The makers, who announced her cameo back in February, have now released a promo for the song titled "Monika… Love You Monika" — a high-energy mass beat number shot in a port backdrop. The promo dropped on Wednesday, with the full song set to release on Friday evening. In the video, Pooja can be seen in striking red costumes and sets the screen ablaze with her performance. She took to X to share the teaser on social media, and captioned it: "Monika Fever Begins!" Produced by Sun Pictures, Coolie features a stellar cast including Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna, Aamir Khan, Upendra, Sathyaraj, Shruti Haasan, and Soubin Shahir. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on August 14, 2025. Meanwhile, Pooja Hegde has a packed slate ahead, with major roles in: Jananayagan opposite Vijay (Tamil), Kanchana 4 with Raghava Lawrence (Horror-Comedy), Hai Jawani Tho Ishq Hona Hai alongside Varun Dhawan (Bollywood Romantic Comedy).

H Vinoth to direct Dhanush after ‘Jana Nayagan'? Composer Sam CS' tweet goes viral
There have been speculations that filmmaker H Vinoth, who is currently helming Vijay's swan song film Jana Nayagan, is set to team up with actor Dhanush for his next. Now, on Monday (July 7), a tweet from music composer Sam CS has further added to the speculations, with many netizens taking it as an official confirmation of the project. On Monday, an X user's tweet claimed the project is officially in the making, and that the rumours of Vinoth pitching a script to superstar Rajinikanth are false. 'This collaboration' — between Dhanush and Vinoth — 'was originally meant to happen before #Jananayagan But got offer to direct #ThalapathyVijay's final film, Dhanush respectfully stepped aside, recognizing the importance of that moment in Vijay's journey and giving the space to take it up, (sic)' read the post, adding that the film will start immediately after the release of Jana Nayagan. The tweet further stated that the film will be produced by Lalit Kumar under his 7 Screen Studios banner and that Sam will compose the music. In mere minutes after the post was published, Sam retweeted the post with 'high-five' and 'fire' emojis, seemingly confirming that the details mentioned in the post are true. Notably, in an earlier interview with Kumudam, editor Pradeep E Ragav mentioned that producer Lalit had called him regarding this project. 'I've always wanted to work with H Vinoth, so I immediately agreed. I signed the contract and took the advance as well,' said Pradeep. These developments have certainly added to the buzz surrounding this collaboration. Vinoth, who made his debut with 2014's acclaimed Sathuranga Vettai, turned heads with his sophomore effort, the blockbuster Karthi-starrerTheeran Adhigaaram Ondru. He went on to direct superstar Ajith Kumar in three films — Nerkonda Paarvai, Valimaiand Thunivu— and is now helming superstar Vijay's final film, Jana Nayagan. It is to be noted that Vinoth was set to direct Kamal Haasan in a project, then tentatively called KH233; however, news reports now state that the project has been dropped. Dhanush, on the other hand, was recently seen in Kuberaa, co-starring Nagarjuna Akkineni and Rashmika Mandanna. The actor has Idly Kadai, co-starring Nithya Menen, Tere Ishq Mein, directed by Aanand L Rai, a film with Amaran-maker Rajkumar Periasamy, a film with Por Thozhil director Vignesh Raja, a biopic on the former President of India Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, and D56 with director Mari Selvaraj in various stages of production.

The film is quickly racing toward the 50 million mark, setting new digital benchmarks. Produced by Venkat K Narayan under the prestigious K.V.N. Productions, the first look of Jananayagan was unveiled as a special treat on the occasion of Thalapathy Vijay's 51st birthday. Hanumankind confirms new song for Vijay's final film Jana Nayagan, says Anirudh has created a ‘beautiful rap song'
Vijay fans are eagerly waiting to know more about his final film as an actor. On Friday, fans got a new surprise as rapper Hanumankind revealed that he has lent his voice to the political action thriller, Jana Nayagan, which will be helmed by director H Vinoth. Hanumankind spoke this first to Ananda Vikatan. The film's music will be scored by Anirudh. As per the official X post of the site, Hanumankind said in Tamil, "I have sung a beautiful rap song for Thalapathy Vijay in the film 'Jananayagan' with music by Anirudh. I will be coming to Chennai for many more projects. Expect more action!" Hanumankind recently made India proud as he decided to represent his home state Kerala at Coachella 2025 and turned up at the music festival with chenda drummers in tow. The percussion band dressed in traditional white outfits and joined him as he performed his latest song, Run It Up on stage. As Vijay plans to contest in 2026 Tamil Nadu elections with his newly formed party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), this will be his final film. He even confirmed the same at a rally in February and stated that his 69th film will mark the end of his acting career while addressing critics who questioned the transition. Jana Nayagan is rumoured to be a remake of Anil Ravipudi's 2023 hit Bhagavanth Kesari. Vijay appeals to fans, cadre not to drive two-wheelers recklessly
Actor-politician and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam president Vijay on Thursday appealed to his fans and party cadre not to follow his vehicle or drive two-wheelers in a reckless manner, especially without wearing helmets. Speaking briefly to the media at Chennai Airport before departing for Madurai, Mr. Vijay said, 'I am heading to Kodaikanal for the shoot of the movie Jananayagan. I will be visiting Madurai soon as part of the party's upcoming events. Please don't drive rashly or without a helmet – it's deeply distressing to see.' His appeal comes days after some of his fans climbed onto the van in which Mr. Vijay held a road show in Coimbatore when he was in the city for the party's booth-level agents zonal conference.
