It is a beloved place to meet friends, but some punters have been asking if Wetherspoons will stay open over the Early May Bank Holiday.

Wetherspoons is always popular with Brits, but its pubs become even busier over bank holiday weekends.
The chain of pubs extended its hours over the New Year period to allow its fans to ring in 2025 in their favourite place to drink.
It even offered a full lunch on Christmas Day when nearly every other restaurant closed.
The Early May Bank Holiday in 2025 is no exception for Wetherspoons — all of its pubs will remain open, unlike many other food and drink establishments.
However, some branches may operate different hours, so ask a member of staff about your local pub's opening times.
Wetherspoons was first opened in 1979 in London by Tim Martin.
It takes its name from a JD Hogg, a character in The Dukes of Hazzard, and one of Tim's teachers in New Zealand.
