Young area entrepreneurs to gain experience at Market Day
NILES, Ohio (WKBN) — Young area entrepreneurs will have the chance to get some experience while showcasing what they're made of at the Eastwood Mall this weekend.
Junior Achievement of Eastern Ohio has partnered with Eastwood Mall and The Cafaro Foundation to host Youth Market Day in the Center Court of Eastwood Mall from noon until 3 p.m. this Saturday.
Young entrepreneurs from the area have the opportunity to promote their businesses and sell their products in a public space, gaining real-world experience in customer service, making change, marketing, and managing inventory.
Nine vendors who have completed the JA Start My Business Workshop are expected to participate.
During our Youth Market Day, participants are judged on several criteria by local business professionals and compete for Best in Show (Overall), Best Customer Service, and Most Innovative Product. The awards portion will begin at 2:30 p.m.
