Island Harvest Food Bank empowers students with job skills and self-reliance
MELVILLE, Long Island (PIX11) — It was graduation day at the Island Harvest Food Bank for 8 students who completed a unique 10-week program that taught them job skills and warehousing, and inventory control. The institute's mission is to empower people to transition from uncertainty to stability and become self-reliant. Photojournalist Keith Lopez brings us the story from Melville.
