Model with $10M legs risks losing precious limb to shark: ‘Literally inches from me'
These long legs would have been a mouthful. OnlyFans model Marie Temara — famed for her statuesque 6-foot-3-inch frame and legs valued at a staggering $10 million — narrowly avoided a catastrophic injury during a shark encounter in the Bahamas. 5 OnlyFans model Marie Temara nearly lot a limb to a shark while on vacation. Jam Press/@MarieTemara While vacationing in the waters of Compass Cay, a hotspot known for its nurse shark sightings, the Miami-based model, who towers 10 inches above the average US woman, captured a moment that shocked her and her viewers. Advertisement Perched on the edge of a small boat with one of her signature limbs dangling inches above the ocean, Temara playfully teased the water with her toe — blissfully unaware of the danger lurking below. In a now-viral video viewed over 629,000 times, three sharks suddenly emerged beneath her, gliding just inches from her bare foot. Despite the chilling proximity, Temata remained calm and even did a little shimmy. But behind her calm exterior was pure panic. Advertisement 'I almost lost a leg,' she confessed to her 2.8 million followers. 5 Compass Cay in the Bahamas is a hotspot known for its nurse shark sightings. Jam Press/@MarieTemara 'I knew there were sharks in the area, but I honestly didn't think they'd come that close. I was trying to stay cool, but inside I was screaming. Those sharks were literally inches from me.' The implications of such a loss were staggering. Marie earns $10 million annually from her modeling career, much of it directly tied to her long legs. She recently began exploring insurance options and consulted a firm in London that quoted her $100,000 per year to protect her most valuable assets. Jam Press/@MarieTemara 'My legs are so important to my career, and so it was lucky everything was ok,' she said. 'I make a lot of money from my height and my long legs. My legs are so important to my career, and so it was lucky everything was ok.' Thankfully, the sharks moved on without a bite, but the close call spooked Temara and her followers. Over the years, Temara has attracted lots of attention — and money — thanks to her long legs. Yet, she's actually the shortest in her family. 5 Compass Cay, a hotspot known for its nurse shark sightings, the Miami-based model shared. Jam Press/@MarieTemara The self-proclaimed tallest family on TikTok has gone viral online, with some clips amassing millions of views. Advertisement Temara comes from a long line of sky-high genes, with her mom standing at 6 feet, 5 inches tall, and her dad, like her, boasting a 6-foot-2-inch frame. Her brothers Shane, 26, and Troy, 24, are 6-feet-9 and 6-feet-10 respectively, making the youngest sibling the tallest. After losing her job as an accountant in 2020 and dealing with a breakup in 2021, the Florida resident started a TikTok account about her stature, amassing millions of views on her videos. After gaining more than 390,000 followers on the app, she turned to OnlyFans, sharing clips in which she flaunts her height by standing near or kicking over everyday objects. Advertisement Now, Temara said she makes 'what [she] used to make in a year in a month.' While, as she's previously admitted, it took her some time to embrace her height and accept that it's made it difficult to date, posting videos about being tall has helped. Temara says she hopes people who see her videos feel inspired to embrace their own bodies, gaining confidence in the process — particularly younger girls.

‘Jeff Bezos from Temu' tricks fans in Venice ahead of celeb-studded wedding
'Jeff Bezos from Temu.' Fans and tourists found themselves unwittingly tailing a Jeff Bezos lookalike in Venice on Thursday as the Amazon billionaire prepared to wed Lauren Sanchez. While Bezos and his fiancée were busy being snapped by photographers jetting through the Italian canals, some mistakenly believed they had caught a glimpse of him casually strolling through the famed St Mark's Square. Advertisement 3 A camera crew was spotted following a Jeff Bezos lookalike — Cagdas Halicilar — in Venice on Thursday. tiktok/@danishtransporter Footage posted on TikTok by @danishtransporter showed the Bezos lookalike being tailed by scores of people and a camera crew as he roamed the cobble-stone streets. The man in the shot, though, was actually the billionaire's professional doppelgänger. Advertisement Cagdas Halicilar, a 47-year-old from Germany, has spent months cashing in on his uncanny resemblance to the Amazon boss. 'I look like his twin brother,' Halicilar told Jam Press last year. 3 Cagdas Halicilar, who makes a living as a Bezos doppelgänger, waved to photographers in Venice on Thursday. AFP via Getty Images Advertisement Halicilar, who quit his electrician job and landed a contract at a doppelgänger agency, has claimed in the past that he's routinely swarmed for selfies by fans who think he's the bonafide Bezos. Moonlighting as Bezos has seen him score a host of gigs on German TV stations and events of late, including the Netflix series 'King of Stonks.' Despite being a dead ringer for the business magnate, some social media users were quick to spot the mix up as the clip of Halicilar walking through Venice started spreading on social media. 'Jeff Bazos from Shein,' one person joked alongside the video, while another commented: 'Jeff Bezos from Temu.' Piovanotto Marco/ABACA/Shutterstock Still, it isn't the first time he'd managed to fool people into thinking he is Bezos. He once supposedly tricked Amazon employees into thinking he was the real deal. 'When I was in Seattle with my friends, we walked through the Amazon campus,' Halicilar said. 'All the Amazon employees came to me, wanted selfies and thanked me for being proud to work at Amazon.'

Terrifying moment firebug starts raging inferno in subway car — in a rage over his divorce
Terrifying video shows a South Korean man calmly dousing a packed subway carriage in gasoline and then setting it on fire — in a twisted rage over his recent divorce. The 67-year-old man, only identified as Won, is accused of sparking the May 31 inferno on a Seoul metro carriage during the morning rush hour, sending terrified straphangers rushing for their lives, Korea JoongAng reported. Surveillance footage from inside the train captured the suspect, who was wearing a white cap, suddenly hurling the gasoline onto the floor of the rammed carriage as fellow commuters stood idly by. The 67-year-old man, only identified as Won, is accused of carrying out the arson attack on a Seoul metro carriage during the morning rush hour on May 31. Jam Press Unnerved passengers could be seen immediately fleeing as the flammable liquid streamed through the carriage — with one woman slipping and losing her shoes in the rush to escape. Moments later, the man was caught kneeling down and setting the train ablaze. The alleged perp, who was arrested and charged with attempted murder and arson, later told cops that he was angry about the outcome of his recent divorce lawsuit and had purchased the gasoline weeks before. It wasn't immediately clear if his ex was on the train. Surveillance footage from inside the train captured the suspect, who was wearing a white cap, suddenly hurling the gasoline onto the floor of the rammed carriage before he set it alight. Jam Press 'Spraying a large amount of gasoline on a subway used by an unspecified number of passengers and then setting it on fire, causing a large-scale fire and spreading toxic gases, is an act of murder tantamount to terrorism,' prosecutors said. 'If the evacuation had been delayed, the possibility of casualties would have been very high.' Six people were injured in the ordeal, officials said, though it wasn't immediately clear if they suffered burns. Another 23, including the alleged perp, were treated in hospitals for smoke inhalation.
