain's social, cultural, and political spheres, along with representatives from other organizations, family members, and children, was presided over by the society's chairman, Sanish Koorumullil. The chief guest, Idukki Member of Parliament Adv. Dean Kuriakose, inaugurated the function by lighting the traditional lamp. Special address Prominent businessman and Pravasi Bharathiya Samman Award recipient K. G. Baburajan delivered a special address as the guest of honor. The GSS Business Icon Award for this year was presented to Dr. K. S. Menon, a prominent businessman and Managing Director of Bordaan Contracting Company, by the chief guest. Shabeer M. K., Managing Director of Uniform City, was also felicitated at the ceremony

Stage set for Indian Club May Queen beauty pageant

Every year the month of May brings in the most awaited beauty pageant on the Island which has been held uninterrupted for the last 60 years at the Indian Club under the name 'MAY QUEEN'. The Indian Club May Queen pageant is a prominent beauty contest held as a calendar event which has gained popularity over the years and is considered as one of the premium competitions for the ladies with beauty and brains. This year, the Indian Club May Queen 2025 will take place on Friday 23rd, May 2025, at The Indian Club premises, starting from 6pm onwards. The entry for the contest is open to all ladies between the age group of 17 years to 27 years, residing in Bahrain. Nationalities This beauty pageant over the years has attracted ladies of different nationalities like Bahrain, India, United Kingdom, US, Netherlands, Russia, Sri Lanka, France, Philippines, among others, for the coveted May Queen Crown. The shortlisted contestants would be subjected to grooming sessions at the Indian Club premises to instill confidence and style. The Indian Club May Queen contest attracts audience from different walks of life, interested in this entertaining evening of beautiful ladies vying for various other categories like Best Smile, Best Walk, Best Hairdo, inclusive of the May Queen Crown, the First Runner-up and the Second Runner-up. Prizes The winners will walk away with attractive prizes inclusive of Cash, Jewellery, Fashion accessories and Gift hampers. The total prize money for the May Queen 2025 will be $3,000. The pageant will have three competitive rounds.

As part of the May Day Celebration, The Indian Club Bahrain in association with KIMS Hospital will organise a specialized medical camp on Thursday 1st May 2025, in the Indian Club premises, starting from 8am-1pm. This medical camp will be open to all and is exclusively a specialized camp with the doctors from KIMS Hospital, i.e., General Doctor - Dr. Sankari, Diabetic Specialist (IM) – Dr. Hajira, General Surgeon – Dr. Akash, Dentist -Dr. Desmond, a Dietitian, along with other Free wellness Lab tests. The Indian Club office bears requested the general public to attend and avail this free facility. Annai Tamil Mandram Hosts Grand Camaraderie Iftar Meet in Bahrain

TDT | Manama Annai Tamil Mandram (ATM) Bahrain, in collaboration with the Indian Club, hosted a grand Camaraderie Iftar Meet at the Indian Club on March 21. The event brought together dignitaries, community leaders, and over 750 attendees for an evening of unity and celebration. ATM President Mr. Senthil GK, General Secretary Mr. Palanichamy, and other executive members welcomed the distinguished guests, including H.E. Dr. Mariam Al Dhein, MP, H.E. Henan Fardhan, MP, and former BDF officers Mr. Hesham Zaal Khalifa Zaal Al Buflasheh and Mr. Salman Al Fadhel. Several prominent business leaders also graced the occasion. A highlight of the gathering was the distribution of food kits to all attendees, reinforcing the spirit of generosity and community support. Mr. Joseph Joy, Vice President of the Indian Club, and Mr. Ameer Ali, Managing Director of Anbu Business Group, delivered speeches emphasizing the significance of Iftar in fostering unity and compassion.
