Birmingham man arrested with vacuumed sealed bag of marijuana and handgun during traffic stop
PRICEVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — A Birmingham man was arrested with marijuana and a handgun during a traffic stop on Sunday.
Priceville Police pulled a vehicle over along I-65 near Mile Marker 333 around 7 p.m.
Police identified the driver as Isaiah Jermaine Carlisle, 21, of Birmingham.
While officers spoke to Carlisle, they noticed several indicators that suggested probable cause for a narcotics field investigation to began.
Upon further investigation, officers found a quantity of marijuana in a vacuum-sealed bag, along with a handgun and a 33-round extended magazine inside the vehicle.
Carlisle was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. He was transported to the Morgan County Jail and was issued a $40,000 bond by a Morgan County Circuit Judge.
