7. Qatar Provides Financial Support to Lebanese Army, Urges Government to Avoid Confrontation with Hezbollah: The Lebanese Army announced that it had received a new financial payment from the State of Qatar, aimed at supporting the military amid Lebanon's ongoing crisis. The statement noted that the funds were delivered based on the directives of Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani but did not disclose the amount. According to information obtained by @ MiddleEast_24, Qatari sources have privately urged Lebanese officials to "avoid pressuring" Hezbollah to hand over its weapons. The same sources hinted that continued financial support – including military aid and development projects – could be at risk if the Lebanese state pursues direct confrontation with the Iran-backed militia. Instead, Doha reportedly insisted that the issue of Hezbollah's weapons be addressed solely through long-term political dialogue, a position seen as favoring the status quo and potentially delaying any disarmament process.
