Brazil's President's Eye-Opening Message To The American People Is Going Super Viral

Brazil's former president Jair Bolsonaro is on trial for allegedly attempting to overturn his 2022 election loss with a coup plot. He faces up to 40 years in prison if convicted. Related: After Bolsonaro lost the election, his supporters stormed Brazil's Congress, Supreme Court, and presidential palace. Sound familiar? It's kind of like Brazil's version of Jan. 6. Related: Sooo, Brazil's Supreme Court has raided Bolsonaro's home, put him on an ankle monitor, and banned him from social media and foreign contacts. Meeeeeanwhile, Trump has been defending Bolsonaro on Truth Social, posting a letter saying, "I'll be watching the WITCH HUNT of Jair Bolsonaro, his family, and thousands of his supporters, very closely. The only Trial that should be happening is a Trial by the Voters of Brazil — It's called an Election. LEAVE BOLSONARO ALONE!" Related: Trump also posted a letter to current Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, threatening to impose a 50% tariff on Brazilian goods and calling the trial of Bolsonaro a "Witch Hunt that should end IMMEDIATELY!" Now that you have the backstory, Brazil's president was interviewed by CNN about all of this, and his message to the American people is going viral: Brazilian president: "I'd like to say something to the American people; If Trump was Brazilian and did what he did at the Capitol, he'd be on trial in Brazil for violating the Constitution. He would be arrested if he had done that." — Ron Smith (@Ronxyz00) July 19, 2025 CNN/Ronxyz00/Twitter: @Ronxyz00 "I want to say something to the American people: If Trump was Brazilian and if he did what happened at Capitol Hill, he'd also be on trial in Brazil. And possibly he would have violated the Constitution. According to the justices, he would also be arrested if he had done that here in Brazil." Related: People in the replies are saying some sort of version of this: "America is not a serious country anymore." This person commented, "We're a joke to the rest of the planet. We're like the parent in the grocery store who will never discipline their child who is screaming and throwing literal shit at other customers." Another person shared this picture: And this person asked, "Can we deport trump to Brazil and put him in trial there instead?" Also in In the News: Also in In the News: Also in In the News:

"It Wears Lingerie Once Unlocked": Elon Musk's Latest AI Project Is Very, Very, Very Weird

Billionaire Elon Musk's artificial intelligence company xAI soft-launched two new AI companions that can interact with users a week after its chatbot Grok went on an antisemitic hate spree on X. Related: It's unclear how far Ani's NSFW mode goes, but a post by the outlet suggests the character puts on lingerie once unlocked. Some users have also posted what appear to be examples of this feature on X. Related: Ani's Monday soft launch came the same day that President Donald Trump's Defense Department awarded xAI a $200 million contract. It was also a week after Grok went on an antisemitic tirade on X, at some points praising Nazi leader Adolf Hitler. While the long-term mental health impact of AI companions has not yet been determined, there have been several reports in the past few years sounding the alarm over how humans and AI companions interact. Related: A study by MIT Media Lab published earlier this year found higher daily usage of AI companions correlated with increased loneliness, dependence, problematic use and lower socialization. Sens. Peter Welch (D-Vt.) and Alex Padilla (D-Calif.) demanded AI companies be more transparent earlier this year after several families claimed AI companions harmed their children. Related: Among the children was 14-year-old Sewell Setzer III, whose mother said in a lawsuit that he was groomed by an AI chatbot who encouraged him to take his own life. "25th Amendment NOW Please": People Cannot Believe Trump's Latest Unhinged Rant, This Time About Gold Paint

President Donald Trump delivered a rambling and disjointed performance at a Cabinet meeting that lasted more than 90 minutes, concluding with a lengthy aside about interior decorating. Trump, during the meeting, said Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) ― who is Jewish ― has 'abandoned the Jews' and 'become a Palestinian,' then compared Schumer to Jon Lovitz's lying Saturday Night Live character Tommy Flanagan, complete with an impression. He described the B-2 bombers that flew to Iran for last month's attack, saying they 'went skedaddle' and then tried to define the word 'skedaddle.' Related: 'Do you know the word skedaddle?' he asked. 'It means skedaddle.' He took great offense at a question about Jeffrey Epstein, a day after his Justice Department concluded that the late sex offender didn't have a long-rumored 'client list.' 'Are you still talking about Jeffrey Epstein?' he asked in disbelief. 'This guy's been talked about for years. You're asking, we have Texas, we have this, we have all of the things, and are people still talking about this guy, this creep?' He called it a 'desecration' to speak about Epstein during a time of 'some of the greatest success and also tragedy with what happened in Texas.' Toward the end, he started to talk decor. 'I'm a frame person,' he declared as he spoke about portraits. 'Sometimes I like frames more than I like the pictures.' He spoke of flags, clocks, lamps, medallions, and more. Then the conversation took a golden turn as Trump spoke at length about the room's moldings and whether they would look better with gold leaf or gold-colored paint. Related: 'If you paint it, it won't look good because they've never found a paint that looks like gold,' he said. 'You see that in the Oval Office. They've tried for years and years. Somebody could become very wealthy, but they've never found a paint that looks like gold. So, painting it is easy, but it won't look right. And the question is whether or not we should gold leaf it.' He asked some of his Cabinet secretaries for their opinions on gold paint versus gold leaf. And on social media, his critics also delivered theirs: Related: Related: This article originally appeared on HuffPost. Also in In the News: Also in In the News: Also in In the News:

Greg Abbott Was Asked Who's To Blame For The Texas Floods, And His Response Is Going Viral For Being "Tone-Deaf" And "Insane"

Central Texas is continuing to deal with the devastating fallout of massive flash floods as deaths continue to mount, and at least 173 people remain missing. Related: Since Friday, the media and citizens across the country have demanded answers as to why there was not a county-wide siren system in place to warn Texans of the flood, which could have potentially saved lives. According to AP News, Kerr County's top elected official said that the county had considered implementing a tornado-like siren for floods years ago. Still, the idea never came to fruition due to costs. "We've looked into it public reeled at the cost," Judge Rob Kelly said. On Fox News, Texas Lt. Governor Dan Patrick also admitted that flood warnings were issued via text for those who "signed up," forcing some residents to warn each other. "There were alert warnings that went out, we believe, by the locals. But if you were a resident and you signed up for it, you got it. But, if you happen to be a stranger who just came in for the Fourth of July weekend, you might not have had that [warning]." Well, Texas Governor Greg Abbott was confronted directly by a reporter who asked him who was to blame for the tragedy, and his comments are going viral: CNN / Twitter: @Acyn Related: "You ask, I'm going to use your words: 'Who's to blame?' Know this. That's the word choice of losers." "Let me explain one thing about Texas. And that is, Texas, every square inch of our state cares about football. You can be in Hunt, Texas, Huntsville, Texas, Houston, Texas, any size community, they care about football. High school Friday night lights, college football, or pro." Related: "Every football team makes mistakes. The losing teams are the ones who try to point out who is to blame. The championship teams are the ones who say, 'Don't worry about it, man, we got this.' We're going to make sure that we go score again and we're gonna win this game. The way winners talk is not to point fingers. They talk about solutions." In response to the clip, people have been ripping into Abbott for his "callousness" during a tragedy. "You don't get to play the 'everyone makes mistakes' card when this was avoidable," another person wrote. "Nothing says strong leadership like using a football analogy to downplay the death of dozens of children," this person wrote. Related: This person pointed out the Texas government's unwillingness to use budget money on a siren alert system. "Calling people losers for wanting answers and making a fucking football analogy when 100+ people are dead and 160+ are missing is insane. Fuck him and his wannabe tr*mp ass," this person wrote. This user called Abbott's analogy "tone-deaf." What are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments below. Also in In the News: Also in In the News: Also in In the News:
