Minister asks officials to complete projects by July 31
Patna: Urban development and housing minister, Jibesh Kumar, on Tuesday reviewed the schemes under Namami Gange and ongoing projects under the Smart City Mission in Patna, Biharsharif, Muzaffarpur, and Bhagalpur.
He found that nearly all projects were nearing completion and asked the officials to complete the remaining projects by July 31.
The minister directed the officials concerned to work on a revenue model around the JP Ganga Path to generate income. Officials informed him that the construction of prefabricated shops and other facilities under the 'Riverfront development along the Ganga' project would be completed within two months.
Jibesh instructed the officials to carry out beautification work under the redevelopment of the Maurya Lok complex project and to construct modern deluxe toilets for public convenience. He expressed satisfaction over the progress of projects in all smart cities and instructed that funds be released to contractors in a timely manner so they could complete the remaining work on schedule.
