Travis Scott's Cactus Jack Is Back & Bolder in 'JACKBOYS 2'
The long-awaited sequel toTravis Scott's 2019Cactus Jackcompilation,JACKBOYS 2has arrived. Announced on Instagram on Thursday, Scott posted the album artwork and loudly shared, 'JB2 OUT EVERYWHERE 7/13 SPEAKERS AND SCREAMS AT MAX VOLUME.' Narrated by Houston rapperBun Bthroughout, the tracklist is sprinkled with familiar releases like '2000 Excursion,' released last week, and 'ILMB' withSheck Wes. Along with tying in the usual crew members likeDon Toliverand Sheck, Travis enlisted features and adlibs byNBA YoungBoy,Future,Playboi Carti,GloRilla,Tyla,Vybz Kartel,21 Savage,Kodak Black,SahBabiiandWaka Flocka Flame. The 17-track project packs a bigger punch than its 7-track predecessor from 2019, which included 'GATTI,' 'HIGHEST IN THE ROOM,' and 'OUT WEST.' And Travis wastes no time hitting back atPusha T's recent diss onCLIPSEtrack 'So Be It,' seemingly offering a response on the second track, cheekily named 'CHAMPAIN & VACAY.' 'Made a 100 off pushin' T, mow my phone on DND,' Travis boasts on the track with Don Toliver. Along with the album release, Travis has also unveiled new JACKBOYS 2 merch, including co-branded short and long-sleeved tees with artist lists and ski mask graphics. Travis Scott Unveils 'JACKBOYS 2' Merch
Summary Travis Scotthas dropped off new merch in anticipation ofJACKBOYS 2. The release is led by a cut and sew cotton jersey created in collaboration withFox Racing. Offered in gray and black, the jersey features co-branding details on the front and sleeves, while the back highlights aJACKBOYS IIinsignia. The collection also features a range of brown, black and white short and long-sleeved T-shirts withJACKBOYSlogos, a list of the artists who appear on the record and a graphic of the iconic neon green ski mask. Rounding out the merch is a black and blue 'JB 2' cap with airbushed details on the brim. Each piece is offered as a pack, complete with collectible boxes and CDs with varying cover art. Travis Scott Raises ‘JACKBOYS 2' Hype With ‘2000 Excursion' Single Feat. Don Toliver & Sheck Wes
The JACKBOYS 2 rollout is in motion. Travis Scott kicked off JB2 with the release of a cinematic visual for the compilation project's first single '2000 Excursion' (previously titled 'B&B') on Tuesday (July 8), which is currently only available on YouTube as of press time. La Flame reunites with a pair of his Cactus Jack running mates for the Cardo-produced banger, which features a sample of Ye's 'Power' and appearances from Sheck Wes and Don Toliver. The second part of the woozy bar could be a reference to a strip club-fueled night out or La Flame invading The Weeknd and Playboi Carti's After Hours Til Dawn Tour stop in Los Angeles. As for the colorful visual, Scott and the crew head down to Texas while burning rubber and spinning out in exotic sports cars and supercharged Ford trucks. They even hit an F1 race to take in some professional action. This is only a taste of what's to come with JB2. Scott has been sending out custom JACKBOYS Lamborghinis to artists' driveways who are slated to appear on the album. The list includes GloRilla, Tyla, Vybz Kartel, 21 Savage, Kodak Black, SahBabii and Waka Flocka Flame. Travis Scott has also released a limited-edition JACKBOYS 2 merchandise collection, along with various CD and vinyl bundles featuring alternate covers for the project. According to the Cactus Jack honcho's website, JB2 will boast seven tracks and is slated to arrive later in July. Gear up, and watch the '2000 Excursion' video below.
