After Jesse Palmer And Wells Adams Express ‘Hope' For Age-Gap Relationships In Paradise, Bachelor Alums Shared Their Strong Feelings

Bachelor in Paradise has yet to kick off its 10th season on the 2025 TV schedule, but already the addition of Golden franchise contestants has created buzz around the reality dating spinoff. In fact, after host Jesse Palmer and bartender Wells Adams commented on the potential of age-gap romances, a couple of former contestants weighed in with some strong opinions. Age-gap romances are all the rage right now, if not in movies like The Idea of You, Babygirl and even Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, we're seeing one play out in real life between 73-year-old football coach Bill Belichick and his 24-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson. However, in the eyes of some Bachelor Nation alumni, that shouldn't be the goal of the franchise. In an Instagram post from the podcast Chicks in the Office that referenced Bachelor in Paradise host Jesse Palmer's comments in a recent interview, The Bachelor Season 25 winner Rachael Kirkconnell commented to say: Hm don't think we should be encouraging 50 year age gaps. Jade Roper — who has been married to Tanner Tolbert for nine years after meeting on Bachelor in Paradise Season 2 — commented simply, 'Ew,' and when asked if she could expand on why she took issue with the thought of The Golden Bachelor contestants dating the younger cast members, Roper responded: I was on this show, it would've made me feel very uncomfortable having six old men trying to hit on me constantly on a beach for a month. Is that good enough for you? So what exactly did the Bachelor in Paradise bartender and host say to inspire the backlash? While the Instagram post mentioned above cites Jesse Palmer in an US Weekly interview as the one hoping for intermingling between the differently aged contestants, the college football broadcaster actually seemed hesitant to share his feelings when Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson were brought up. Check out the actual interview clip below: While Jesse Palmer does say, 'Yeah, hopefully they'll… yes,' that doesn't sound to me like a fully thought-out endorsement. Rather than continuing on that line of thinking, he merely referenced Bill Belichick's viral CBS interview by saying: There's something I want to say about a recent interview, but I won't. Bartender Wells Adams, meanwhile, seemed more into the idea, saying he was 'hopeful' about seeing some crossover between the two casts. He also mentioned the real-world example, saying: This happens all the time in the real world. Look at Bill Belichick right now. It's happening in front of us all the time. I don't know if it will, but I think it'll be cool to have the Goldens around. By all accounts, those involved seem to be thrilled that fan-favorites like Leslie Fhima and Gary Levingston were part of the summer spinoff, with reports coming out of filming that the Goldens were partying even harder than the younger cast members. As for age-gap romances, though, Levingston shut that down and said audiences can 'rest assured' none of that went down. Bachelor Nation's Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert Enlist Kids for DIY Reno Project at New House

Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert are fixing up their new house, with a trio of special helpers in tow. "We are doing our first little renovation 'project' on the new house and thought what a fun thing to include the kids in on,' Roper, 38, wrote via Instagram on Sunday, June 1, referring to children Emmy, 7, Brooks, 5, and Reed, 4. 'Today, we are ripping some wallpaper down and celebrating with a little chicken-banana dance!! Emmy has been asking us to do this dance for a while now and was super excited if you can't tell.' In the video, Roper and Tolbert, 38, joined forces with Emmy and Brooks — all wearing sunglasses — for a hilarious dance. (Reed was off-camera, filming the family shenanigans.) The Bachelor Nation alums purchased a new property in Kansas City, Missouri, in April. Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert's Family Album With Their 3 Kids: See Photos of the 'Bachelor' Couple's Brood 'Still doesn't feel real,' Roper wrote via Instagram at the time. 'So many things had to fall into place for this to happen, and I truly, really feel at home here. Like it's always belonged to us. Who's ready for the renovations? We have no idea what we're doing.' Tolbert, meanwhile, jokingly replied, 'What are we doing? I don't even own tools ⚒️ 🧰.' The couple apparently figured out how to fix up the house by Sunday. 'We're at the new house and we figured it would only be appropriate and fun to do our first little reno project with the kids,' Roper said in an Instagram Story video. 'So, what did we do, Emmy?' Emmy chimed in to note that they ripped 'out wallpaper' in the dining room. 'It was a lot of fun,' Roper added. The dining area initially had burgundy-colored walls with white crown molding around the ceiling and two rounded windows. 'The dining room is one of my favorite rooms in the whole house,' Roper added via her Instagram Stories. 'Can't wait to make it 'us.'' 'Bachelor' and 'Bachelorette' Babies: See Which Reality Stars Have Given Birth Roper and Tolbert moved back to his native Missouri from California in late 2024. At the time, they planned to build a new property from the ground up. 'We bought 10 acres. This is a dream come true for me,' Roper, who hailed from Nebraska, wrote via Instagram in November 2024. 'I grew up in the country and have so many fond memories of my childhood playing outside in nature and exploring with my brothers. Can't wait to give our kids this kind of childhood. We're so excited for this journey to build our dream home.' She revealed earlier this year that they decided to sell the land and purchase an already-built home instead.
