Worship Khanna on his acting journey; says ‘I'm still walking on the path, the destination is far'

Actor Worship Khanna, known for his roles in Kumkum Bhagya , Meri Doli Mere Angana, Ishq Subhan Allah, and web series like Hello Jee and Cold Lassi Aur Chicken Masala, is currently seen playing Puran in Pati Brahmachari. In a candid conversation, he opens up about his journey from journalism to acting and how passion and perseverance led him to Mumbai. 'I had already made up my mind during my school days. I started acting when I was just 13 years old,' says Worship, recalling his early love for performance. He pursued Mass Media and Journalism, choosing subjects that aligned with his dream of working in the entertainment industry. 'That course taught me editing, writing, advertising — all of which helped me understand how the industry works,' he shares. Worship landed his first job at a media house at 21 through college placements. But something felt missing. 'I was proud, but I realized my heart wasn't in it,' he admits. 'I used to write scripts, but someone else would read them on screen. When I asked to anchor, I was told only females usually get that chance. That's when I knew this isn't what I wanted.' To pursue his dreams in Mumbai, he had to convince his father. 'I told him I wanted to do my Master's. I said, someday my kids should be proud their dad completed his education. That worked,' he laughs. After moving, he balanced studies with auditions. 'My first break came with CID, and slowly, more roles followed. Every journey teaches something. I'm still walking on the path — the destination is far, but I'm learning at every turn.' On his latest role, Worship says, 'I play Puran — a cheerful tea-seller who faces struggles but stays joyful. Viewers will love the trio of Puran, Monika, and Bluetooth!'

Worship Khanna: The industry will surely change in the next five years

Be it the length of shows, genres, or people's current favourites, everything is destined to change every year, says actor Worship Khanna. The actor, who has been part of shows such as Kumkum Bhagya , Meri Doli Mere Angana, Ishq Subhan Allah and web series like Hello Jee, Cold Lassi and Chicken Masala and currently seen in the show Pati Brahmachari, adds that such changes need to be accepted well, and projects need to be planned accordingly. 'The industry will surely change in the next five years, because the industry we had five years ago is not the same as today, and what we see today won't remain the same tomorrow. For example, during COVID, web series suddenly became very popular, and people started watching content on YouTube and OTT platforms. Now, people have shifted to shorter formats today, people prefer watching vertical videos. People don't have as much time as before. They don't want to watch long daily shows or big films now they want 3-4 minute content on their phones, and they want to skip to the next video quickly. I don't think this is a good thing because with this fast change, cinema's creativity is dying, and the way we tell stories is changing. But I think we have to accept this because life is becoming faster, and technology is advancing so quickly,' he says. Ask him what are the changes he is looking forward to, and he says, 'I believe the real changes are the ones that come naturally with time, like how people moved from daily soaps to web series, and now from web series to vertical content, Instagram shorts, and reels. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch vàng CFDs với sàn môi giới tin cậy IC Markets Tìm hiểu thêm Undo These are the kinds of changes that happen, and I think they should keep happening. At the end of the day, we call it the entertainment industry. It exists to entertain people. So, whatever entertains the audience, we should keep doing that.' Talking about the changes he would want to make to his work pattern, he says, 'I would like to explore YouTube now, especially vertical content. In fact, I have already started trying my hand at it. Whatever good opportunities come my way in the entertainment industry, I will definitely continue acting because apart from that, honestly, I don't think I have any other major talent. But yes, I might also try dancing if I get the right opportunities. I'm definitely open to exploring more new things.' TV celebs on how to stay cool in scorching summer

Exclusive - Worship Khanna talks about his tattoos; says 'Each holds a special place'

Actor Worship Khanna, who has been a part of shows like Kumkum Bhagya , Meri Doli Mere Angana, and Ishq Subhan Allah; web series like Hello Jee and Coldd Lassi Aur Chicken Masala; and will soon be seen in the upcoming show Pati Brahmachari, has three tattoos on his body. While his first ink is dedicated to his nephew, the second to his work, and the third to his mother. Talking about them, he said, 'The first tattoo, Erick Khanna, is on my wrist. It's my nephew's name. His school name is Aduit, but I gave him the home name Erick. My name is in English, and I wanted to give him something that sounded classy and rich, and thus named him Erick. Now he loves this name so much that he even says, 'Change my school name to Erick!' I love him a lot, and I'm very emotionally attached to him. That's why I got his name tattooed on my wrist, a place close to my heart. ' 'The second tattoo is on my back. This tattoo has a deep meaning too. It shows wings going towards the sky. In the center, there's a big red star, and around it, it says, 'My Work is Worship.' This is something I believe in. The star in the middle represents my dream—to become a star. The wings show that I want to fly high and touch the sky. There are also small glitter-like stars spread around it, which for me represent the celebration we feel when we win an award like an Oscar. It's like a burst of joy, a moment of success. One day, I want to shine bright and receive a big award. That's what this tattoo reminds me of,' he added. His third tattoo is on his chest, and he said it is very close to his heart. He said, 'It says 'Matru Devo Bhava,' which means 'Mother is God. I believe that in this world, before anything else, a mother comes first. I got this tattoo done as a gift for my mother on Mother's Day.' Worship confessed that though tattoos are painful, it didn't matter to him as he dedicated them to those he loves deeply. Talking about the tattoo dedicated to his mother, he added, 'I wanted to see that happiness on my mother's face, and I did. That joy made me forget all the pain of the tattoo process.' Many people do not prefer god/goddess tattoos on their bodies, but Worship doesn't have a problem with it, as he feels that the body is a gift from God. He said, 'Some people like to get pictures of gods inked on their bodies, and some don't. For me, our body is a temple. It is a gift from God, our parents, and nature. We must take care of it and treat it with respect. I personally believe God should live inside our hearts, not just on our skin. Everyone has their own way of thinking, and that's okay.' Any plans to get tattoos in the future? 'I don't have any plans for a new tattoo. But tattoos are very personal. They come from sudden thoughts and deep feelings. Maybe I won't get a new tattoo in the next few years, or maybe I'll get one tomorrow. Who knows? But I do have an idea for my next tattoo,' he said. 'I want it to be something grounded and rooted, yet full of dreams. I'm thinking of getting a bicycle with wings. It will mean that even though I stay grounded, I dream of flying high. I haven't finalized the design yet, but once I find the perfect one, I'll definitely get it done,' Worship ended. Eisha Singh's step-by-step makeup tutorial is perfect for natural look

Indian television actress Eisha Singh recently gave fans a glimpse into her everyday beauty routine in a Get Ready With Me (GRWM) session with Pinkvilla. Known for her roles in shows like Ishq Ka Rang Safed, Ishq Subhan Allah, and Sirf Tum, Eisha has become a familiar face on Indian television. She was also a part of Bigg Boss 18, where she ended her journey in 6th place. In the session, Eisha opened up about her personal makeup hacks, skincare steps, and the small things she swears by when getting ready for the day. 'No Rules' Is Her Only Rule Before she began applying makeup, Eisha made it clear that she doesn't follow any hard rules. She believes it's a result of years of learning from professionals, combined with trial and error on her own. 'Now I know what works for me and what doesn't,' she said. She added that she's become confident in doing her own makeup, and that shows throughout the video. For this GRWM session, she was preparing for an interview, so she went for a light, fresh, and simple look, perfect for everyday wear. Step 1: Skincare First Eisha started by prepping her face. She dipped her face into a bowl of ice water—a popular trick used by celebrities to reduce puffiness and tighten pores. She said this helps wake up her skin and gives her face a clean base to work on. She shared that her skin had been in great shape during her time inside the Bigg Boss house, mainly because it was pollution-free. But once she came back to her regular routine, she noticed the effects of city life on her skin. Now, she's making an effort to care for it again. Step 2: Hydration and Sun Protection With dry skin being a concern, Eisha uses Akosma's face hydrating serum—three pumps of it, as advised by her dermatologist. Next comes the True Derma sunscreen, followed by Cetaphil's face moisturizer. This trio ensures her skin is well-hydrated and protected before makeup. Step 3: A Natural Base She applies the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in the shade Light 2.2 under her eyes and on spots that need coverage. Then, she goes in with the Make Up For Ever Stick Foundation, blending it either with her hands or a sponge. To help her base set well, she sprays some M.A.C. Fix+ setting spray. She says this helps melt the makeup into her skin and makes it last longer. Watch the full video here: Step 4: Brows and Eyes Eisha starts her eye makeup after the base is complete. She fills in her brows using the Benefit Gimme Brow Gel, giving them a fuller yet natural look. For the eyeshadow, she picks shades from the Huda Beauty Nude palette, mixing matte tones with a bit of glitter to keep it soft and elegant. 'Wear your makeup with confidence,' she advises viewers, reminding them not to be afraid of trying new shades. She lines her eyes with Sugar's eyeliner pen, a product she seems to enjoy for its precision. Then she curls her lashes and applies Smashbox SuperFan mascara to lift them. To add even more volume and length, she layers on Maybelline's Sky High mascara. Step 5: Blush and Contour When it comes to blush, Eisha loves a natural flush. She uses Rare Beauty's liquid blushes in the shades Joy and Happy. Using a brush, she gently taps the product into her cheeks. 'It gives a natural, dewy look,' she says. She admits she should have blended her concealer better before applying blush, but that's what makes the video so real and relatable. For contour, she uses Sugar's contour kit to add some definition to her face. Step 6: Lips and Final Touch Eisha keeps her lips simple yet polished. She first moisturizes them with Vaseline Lip Therapy—Rosy Lips, then applies a lip liner and follows it up with M.A.C.'s Brickthrough lipstick. To finish the look, she dabs on M.A.C. Studio Fix Compact in shade NC 35, which sets the makeup and removes any unwanted shine. The Final Word: Water and Rest Are Key Before wrapping up, Eisha Singh gives an important reminder: drink enough water and get proper sleep. These, according to her, are the real secrets to good skin. Makeup can enhance features, but healthy skin is the real foundation. Throughout the session, Eisha shares small glimpses of her life, like how she often roams around her house while doing makeup. Her laid-back yet knowledgeable approach makes her tutorial not just helpful but also very real. She encourages beginners to try things out, experiment, and see what makes them feel good.
