Rohit Saraf In an industry often obsessed with image and labels, Rohit Saraf has taken a quieter route, allowing the depth of his characters and the sincerity of his performances to do the talking. Whether it was the earnest charm in Dear Zindagi, the emotional weight in The Sky Is Pink, or the effortless relatability of Rishi in Netflix's Mismatched, Rohit has consistently believed in leaning in rather than showing it off. 2024 marked a pivotal shift with Ishq Vishk Rebound, where Saraf stepped into his first lead in a theatrical film. And now in 2025, he's expanding his horizons once again, this time in Karan Johar's upcoming Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, an ensemble film that signals his arrival in a big commercial movie. But while others in his shoes might be fixated on picking sides—OTT or theatrical—Rohit is more focused on the story than the spotlight. 'I've been very lucky. OTT gave me connection and recognition, and films are now giving me new challenges and a wider canvas,' he reflects. 'But honestly, I don't see it as one versus the other. For me, it's always about stories that move people, no matter where they live,' says Rohit without any trace of having an urge to be the next big thing, but steady climb toward roles that resonate and leave an emotional mark.

Sonu Nigam turns ‘chocolate boy' with new hairstyle, sparks 90s nostalgia; fans say ‘looking 20 years younger'
Playback singer Sonu Nigam, who has been winning hearts for decades with his voice and timeless melodies, recently surprised fans by unveiling a striking new look. The singer got rid of his long, curly hair and opted for a cleaner, shorter hairstyle — a transformation that has left fans both stunned and nostalgic. The video showed the singer wearing a white and red vest and lip-syncing to his song Ishq Vishk Pyaar Vyaar from the film Ishq Vishk Rebound. It then cuts to Sonu flaunting his new short hairstyle, wearing sunglasses to add to the charm. A post shared by Aalim Hakim (@aalimhakim) Singer Shaan also appeared awestruck by Sonu's look. He wrote, "Bhai is looking like his Betaa .. like a 20 something." Sonu's wife, Madhurima, commented, "Thank you @aalimhakim bhai for turning him into the chocolate boy." Fans were quick to flood the comments section, with one writing, "Finallyyyy yayyyy. Looking 20 years younger!" Another added, "Hair is Hairing, Glam ain't Sleeping, Sonu Nigam ain't Ageing." Meanwhile, Sonu recently grabbed headlines after his Bengaluru concert on 22 April, when a video of him allegedly refusing to sing in Kannada and comparing it to the Pahalgam attack surfaced, sparking controversy. He later issued a clarification and an apology. However, on May 3, an FIR was registered against him under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code, including Section 351(2) (criminal intimidation), Section 352(1) (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace), and Section 353 (incitement to public mischief), as per ANI. The case was filed following a complaint by Dharmaraj A, the President of the Bengaluru Urban District Unit of the pro-Kannada group Karnataka Rakshana Vedike. On May 15, the Karnataka High Court directed the police not to take any "coercive action" against the playback singer until the next hearing.

The movie will star Kamal Haasan in the lead role, followed by an ensemble cast. While Saraf has a small part in the gangster action film, it left a significant impact on the actor, which he revealed on the eminent director's birthday. As Mani Ratnam turned 69 on June 2, Rohit Saraf shared a heartfelt post for the filmmaker on Instagram. The opening frame featured the actor holding what seemed like a script in his hand while the director was seen taking a closer look at the same piece of paper. The two of them seem deeply focused on the script. The following frames included several BTS moments from the Thug Life set as well as some surreal images of the shooting location. The post concluded with a ticket for the upcoming movie, hinting at the actor's humble request to his fans to review his completely different avatar on-screen. Sharing the photos, Saraf talked about his dream-come-true moment when he got the opportunity to work with the ace director. 'Happy Birthday Mani Ratnam sir! It's not every day that you get an opportunity to be part of a legacy as rich as yours. It's an absolute honor and a dream to have had the fortune to stand in your frames, to be directed by you, and to be a small part of your story," he wrote.
