Tyrese Haliburton's Girlfriend Shares Playful Moment During Pacers Star's Recovery
Tyrese Haliburton's Girlfriend Shares Playful Moment During Pacers Star's Recovery originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton might be facing a long road back to the basketball court, but he's finding ways to keep his spirits high and keep his girlfriend, Jade Jones, on her toes. Advertisement Just days after undergoing surgery for a torn Achilles tendon, Haliburton appeared in a lighthearted Instagram Story shared by Jones, giving fans a glimpse into how the Pacers guard is coping off the court. In the video, Haliburton is seen standing on one leg while the other rests on a stationary bike, ringing a small bell and repeatedly calling out, 'Jade, Jade!' 'This guy did NOT order a bell guys please,' Jones captioned the clip, making it clear that Haliburton's antics are keeping life at home lively and maybe a bit chaotic. Haliburton suffered a devastating injury during Game 7 of the NBA Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder. After hitting three three-point shots early in the game, he fell to the court in the first quarter. Advertisement An MRI later confirmed a torn right Achilles tendon, ending his Finals run and potentially sidelining him for the entire 2025-26 NBA season. Despite the heartbreak, Haliburton has remained positive. In a message to fans after his surgery, he called the moment 'shock,' but said he doesn't regret pushing through previous injuries to try and bring Indiana its first NBA title. Jones, who has been by Haliburton's side since their days at Iowa State University, has shown unwavering support throughout his recovery. After the Finals, she posted a heartfelt message on Instagram celebrating both the team and her boyfriend's resilience. Advertisement 'Every step of the way,' she wrote. 'A run we will remember for a lifetime. You are so amazing!' She also expressed admiration for the Pacers' historic postseason run, describing it as 'one of the best things we have ever been a part of.' While the path back to the court may be long, Haliburton's sense of humor and the love and support of his girlfriend are helping him stay upbeat. Heartening Video of Caitlin Clark on Fever Sideline Emerges as Star Misses 6th Game
Heartening Video of Caitlin Clark on Fever Sideline Emerges as Star Misses 6th Game originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Indiana Fever have already gotten their fill of games absent superstar point guard Caitlin Clark, but unfortunately a second injury in her second WNBA season will force them to stomach at least a little more. Advertisement Clark sat out five contests earlier this year with a strained quad muscle she sustained on May 24. Indiana went 2-3 over that stretch. Then Clark returned exactly three weeks later and the Fever smashed the New York Liberty, the league's last undefeated team at the time, by 14 points. Clark finished the contest with 32 points, nine assists, eight rebounds, two blocks and a steal, as Indiana looked every bit the title contender that the vast majority of sportsbooks projected the franchise would be heading into the 2025 campaign. Advertisement Clark will sit out the game, her sixth missed contest of the season, with a groin injury that the team caught during an MRI on Wednesday night. "I think it's very much a day-to-day thing," Indiana head coach Stephanie White told reporters before Thursday's game, per Kendra Andrews of ESPN. "How she responds to treatment." Video of Clark in street clothes with her teammates on the sidelines ahead of the contest began circulating on social media just minutes before tip off. As per usual, Clark appeared affable and supportive of the entire bench, handing out as many hugs and high-fives. "Caitlin Clark (left groin) missing her sixth game this season," Scott Agness of Fieldhouse Files captioned the reel of Clark that he shared to his X account. Advertisement The Fever (7-7) entered the game against the Sparks (4-11) as 5.5-point favorites, even despite news of Clark's absence. WNBA Star Goes Viral For 'Snitching' On Caitlin Clark
WNBA Star Goes Viral For 'Snitching' On Caitlin Clark originally appeared on The Spun. Despite sitting out Thursday night's game, Caitlin Clark still ended up on her opponent's radar. The Indiana Fever announced Thursday that Clark would miss their game against the Los Angeles Sparks due to a groin injury. The severity of her injury hasn't been revealed at this time, but there's a chance she'll miss Friday's game against the Dallas Wings. Advertisement "I think it's very much a day-to-day thing ... how she responds to treatment," Fever coach Stephanie White said. Even though Clark was on the bench for the entire Fever-Sparks game, she had an incredible interaction with Kelsey Plum that went viral. Plum told Clark to take a seat at one point during the Fever-Sparks game. She even let the refs know that Clark has to sit down. Some WNBA fans thought Plum's remarks towards Clark were hilarious. On the flip side, others accused her of snitching on the former No. 1 pick. Ratings would skyrocket," a second fan declared. "She's right, she's not the coach," another fan said. "These two are always fun they'll find their way to each other on the same team one day," a social media user wrote. It's pretty clear that Plum was just messing around with Clark. There's no reason for fans to be critical of her antics. As for Thursday night's results, the Fever fell short to the Sparks. They're now 2-4 without Clark in the lineup. The Fever will meet the Sparks again on July 5. Hopefully, Clark will be available for the rematch. Indiana Fever Make Direct Request Before Wings Game
Indiana Fever Make Direct Request Before Wings Game originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Indiana Fever enter their matchup against the Dallas Wings on Friday with a 7-8 record, sitting fourth in the Eastern Conference and just outside of the playoff picture. Advertisement After an encouraging 5-3 stretch in June, the team has been hampered by inconsistent finishes and key injuries, notably dropping three of their last four contests despite holding double-digit leads late in games. Amid these on-court challenges, the Fever made headlines off the court by taking to X on Friday to urge fans to cast their ballots on the final double voting day of the WNBA All-Star fan poll. The team spotlighted five players: Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston, Kelsey Mitchell, Lexie Hull and Natasha Howard, encouraging supporters to rally behind their stars. This push comes as the Fever prepare to host the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on July 19. Indiana's fortunes this season have been closely tied to the availability of Clark, who, selected first overall in the 2024 WNBA draft, has quickly become the face of the franchise. Advertisement This season, she's averaging 18.2 points, 8.9 assists, 5 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game, shooting 39.0% from the field and 29.5% from 3-point range in nine games. Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Peltier-Imagn Images However, a left quadriceps strain sidelined her for five games, and after a brief return, Clark will now be out of the Wings game and potentially longer, with her status being described as "day-to-day." With the Dallas game setting the tone for a critical stretch of the schedule, Indiana will aim to reignite their season and keep playoff aspirations alive without its star player. INDIANAPOLIS – The stars came out for the 2025 Rivals Five-Star event at the Indianapolis Colts' facility this week. Here we break down the top receivers from the event. His impressive track speed is what everyone knows about. But his ability to run crisp routes, create separation and catch the ball continue to get better. That's a scary proposition for opposing defenses. Advertisement Many programs including Tennessee are trying to move him off his commitment to Ohio State. It'll be tough to do so as long as coach Brian Hartline is on staff. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH OHIO STATE FANS AT Gregory is a consistent performer at every event. He just makes plays. The Texas A&M commitment is a crafty route runner that gets just enough separation on his routes. But his calling card is his hands. Gregory rarely drops a pass and we didn't see it happen again during the Rivals Five-Star. Coach Mike Elko will have a very dependable weapon in his offense. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH TEXAS A&M FANS AT The IMG Academy star was one of the youngest players in attendance but made a huge impact. He won the fastest man competition, beating everyone in the finals. McFarland was consistently open during the one-on-ones and 7-on-7 portion of camp. Advertisement He's a name the country will know about in short order. Sadler was one of the bigger surprises of camp. We knew he was good but no one saw it coming that he'd be able to get open with such ease against some of the best defensive backs in the country. The Michigan native is electric in the slot and took home MVP honors. North Carolina has the momentum in this recruitment. But Colorado, Maryland, Michigan and Michigan State are still in the hunt for him.
