Eilat Port to Close as of July 20 Due to Financial Crisis

A letter issued by the National Emergency Authority stated that the closure decision stems from the Eilat Municipality imposing a lien on the port's bank accounts due to accumulated debts, hindering the port's ability to continue operating. The authority emphasized that this step threatens to halt logistical support for the Israeli Navy in the Red Sea region, warning of potential security repercussions.
