Rupali Ganguly slams Diljit Dosanjh amid Border 2 replacement buzz; says 'No room for confused loyalties'

Anupamaa actress Rupali Ganguly , who never shies away from speaking her mind and has always been vocal about social and national issues, has slammed Diljit Dosanjh amidst the Border 2 row. Earlier, during the day, various reports mentioned that Diljit was dropped from Border 2 over the Sardaarji 3 controversy. While there has been no official confirmation regarding the news, TV actress Rupali Ganguly has now slammed Diljit over Pakistani actress Hania Aamir being part of his film. Reacting to the news reports of Diljit being dropped from Border 2, Rupali Ganguly supported the decision and wrote, "Border was a film that evoked deep patriotism among the people of our nation. It's truly disheartening and frustrating to see an actor in #Border2 who fails to recognize his responsibilities towards the country. Kudos to the makers for showing clarity and conviction by dropping that actor from the film. A film that celebrates our soldiers and national pride must reflect that spirit in every aspect. No room for confused loyalties in a film about national pride. JAI HIND." Many fans shared their views on the on-going controversy. A user wrote, "Yes. Any involvement of an anti-national element wouldn't just spoil the new film; it will also destroy the legacy of the first film." by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 안구건조 걱정 없이 안전하게! 강남아이원스안과 지금 신청하기 Undo Another fan commented, "That's so true. Amid the heated debate over the inclusion of Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in Sardaar Ji 3, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has addressed a letter to the team behind Border 2. They requested producer Bhushan Kumar to rethink casting Diljit Dosanjh and give importance to national emotions. "After 41 years, India is returning to space": Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla ahead of Axiom 4 mission launch

Florida [US], June 25 (ANI): Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, who is set to pilot the Axiom 4 mission, has said that India is returning to space after 41 years. He stated that India's flag will fly in space again. In a post on X, Shukla stated, 'INDIA IS RETURNING TO SPACE, JAI HIND' He also mentioned that the Axiom-4 crew is ready for launch as Dragon's hatch is closed, all communication and suit checks are complete, the seats are rotated, and the Ax-4 crew is ready for launch! 'After 41 years, India's flag will fly in space again. Jai Hind,' Shubhanshu Shukla posted on X. Joining the mission are Slawosz Uznanski of Poland, a European Space Agency (ESA) project astronaut, and Tibor Kapu of Hungary. Uznanski will be Poland's second astronaut since 1978, while Kapu will be Hungary's second since 1980. Veteran American astronaut Peggy Whitson will command the mission, adding to her record for the longest cumulative time spent in space by any American. For Group Captain Shukla, this will be an opportunity to emulate fellow Indian Air Force Officer Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma, who flew aboard Soyuz T-11 on 3 April 1984 as part of the Soviet Interkosmos programme. Sharma spent seven days in space on board the Salyut 7 space station. At the space station, Rakesh Sharma conducted experiments, such as understanding yoga's effects on the human body in weightlessness and taking photographs of India from outer space. When PM Indira Gandhi asked him how India looked from space, he replied, 'Saare Jahan Se Achha', a phrase that has become an iconic milestone in India's Space Odyssey. NASA, Axiom Space, and SpaceX are targeting 2:31 am EDT, Wednesday (Noon IST), June 25, for launch of the fourth private astronaut mission to the International Space Station, Axiom 4. The mission will lift off from Launch Complex 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Centre in Florida. The crew will travel to the orbiting laboratory on a new SpaceX Dragon spacecraft after launching on the company's Falcon 9 rocket. The targeted docking time is approximately 7 am on Thursday, June 26. NASA had earlier stood down from a proposed launch date of June 22. According to the ISS, additional time is needed to evaluate station operations following recent repair work in the aft segment of the Zvezda service module. Due to the highly interconnected nature of the orbital laboratory's systems, NASA is reviewing relevant data to ensure readiness for the arrival of additional crew members. Highlighting the mission's global significance, ISS noted that the agencies 'appreciate the historic nature of this mission for the nations of India, Poland, and Hungary, as well as the world.' The four-member crew remains in quarantine in Florida and is prepared to launch once the station is cleared to receive them. Axiom Mission 4 will be commanded by Peggy Whitson, a former NASA astronaut and now Axiom Space's Director of Human Spaceflight. Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla from ISRO will serve as the mission's pilot. The mission specialists are ESA project astronaut Slawosz Uznanski-Wisniewski from Poland and Tibor Kapu from Hungary. SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket and Dragon spacecraft remain healthy on the launch pad at Launch Complex 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Centre in Florida. According to Axiom Space, the Ax-4 mission will 'realise the return' to human spaceflight for India, Poland, and Hungary, marking each nation's first government-sponsored flight in more than 40 years. While this is the second human spaceflight mission in history for these countries, it will be the first time all three will execute a mission aboard the International Space Station. This historic mission highlights how Axiom Space is redefining access to low-Earth orbit and elevating national space programs globally. Axiom-4 will be the second commercial spaceflight mission made up of government and ESA-sponsored national astronauts. The Ax-4 mission stands as a beacon of opportunity for India, Poland, and Hungary, each poised to leverage this mission to advance their national space programs. The Ax-4 research complement includes around 60 scientific studies and activities representing 31 countries, including the US, India, Poland, Hungary, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Nigeria, UAE, and nations across Europe. This will be the most research and science-related activities conducted on an Axiom Space mission aboard the International Space Station to date, underscoring the mission's global significance and collaborative nature to advance microgravity research in low-Earth orbit (LEO), per Axiom Space. The mission emphasises scientific portfolios led by the US, India, Poland (in partnership with ESA), and Hungary. It aims to boost participation in these countries by involving diverse stakeholders, showcasing the value of microgravity research, and fostering international collaboration. The studies will enhance global knowledge in human research, Earth observation, and life, biological, and material sciences, demonstrating the space research capabilities of the crew's home nations. DU launches JAIHIND scheme to upskill ST students from across country

Delhi University has launched an initiative to impart basic computer skills and training for higher education, including the application process for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET), to Scheduled Tribes (ST) students from Classes 9 to 12 across India, particularly those living in remote parts. The Janajati Immersive Holistic Intervention for Novel Development (JAIHIND) scheme's first batch of 25 students, including 12 girls and 13 boys from the Ukhrul district of Manipur, selected on the basis of their academic merit, started their training on Tuesday. The inaugural two-week programme will continue till June 29, said Vice-Chancellor Yogesh Singh. Since CUET was mandated for undergraduate admissions to Central universities in 2022, the academic community has been raising concerns that the computer-based test and form-filling process may hinder the higher education prospects of students from marginalised communities. In 2023, University Grants Commission (UGC) data revealed that only 50.5% of the ST candidates who had registered for the exam appeared for it, raising concerns about accessibility. In the following year, the UGC did not release category-wise data. Professor K. Ratnabali, Dean, Academic Affairs, told The Hindu that the cost of accommodation and travel is being borne by the university. 'We are planning on making it an annual programme, where students from the ST communities across the country will be trained in various skills. We are also planning to send our teachers to remote areas,' she said. She added, 'We decided to include a CUET orientation and computer training because sometimes, students who do not have computers at home log in from cybercafes, losing out on important communication from the university regarding admissions. We are preparing them on filling the forms as these students will soon be applying to colleges.' During the launch of the scheme on Tuesday, the Vice-Chancellor said that detailed information on CUET will be given to students for 'better access to higher education'.
