Freddy Brazier, 20, reveals he missed flight to Ibiza after getting PUNCHED and handed a fine on his way to the airport for impromptu trip - following U-turn on rehab decision
Freddy Brazier has revealed he had booked an impromptu trip to Ibiza on Instagram on Tuesday but while travelling to the airport, it went horribly wrong. Documenting his journey to Stansted Airport as he travelled by train, things took a turn for the worse as the 20-year-old seemed to get into an altercation. Just three hours after booking the flight, Freddy shared a photo of himself with his large yellow suitcase and designer backpack making his way to the airport. However, in a follow up snap, he revealed he missed his flight due to 'getting punched' and was handed a 'fine on the train'. Freddy penned: 'Missed my flight got punched and got a fine on the train what a s*** day.' The star, who is the second son of late reality star Jade Goody and TV presenter Jeff Brazier, also shared a selfie of what appeared to be a swollen eye. It comes just three weeks after he announced he was going to rehab in Marbella, admitting he 'wanted a healthy relationship with his dad' following a family fallout. The model told fans at the time that he had been addicted to 'smoking' from the age of 12 and would be heading for treatment soon. Although, in a shock U-turn, Freddy changed his mind, explaining that he 'doesn't need rehab' and instead just 'needs a boys' holiday or a retreat'. Freddy is the youngest son of Jeff Brazier and the late Jade Goody, who also share an older son Bobby, 22. Jade died from cervical cancer in 2009, when Freddy was just four years old, and he has since been raised by his dad Jeff. Freddy and his maternal grandmother Jackiey Budden were spotted smoking suspicious cigarettes after their recent reconciliation, despite his dad's legal war to block contact. He was seen puffing with his gran, 68, in front of tourists near Tower Bridge in South London, after Mail On Sunday revealed Freddy had been living with his maternal grandmother for a week. Jackiey and Jeff have clashed multiple times over the years, and it was revealed last month that the TV star is taking action in an attempt to legally block contact between his son and his grandmother 'to keep him safe'. Freddy also reportedly skipped his brother Bobby's birthday bash amid his feud with father Jeff over his relationship with grandmother Jackiey. EastEnders star Bobby turned 22 on June 2, and while other loved ones including his father and step-mum Kate were present, his sibling was noticeably absent. Despite Freddy acknowledging the birthday online, it is said that there was 'sadness' felt by the family that Freddy wasn't there to celebrate in person. A source told The Sun: 'It was a really nice family occasion but everyone really missed Freddy. 'He was of course invited but he is making his feelings quite clear at the moment about who he wants to be spending time with.' 'He did acknowledge that Bobby's birthday online but there was some sadness that he wasn't there with his brother,' they added.

BOBBY Brazier has 'become a Hare Krishna' and is 'seeking solace' in daily spiritual rituals following the death of his mum, Jade Goody. Strictly finalist Bobby, 22, has become a regular at the Hare Krishna temple in Soho, where he takes part in communal prayers, chants mantras and helps prepare meals. 5 5 Friends say Bobby's interest in spirituality has grown over the past year and is helping him process the lasting impact of losing his mum to cervical cancer in 2009, when he was just five. A volunteer at the temple told MailOnline: 'He's here every Saturday without fail. He joins our kitchen session, learns the prayers – this isn't a gimmick.' A family friend added: 'Bobby had a difficult life. His mum dying left a mark on him, as it would. Hare Krishna is somewhere he seeks solace. It might seem strange, but for him, it works.' Last year, The Sun published images of Bobby joining in cha-cha-chanting at a Hare Krishna gathering on Oxford Street, where he was even seen handing out leaflets. Bobby - whose dad is TV star Jeff Brazier - said of the movement: 'I've had the blessing of meeting some incredible devotees who have really taken me under the wing and been really merciful upon me. "And they are just the most beautiful, happy, content, smart, intelligent people.' After Jade's death, Bobby and younger brother Freddy, 20, were raised away from the spotlight. At 16, Bobby was scouted by a modelling agent during a trip to a local coffee shop and quickly signed to a major agency. He later walked the runway for Dolce & Gabbana and Tommy Hilfiger and joined EastEnders as Freddie Slater. In 2023, he won the National Television Award for Rising Star and finished as a finalist on Strictly the same year. An EastEnders spokeswoman said: 'We can confirm that Bobby Brazier will be leaving EastEnders, and we wish him all the best for the future.' A telly insider revealed: 'Bosses had a meeting with Bobby only recently as they had a plan in mind for a storyline, and it just so happened that Bobby was also thinking that now was the right time to look for other opportunities outside the show. 'The timing of the decision worked for both, but his final scenes are not for a while yet. Major change to smear tests as women 'spared appointments they don't need'
Cervical cancer screenings will be less common for women aged 25 to 49 if they are shown to be low risk - low risk individuals will be able to wait five years between smear tests A major change to cervical cancer screening will mean younger women can have the smear test less often. Women aged 25 to 49 will no longer have to be tested every three years if their previous test shows no signs of the human papillomavirus (HPV), which is linked to cervical cancer. These women deemed at low risk will be able to wait five years between smear tests after the Joint Commission on Vaccination and Immunisation advised that this is safe. The change will come into force from next month. Dr Sue Mann, NHS national clinical director for women's health, said: 'Taking a more personalised approach to cervical screening will help ensure everyone eligible can make the most of these life-saving services, while sparing women appointments that they don't need.' Two people a day still die from cervical cancer in the UK and the disease claimed the life of Celebrity Big brother star Jade Goody in 2009. The move follows a recommendation by the UK National Screening Committee the five-year interval brings younger women into line with the approach already used for women aged 50 to 64 in England. Michelle Mitchell, chief executive of Cancer Research UK, said: "We welcome this change to cervical screening in England, which is the result of years of vital research to make screening more effective and has shown it is safe to extend the time between tests. Screening, alongside the roll out of the HPV vaccine have seen cervical cancer rates drop by around a quarter since the early 1990s, and we look forward to even more progress. "Beating cervical cancer means beating it for all, and we're committed to a future where almost no one develops this disease. If you notice any unusual changes for you, do not wait for a screening invitation - speak to your doctor." Currently cervical screening involves a medical professional inserting a soft brush to take a sample of cells from the cervix. In recent years cervical cancer rates have dropped for women in their 20s who received the HPV vaccine, but have increased for women aged 30 to 44. NHS England data shows that during 2023/24 only 68.8% of 25 to 64-year-olds were screened within the recommended period of time, compared to 68.7% the previous year. Embarrassment is thought to be a major reason uptake of screening is not higher and rates have fallen in recent years. The NHS has this week rolled-out digital invitations and reminders for cervical screening via the NHS App, as part of a new 'ping and book' service. Eligible women will first receive a notification through the app to alert them to book a screening appointment, followed by a text message if the app notification isn't opened. Letters will remain in place for those who need them. Dr Mann added: 'The NHS is following robust evidence on how often women need to be safely screened and by putting invitations and reminders straight in women's pockets on their phones, we're making it easier than ever to take up screening appointments.' Currently all women aged 25 to 64 are invited by letter to cervical screening to check the health of their cervix. It is not a test for cancer but looks for abnormal cells to help prevent cancer. A small sample of cells is taken from the cervix and checked for certain types of human papillomavirus (HPV) that can cause changes to the cells of your cervix. These are called "high risk" types of HPV. If these types of HPV are found, the sample is checked for any changes in the cells of your cervix. These can be treated before they get a chance to turn into cervical cancer. Cervical cancer causes 685 deaths a year in England. The move to five-year intervals for younger women brings England into line with Scotland and Wales. Louise Ansari, chief executive of Healthwatch England, said: "We welcome this change, which confirms that most women will not need to attend screening so frequently. 'Healthwatch research last year showed many women can find it an uncomfortable experience, and sometimes difficult to schedule in around their busy lives. Reducing the number of times they need to attend, alongside sensitive and empathetic approaches by health professionals, will make these important appointments easier to manage.' Women due for screening will still be invited at the interval in which they were advised of at the time of their last test. Only those who attend cervical screening on or after 1 July, and meet the clinical criteria, will have their next test due date set at five years. The NHS aims to eliminate cervical cancer by 2040 and is also rolling out the option of DIY swab kits. The World Health Organisation's definition of eliminating cervical cancer is to have an incidence rate of below 4 per 100,000 women.

FREDDY Brazier has made a shock U-turn on plans to enter rehab – just days after admitting he's been hooked on smoking since the age of 12. The youngest son of TV presenter Jeff Brazier, 46, and the late Jade Goody, shared a dramatic change of heart on Instagram over the weekend. 7 7 7 7 7 But posting a black and white throwback of himself as a child, Freddy wrote: 'You know what I don't need rehab! I just need a holiday with a good group of boys or a retreat.' It comes just a week after the 20-year-old revealed he was preparing to check into a Marbella rehab facility in a bid to 'get clean', and open up a new chapter in his life. Freddy stunned followers when he opened up about a long-standing smoking addiction and a desire to make peace with his dad after a tense family rift. The 20-year-old, who starred with Jeff in the BBC's Celebrity Race Across The World, revealed he wanted to get help in Spain for cannabis, saying he 'wants a healthy relationship with his dad'. In a heartfelt post, he said: 'I want to be clean so I can life happily and have healthy relationships with people and be there for all of my family rather then feeling like I'm in the middle and have to choose a side.' Freddy also shared hopes of mending things with his famous father, saying: 'I want to play football and take up boxing. One family pal revealed: 'Jeff was never going to keep Freddy away from his Nanny for very long — they've always had a strong bond.' 'They had a great time together, playing with her dog and catching up at her flat – where he has often stayed over the years.'
