'Karl's got guns!': Social media goes wild for Karl Stefanovic's muscular arms as Today star, 50, shares stunning workout video after weight loss
Karl Stefanovic has showed off his impressively ripped physique in a hilarious new video at the gym following a major body transformation. The Today host, 50, has been open about his weight loss journey after once tipping the scales at 105kg back in 2020. Stefanovic later told The Kyle and Jackie O Show that unflattering paparazzi photos taken at his heaviest prompted some stern advice from his billionaire pal James Packer. "James Packer sends me a note that says: 'mate, you need to get your a**e to the gym'," Stefanovic said. On Friday, Stefanovic shared a comedic video to Instagram which showed him working out with friend Peter Oreb while his personal trainer Mark Glanville danced in the background. The veteran Channel 9 star and father of four performed a series of gruelling push-up exercises in the clip as his biceps noticeably rippled beneath a tight orange tank top. 'There's something not quite right about my trainer,' Stefanovic captioned the video, which featured the song 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody' by Whitney Houston. Fans of the Today host flooded the comment section to praise his new rock hard physique. 'Brah when did Karlos get muscles,' one fan wrote. 'Karl got guns,' another supporter said. 'You got a licence for those firearms?!' 'Whatever he's doing it's working,' another fan agreed. Meanwhile, Stefanovic's sister-in-law Jade Yarbrough raised her concerns that Stefanovic was working out in the gym shoe-less. 'More concerned about you not wearing shoes in the gym again,' she wrote. The video was quickly picked up by Today producers, who used the video of their star presenter's workout for a segment about 'Dad Bods'. Stefanovic's body transformation comes months after reports the Today star is currently vying to replace Rodger Corser as the host of top-rating gameshow The Floor. The quiz show, which sees contestants challenge each other in head-to-head trivia duels, has proven ratings gold for Nine in the 7.30pm time slot ever since it premiered in April.

Kyle and Jackie O show not for everyone, says KIIS FM owner
The CEO of KIIS FM's parent company ARN, which broadcasts the controversial radio duo Kyle Sandilands and Jackie 'O' Henderson, says while their content 'won't be for everyone', the duo can make up for its slow start to life in Melbourne. The Kyle and Jackie O Show made an underwhelming entry into the Melbourne breakfast radio market last year, and is still trailing its commercial competitors in the city. ARN chief executive Ciaran Davis said on Thursday the poor performance of the show was 'rightly a topic of investor interest', given how much money the company has spent on it. But he added that ARN always knew the duo would need time to break into the Melbourne market. 'This was never meant to be an overnight success, but they are great talent and we believe in the strategic, long-term investment,' Davis said. ARN made one of the biggest bets in Australian media history, re-signing the hosts of The Kyle and Jackie O Show to a 10-year radio deal worth $200 million in 2023. With Sandilands and Henderson paid $10 million annually, the company has reaped little from its blockbuster investment, and ARN chairman Hamish McLennan told investors at the company's annual general meeting on Thursday that the company was ready to make the tough calls until its bet on The Kyle and Jackie O Show pays off. 'We've let over 200 people go in the last six months. That is massive for a business in our size,' he said. ARN's decision to offshore some functions and reduce its head count even more, as reported by this masthead last week, aimed at delivering a cash cost out of $40 million, or around 20 per cent of its entire cost base, McLennan said.

Tim Davies doesn't look like this anymore! Today show weatherman shocks as he unveils dramatic transformation
Today show weatherman Tim Davies had viewers doing a double take on Tuesday morning. The veteran presenter, 41, ditched his clean-cut look in favour of grey hair and a sizeable beard. Tim explained to co-hosts Karl Stefanovic and Sarah Abo that his transformation took place at the Melbourne Comedy Theatre, where a makeup artist styled him to resemble a famous character. 'I've ventured to Middle Earth, better known as the bowels of the Comedy Theatre in Melbourne. I'm with Head of Makeup for Lord of the Rings: A Musical Tale,' Tim began. He humorously recounted the experience of being transformed into various iconic figures, before settling on Gandalf. 'This morning, she has provided me with a bit of a make-under. I've had Kenny Rogers and Lucius Malfoy. We were going for Gandalf!' Tim said. Tim praised the makeup artist as a 'wizard' for her skillful portrayal, which left him looking nearly unrecognisable as Ian McKellen's iconic character from the Peter Jackson films. With his unkempt hair and bushy beard, Tim looked world's away from the stylish weatherman he is known as. However, the long-time presenter still had his trademark cheeky grin. Before finding fame on Today, the weatherman worked in radio as the news presenter for The Kyle and Jackie O Show. According to his Nine bio, Tim was employed by Austereo for about 12 months back in 2013, and even posted about his departure on Instagram in November that year. Tim started his media career working as a Sydney traffic reporter at Nova 96.9. Ironically, Tim got his start in television working for the Today show's main rival, Channel Seven's Sunrise, in 2009. He also worked for Weekend Sunrise and The Morning Show, before leaving the network in 2013. Tim then joined Channel Nine in 2014, working as a reporter for Nine News and presenter for Nine News Early Edition. He was the occasional fill-in host for Today Extra and Weekend Today, before joining the Today show on a full-time basis in 2020. 'Thrilled to be joining the new look @thetodayshow team in 2020,' he announced on Instagram at the time. 'After 5+ years with @9news it'll be hard to hand over my little blue microphone cube & leave an incredible newsroom. 'I've been so lucky to tell remarkable stories, meet fascinating people, travel to places I've never been & call myself a colleague of some seriously talented journalists, producers, camera & sound operators, editors, graphic artists & control room crews.
