Man sentenced for robbing same CIBC branch twice
A man was sentenced Friday for robbing the same branch of the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce in downtown Lethbridge twice in two months.
A Lethbridge man convicted of robbing the same bank twice in two months is serving federal prison time.
The CIBC in the 500 block of 13 Street North in Lethbridge was robbed in March of 2023 and then again in April the same year.
Jamie Gerald Bagu, 53, plead guilty to the robberies.
He was sentenced to seven years behind bars and given a firearms prohibition
