Police continue search for Orléans sexual assault suspect after more victims come forward
Ottawa police are searching for a suspect involved in several sexual assaults in Ottawa's east end. (Ottawa Police Service/Provided) The Ottawa Police Service says the search continues for a man allegedly responsible for several sexual assaults in Orléans this month after additional victims came forward. In a news release last week, police made a call for witnesses after a woman was sexually assaulted while jogging in Orléans. The incident occurred in the area of Innes Road and Viseneau Drive at approximately 8:45 a.m. on June 8. On Wednesday, police say a woman reported being approached from behind by a man while she was riding a bike on Saturday at approximately 9:30 a.m. in the area of Innes Road and Belcourt Boulevard. Another victim reported a similar incident at around the same time in the area of St. Georges and Schouten Drive. The suspect is described as a White male with a thin build wearing a blue hoodie with the hood up and blue jeans. He was riding a blue or purple Stratus bike. Investigators have obtained a photo to better identify him. 'Please take note of the distinctive bicycle and Nike 'Dunk Low' shoes visible in the image,' Ottawa police say. Investigators believe there may be additional victims and are urging them to come forward. Woman sexually assaulted while running in Orléans last weekend, police say

(CTV News Ottawa) The Ottawa Police Service is appealing for witnesses to come forward after a woman was sexually assaulted while jogging in Orléans. The incident occurred in the area of Innes Road and Viseneau Drive at approximately 8:45 a.m. Sunday. Police say a male on a bicycle approached the woman from behind and sexually assaulted her. 'The male did not stop and continued to ride his bicycle out of the area,' police said in a media release. 'He is described as white with a skinny build. He had dark hair, wore a dark shirt and pants, and rode an older-style mountain bicycle.' Investigators would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have dash cam or surveillance footage of the area Sunday morning. The first incident happened on Innes Road on Tuesday when two pedestrians were struck, killing one and sending the other to hospital in critical condition. The second incident happened Wednesday on Industrial Avenue.

Police seek witnesses to fatal collision on Innes Road
The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is seeking witnesses after a serious collision in Orléans on Tuesday left one pedestrian dead and another in critical condition. A vehicle struck the two adult pedestrians on Innes Road between Tenth Line Road and Portebello Drive shortly after 2 p.m., OPS said. Investigators want to speak with anyone who saw the collision or may have dashcam footage of the incident, police said in a followup statement on Wednesday. One of the pedestrians died of their injuries at the scene while the other, a woman, was taken to hospital and is in critical condition, according to the OPS. Video footage taken by Radio-Canada shows debris and a downed pole at the intersection of Innes Road and Orchardview Avenue. Three people from the vehicle were taken to hospital for assessment, the paramedic service added. Anyone with information is asked to contact the OPS's fatal collision investigation unit at 613-236-1222, extension 2345.
