Kuwaiti influencer hospitalized after taking Mounjaro injection
ALBAWABA - Kuwaiti influencer Jamal Al Najadah was recently hospitalized in China after taking a Mounjaro injection without a doctor's advice, which led to serious health issues.
Similar to Ozempic, Mounjaro is prescribed to patients with Type 2 diabetes to help lower their blood sugar and aid in weight loss. While a doctor's advice is always recommended, these weight loss medications have recently seen a rise in popularity among celebrities worldwide due to their weight loss effects.
Celebrities viewed these injections as an easier "alternative" for weight loss instead of taking a more ordinary approach like eating healthy and exercising.
Kuwaiti influencer Jamal Al Najadah is no different, as she recently took to her socials with a warning to her followers. Al Najadah revealed that she was hospitalized in China after suffering from severe bleeding and ulcers in the stomach.
Al Najadah added that the symptoms occurred after she injected herself with Mounjaro without a doctor's advice.
She said during a viral video, "I was acting like a psychiatrist. I took Mounjaro without a doctor's consultation, and I paid the price with a bleeding stomach."
She added that the medication itself isn't dangerous if taken under a doctor's consultation, but specific health issues might arise if the patient misuses it or injects themselves without medical supervision. Al Najdah's fans praised the Kuwaiti influencer for her bold and open stance regarding the matter at hand.
They also viewed her warning as an important awareness message to girls who might resort to diabetes medications like Mounjaro and Ozempic for an easier weight loss solution.
