Unassuming tower block was seen by millions on beloved noughties sitcom – but do YOU recognise it now?

Can you spot where iconic scenes were filmed HOUSE THAT Unassuming tower block was seen by millions on beloved noughties sitcom – but do YOU recognise it now? Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) THIS seemingly plain tower block appeared in a hit noughties sitcom - but could you recognise it now? The flats featured in a much-loved British TV show, although it might look a little different to how you remember it. Credit: Deadline 8 Zodiac House has been renovated and now boasts 73 modern flats Credit: © Infinite 3D and shedkm Zodiac House, located in London, Croydon, has been fully refurbished into 73 homes. They have been taken on by the local authority and are set to be used as temporary accommodation for those facing homelessness. But one of the flats was once home to Mark and Jeremy, in Peep Show. The duo, played by David Mitchell and Robert Webb, are remembered for their chaotic shenanigans inside the London property, alongside Matt King or 'Super Hans'. New tenants could retrace Jez and Mark's steps through the two-bedroom home and share conversations in the living room while overlooking "majestic views". One flat hit the market last year, and it boasted an integrated, modern kitchen - a step up from the iconic dingy blue one the Peep Show roommates burnt toast in. The family bathroom was similarly been renovated and a long way from the bathtub Jeremy found himself sleeping in many times. The listing, posted by estate agents Black + Blanc, Bromley on Rightmove read: "This an excellent opportunity to purchase a recently fully refurbished and renovated two-bedroom apartment in the iconic Zodiac Court. "The property is an ideal purchase for an individual looking to get onto the property ladder as a first time buyer or a buy to let investor looking to obtain an attractive rental yield." "The owners have been able to refurbish and polish the original parquet flooring, which adds to the character of the property. "The décor is light and airy and will allow a buyer to use their imagination to put their stamp on it." Measuring 792 square feet, the property has two generously sized bedrooms with ample storage in the master and integrated storage in the second. "The apartment is installed with central gas heating, and each room has large gas central heating radiators. "The apartment is integrated with double-glazed windows," the listing added. It was on offer for £300,000 and properties in Croydon had an overall average price of £438,561 over the last year according to Rightmove. 8 It was once home to Mark and Jeremy in Peep Show Credit: Handout 8 The beloved sitcom was filmed inside one of the flats Credit: handout 8 They are now going to be used as temporary accommodation by Croydon Council Credit: Deadline Now, the council have since snapped up Zodiac House as part of their initiative to combat homelessness. The flats will provide a safe space for those waiting for long-term housing. It will also see Croydon Council hit its targets for Homelessness Duty under the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017. There's a mix of two and three-bedroom flats, like the one described above, available. They will all come furnished with the essentials, and there's a 24-hour concierge. Funds are being sourced from the Right to Buy scheme, Local Authority Housing Grants, and borrowing. Jason Perry, Executive Mayor of Croydon, said: 'This is another step in addressing the significant homelessness challenges we face. "The increased demand for services and shortage of accommodation means we have to look at doing things differently, and the purchase of Zodiac House is a good example of this. 'The scheme will give us 73 residential units to support residents facing homelessness. "This will improve the Council's supply of accommodation and reduce spending on expensive temporary arrangements, as well as providing safe and secure homes for our residents.' This comes as the house that featured in a hugely popular BBC sitcom from the 90s has gone on the market with a £330,000 price tag – but can you name the show? As a clue, the main character's catchphrase was 'I don't believe it.' The property seen in the classic British comedy One Foot in the Grave was the home of the perpetually grumpy character Victor Meldrew and it could be yours for £337,500. The exterior of the terraced property in Christchurch, Dorset, featured heavily in the 1990s show. Meanwhile, Rightmove has revealed the most viewed homes so far in 2025 - including a £59 million townhouse, and an 'historic gem'. The popular property site has something for everyone, whether you're looking for your next home, or simply want to have a bit of a snoop. 8 One of the flats previously hit the market for £300,000 Credit: Deadline 8 There's a mix of two and three-bedroom apartments available

Local gamer supported by award-winning rapper on competitive quest

An Angus, Ont. man who is an avid gamer is determined to take his talents to an international stage and live out a lifelong dream despite his rare condition. Joe McClusky, 30, was born with VACTERL Syndrome, and has spent his life fighting in both video games and reality. 'I've been playing things like Nintendo 64, Super Nintendo, since I was sitting in SickKids trying not to die,' McClusky said. VACTERL Syndrome is characterized by a series of birth defects. The VACTERL acronym represents seven abnormalities, including vertebral, anorectal, cardiovascular, tracheal, esophageal, renal and limb. 'In order to have this condition, you have to have three out of the seven letters/conditions. And I have all seven of them,' said McClusky. During his recovery from more than 250 surgeries, McClusky developed his passion for gaming. 'The nurses would allow me to use one of the TV's with the cards on it,' he said. 'Luckily I was born at a time where, instead of a VCR, they would have game consoles on them.' Joe McCluskey Joe McCluskey hopes to attend the EVO in Las Vegas with a caregiver in August. (CTV News/Mike Lang) McClusky mastered his skills in the 'Street Fighter' series and reached a competitive level six years ago, all while adapting to conventional controllers. His limited but quick extremities caught the eye of Infinite, a three-time Juno award winner, at a Barrie gaming event last year. 'Mr. Joe and I met at Game On! After Dark,' said the Toronto rapper. 'I was just so amazed to watch how talented he was with the controller and his condition.' Infinite is the soundtrack artist and voice of 'Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike.' He is hoping to help send McClusky to Las Vegas in early August to compete in EVO 2025, the world's largest fighting game tournament. 'I want to show the world what real courage looks like,' added Infinite. The rapper is supporting McClusky in his quest to afford living out his dream, where he would compete on the international stage for prizes of up to $20,000 USD. 'This has been a dream ever since I really felt like I've reached a competitive level,' said McClusky, while also speaking of the challenges he would have to overcome to reach that stage. 'I cannot really afford to go myself because I also need to take a caregiver with me.' A GoFundMe for Joe has been created with the goal of raising the Canadian equivalent of €4,000. His family says whatever is raised above their goal will be donated to the SickKids Foundation and BlindWarriorSven Foundation, which supports blind gamers.

Eminem's music company 'sues Meta for $109,000,000 over 243 of his songs'

Eminem's music company Eight Mile Style has sued Facebook's parent company Meta for $109 million, it is reported. The 52-year-old rapper's publishing company has filed a lawsuit over alleged copyright infringement to the tune of $109million (£80.6m), arguing Meta Platforms violated the copyright of 243 of his songs. The filling, obtained by E! News and made by Eminem's music company Eight Mile Style, alleged Meta, which owns Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, published a range of tools that 'allow and encourage its users to steal' Eminem's recordings to use in video content 'without proper attribution or license'. The lawsuit also accused Meta Platforms of not only 'rampant infringement' of Eight Mile Compositions, but also of 'knowing infringement', according to reports. Specifically, the lawsuit cited Meta's Original Audio and Reels services, which it argued knowingly facilitated the 'unauthorized storage, reproduction and exploitation' of Eminem's original music. Subsequently, Eminem – real name Marshall Mathers – sought to recoup monetary losses driven by 'the diminished value of the copyrights by Defendants' theft of them, lost profits, and Defendants' profits attributable to the infringement'. If that value could not be agreed on, the lawsuit requested Eminem receive the maximum statutory damages: $150,000 (£111,000) for each of the 243 songs across all three of Meta's platforms, totalling more than $100 million. This comes as Eminem celebrated 25 years since his third studio album The Marshall Mathers LP, which was released on May 23, 2000, after his debut Infinite in 1996, and The Slim Shady LP in 1999. Since, the rapper has sold over 100million albums worldwide, and is still making music, with his latest album The Death of Slim Shady, which dropped in July last year. While the album landed to mixed reviews, it saw the Lose Yourself hitmaker earn his 11th number one album, joining the likes of Taylor Swift, U2 and David Bowie. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Through his single Temporary, Eminem announced he was going to be a grandfather. The music video, released in October, showed him holding up his daughter Hailie's baby scan photo, looking chuffed. More Trending The emotional song took the form of a message for his daughter to help her grieve when he is gone. Born in Missouri, Eminem has three half-siblings called Michael, Sarah and Nate and he lived with his mother Debbie as they moved to a number of different cities before eventually settling in Detroit, Michigan. At the age of 15, the musician met his e-wife Kimberley Anne Scott in high school. They started a relationship and welcomed daughter Hailie together in 1995. Metro has contacted Meta for comment.
