Anwar said the meeting provided an opportunity for dialogue and the exchange of views on efforts to strengthen the development of the ummah, including addressing Islamophobia with wisdom and prudence. "I also stressed Malaysia's commitment to upholding Islam based on the values of moderation, tolerance, and harmony through education, dakwah, and international cooperation with the Muslim community in Italy," he said after the meeting. As a gesture of goodwill, Anwar also contributed aid to the Muslim community in Rome and presented a special edition copy of the Quran, along with 10 Italian-translated copies.
