Exclusive - Pushpa Impossible actress Indraxi Kanjilal shares the joy of buying her first car in Mumbai: My parents, my family, and everyone are so proud of me
Young actress Indraxi Kanjilal, known for her role as Prarthana in Pushpa Impossible, recently bought her first car in Mumbai and shared her joy at having her own vehicle. She says, 'I think buying my first car is a special moment for me, and it is indeed a big achievement. My parents, my family, and everyone are so proud of me. And I'm just so happy that I could make them proud. That's all I've ever wanted—to make my people proud. My fans are happy, they're proud of me. Honestly, since childhood, that has been one of my most important goals—to make the people I love proud. I was talking to my father, and he said, 'You got your first car at 21; I got mine in my 30s. It's a big deal that you could do this at such a young age. I'm so proud of you.' Hearing that made me so emotional. I was there with my pet daughter (cat), Godi, and she was really happy too. She was hanging around in the car and loved it. Actually, she's never been comfortable in cars, but this one was different. It's the first time she felt at ease in a car, and I think it's because she knew it was her mother's car. That just made me love it even more. Even my grandmothers sat in it and enjoyed the ride. Seeing them happy meant everything to me. In the end, that's what matters: happiness and pride.' Sharing the effort she put into buying her first car, Indraxi says, 'Getting my first car took a lot of effort, actually. I've been working for three years now and am currently in my fourth year in the industry. Since my second year, I've really wanted a car because travelling in Mumbai is such a hassle. With the traffic, long distances, and the struggle of finding an Uber, it just becomes too much sometimes. So I thought, 'Let's get a car. ' But I also told myself that I would only buy one when I was financially ready. Honestly, I was a little nervous too, because owning a car comes with a lot of added responsibilities and expenses. But still, I felt confident. I told myself I'm ready to take on everything that comes with it. I bought the car when I felt truly prepared, and now I just have to go with the flow and enjoy this new journey. It's a brand-new and very exciting experience for me.' Indraxi will be driving her car but also plans to hire a driver whenever says, 'I'll have a driver with me in the beginning, and I'll drive a little at a time to build my confidence. Hopefully, with enough practice, I'll be ready to handle Mumbai traffic on my own. With my new car, I would love to go to Marine Drive—it's such a beautiful place, especially in the monsoon. I really love visiting Chowpatty too. I had always told myself that when I got my first car, I would drive to Marine Drive and just sit there, breathing in the fresh, beautiful air. That's exactly what I want to do. I also plan to take my family with me. I'm hoping that my father will come down from Kolkata so that we can all go for a drive together. That would be so special and so much fun.' Did you know Gauahar Khan drove herself to the hospital for her delivery? Here's what actress revealed

Exclusive - Indraxi Kanjilal talks about her love for tattoos; 'I choose not to get tattoos of God on my body at all'
Young actress Indraxi Kanjilal, who is better known as Prathana from the show Pushpa Impossible, has three tattoos so far and plans to have more in the coming years. She elaborates,' I have three tattoos so far. I don't know what will happen in the future, maybe I'll get more. But for now, I only have these first tattoo I got was when I was just 15. I knew the woman who was getting the tattoo done. She was a good person and a known tattoo artist. At that age, I wasn't allowed to get a tattoo, but I requested a lot and she finally agreed. That tattoo is a small heart on the left side of my chest. It's very beautiful and meaningful to me. It holds a lot of emotions and memories and is very close to my other two tattoos I got were after I turned 17, to celebrate my birthday. Both are on my fingers. One is a star on my right finger because I love stars they're magical and beautiful. The second one says 'Indiva' with a heart and heartbeat design. I created the word "Indiva" when I was around 15 or 16. It means your 'inner diva.' I've always dreamt of starting a company with that name when I grow older and become financially independent. I'm still working on that dream.' Getting a tattoo at times is a painful process so how did Indraxi tackle the pain! On this she says,'Yes, getting a tattoo can be a painful process but it really depends on the person. Everyone has a different level of pain tolerance, and the pain also depends on the area where you get the example, when I got my chest tattoo, it didn't hurt much. There's more muscle there, and it's generally a spot that doesn't hurt a lot during a tattoo. Also, I have high pain tolerance. I can handle a lot of pain. Even if I'm in extreme discomfort like my stomach hurting or my body cramping you won't be able to tell that by looking at me. I don't show pain on my face easily. That's just how I when I got my finger tattoos, it was a different story. It hurt a lot though I didn't show it. Fingers have very little muscle, and the tattoo needle goes close to the bones. Getting tattooed in areas with less flesh or muscle can be extremely painful. My finger tattoos really hurt like hell!' Many people do not prefer god/goddess tattoos in their bodies. And Indraxi also shares her thoughts on the same. She says,'I know a lot of people who have God tattoos on their bodies. Many of my friends have such tattoos. But personally, I'm a spiritual person, and I believe that spirituality doesn't come from drawing gods on your body or visiting temples just to worship. For me, true spirituality comes from helping others whether it's people or animals who are really in need. That's how I believe you receive blessings from the divine. Not by getting images of gods on your body.I also feel that getting a tattoo of a god on any body part is not appropriate. In fact, for me, it's completely wrong, almost like blasphemy. I choose not to get tattoos of God on my body at all.' Indraxi also shares that sometimes covering the tattoos can be troublesome because as an actor that is sometimes the criteria to hide your tattoos. She adds,' As actors, we have to play different roles all the time. Covering tattoos can become a big hassle during shoots. That's why many actors avoid getting tattoos just to save themselves the trouble of hiding them with makeup or costumes. But at the same time, I really love tattoos. It's a part of my personality, and I've been getting tattoos since a very young age. I might still get two or three more, but only on body parts that won't be visible during shoots. When I grow older maybe at 60 or 70 I'll definitely have more tattoos. That age is the best time, honestly. No one really questions you, and you can do whatever you love. It's such an unbothered, peaceful phase of life.' All My Firsts Ft. Hunar Hale |Exclusive|

Pushpa Impossible actress Indraxi Kanjilal on her deep love for music: It is my therapy, my soul, and my safe space
On the occasion of World Music Day, actress Indraxi Kanjilal, who is currently winning hearts as Prarthana in the popular TV show Pushpa Impossible, opened up about her deep-rooted connection with music. For Indraxi, music is far more than just background entertainment—it's a life force, an emotional healer, and a part of her cultural identity. 'I think music is the most important part of my life,' she shares. 'When I want to calm down, enjoy myself or feel happy in the moment, I listen to music. It has become a part of my everyday life. Even when I feel upset or have a breakdown, I simply play music, and instantly, I feel better.' She further adds, 'Music is like therapy for me. I don't usually go to therapy because I don't have the time or energy, but music gives me that same peace and healing. It keeps me calm and also gives me energy when I need it. If I had to choose between music and something like fashion or good clothes, I would still choose music. Music is a part of my culture, my soul, my everyday life.' Indraxi's taste in music spans across genres and languages. From old Bollywood classics to international pop, her playlist is as vibrant as her personality. 'I love old romantic songs, K-pop, American pop… and if I have to name my favorites, Lata Mangeshkar, Shreya Ghoshal, Arijit Singh, and Kishore Kumar are right at the top,' she says. Among international artists, 'Elvis Presley, Taylor Swift , Ariana Grande , Jessie J, Nicki Minaj, and Megan Thee Stallion are some of my go-tos.' by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Buy Brass Idols - Handmade Brass Statues for Home & Gifting Luxeartisanship Buy Now Undo She continues, 'Right now, I'm obsessed with Ariana Grande's Only One and Honeymoon Avenue. Another favorite is Taylor Swift's All Too Well. Every time I hear it, I sing with all my heart.' The actress, who hails from Kolkata, believes music can uplift any mood. 'Every time I feel upset, I play some upbeat music, and my mood becomes better almost instantly. Even at night, when I can't sleep, I listen to soft music and I'm asleep within a few songs.' On the trend of remixing old classics, Indraxi is clear in her stance. 'I don't like the idea of remixing legendary songs into loud, disco-style versions. They take away the original magic and charm. One remake I actually liked was Gulabi Aankhen by Sanam. He kept the soul of the song intact.' Indraxi's words reflect a profound respect for the emotional and cultural power of music—an art form that, for her, goes far beyond mere sound. Whether on screen or in life, she continues to live with rhythm, emotion, and grace.

Indraxi Kanjilal dreams of playing a dark feminine lead: ‘She doesn't wait for a hero, she is the hero'
Television actress Indraxi Kanjilal, known for her compelling roles in Pushpa Impossible and Wagle Ki Duniya, recently opened up about her dream to portray a dark, powerful female character—one that breaks the mould of traditional portrayals often seen on Indian screens. Speaking candidly about her aspirations, Indraxi expressed a strong desire to explore complex, intense roles that allow her to delve deeper into nuanced storytelling. 'I really dream—or rather, aspire—to play a dark feminine woman in a film, web series, or television show,' she said. 'It's a side of femininity that hasn't been explored much in Indian content. A woman who knows what she wants, who fights her battles, and avenges herself without waiting for a man to rescue her—that's the kind of character I admire, and honestly, that's who I am in real life too.' The actress believes such a role would give her the opportunity to showcase strength, mystery, and power on screen—traits she feels are underrepresented in female characters. 'I get frustrated when the leading lady always turns to the male lead asking, 'What do we do now?' Women are incredibly intuitive, especially in high-stress situations. It's instinctive,' she added. Indraxi, who portrays Prarthana in Pushpa Impossible, revealed that her journey into acting was a long-standing dream. 'I've wanted to be an actress since I was a child. Watching TV, I would imagine myself in those roles. It was never a question of if, but when. I used to tell my friends, 'When I become an actress, I'll do this or that.' That belief was always in me. I manifested it.' With a growing fan base and notable performances to her credit, Indraxi Kanjilal is steadily carving a niche for herself—and eagerly waiting for the opportunity to embody her dream role of a bold, dark heroine who redefines the idea of female strength on screen.

Indraxi Kanjilal on World Environment Day: People need to take responsibility to keep their surroundings clean
On the occasion of World Environment Day , actress Indraxi Kanjilal, known for her role as Prarthana in Pushpa Impossible, opened up about the urgent need for collective responsibility when it comes to the environment. Sharing her observations and frustrations, Indraxi stressed that the real solution lies in basic awareness and individual accountability. 'I think people themselves need to be aware and take responsibility for where they throw their garbage. That's the only real way to keep things clean,' she said. Recalling a recent experience, she shared, 'I recently visited a beach near Kolkata, which is one of the most popular beaches. The government has already declared that throwing garbage around is illegal and anyone caught doing it will be fined. The people there were actually very careful. The beach had dustbins placed everywhere—two types of bins for different types of waste. I think that's exactly how it should be. ' For Indraxi, it's a combined effort between citizens and the government that can bring real change. 'At that beach, I saw how seriously everyone was taking this. There were dustbins at every 10 steps, literally. It was very well managed. I believe both people and the government need to be alert and responsible. Only with public awareness and strict government action can we manage waste properly.' However, her hope dims when it comes to air pollution, a growing threat we encounter every day. 'Air pollution is caused by things we use every day—air conditioners, cars, trucks. These things can't just be stopped. You can't tell people to not use ACs or cars. Even if you tell them to be cautious or use public transport, most won't listen,' she lamented. Reflecting on years of hearing the same advice in school, Indraxi questioned whether people ever truly take action. 'Since I was a child, I've heard teachers and guests talk about reducing pollution—use public transport, save electricity. But hardly anyone follows it. People say all the right things, but the real question is: are we even listening?' With a tinge of sadness, she concluded, 'The damage is already done. Things will only get worse. The number of cars, electric vehicles, and machines that emit harmful gases is increasing. Honestly, I don't think anything can really fix it now.' However, she adds that the buck stops at us. 'As someone who lives on this Earth, I feel it's my duty to take care of our planet. I believe it's important to keep the Earth healthy and do whatever I can to avoid polluting my country and the world. So yes, I try to follow good habits every day. I don't waste water. I always separate wet and dry garbage. That's the most basic thing we all should do. I avoid using plastic as much as possible. And even if I do use it, I make sure not to throw it around carelessly. Plastic should be thrown in proper places because it harms the environment. Also, I make sure not to waste electricity. That's another basic but very important thing. Overall, I always try my best to protect the environment and do whatever little I can to make a difference.'
