250 villages of Kanakapura taluk to get Cauvery water: DKS
Deputy Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar said a plan would be formulated to supply drinking water from the river Cauvery to 250 villages in Kanakapura taluk in Bengaluru South (former Ramanagara) district of Karnataka. 'We are planning to pump Cauvery water from near Sangam to 250 villages for drinking purposes. The project to supply Cauvery water to the tanks of the taluk has already been kicked off,' he said, while addressing a Janaspandana programme at Kodihalli in Kanakapura Assembly constituency on July 21.

Residents pour out their woes at Janaspandana in Hassan
Hassan: The Janaspandana programme organised to redress public grievances in Hassan evoked a good response. A total of 140 applications were received, and deputy commissioner KS Latha Kumari directed the officials concerned to take action on them by the next programme scheduled for next month. The DC instructed officials to conduct a Pension Adalat alongside the land record campaign to identify those who were left out and provide govt scheme benefits to eligible individuals. The DC directed the assistant commissioners to take strict action to remove encroachments on lakes, grazing lands, and cemeteries. She also instructed that applications lacking necessary documents be submitted to the missing committee and directed officials to ensure bus services for school and college students in Bandi Timmanahalli, Alur taluk. She advised submitting applications when the Ambedkar Development Corporation invites applications for borewell projects. In case of any complaints, officials were instructed to visit the site in person and address the problems. The IAS officer also directed ensuring the safety of all govt buildings, prioritising the repair of school buildings for children's safety, and protecting govt properties. Janaspandana prog resolves public grievances through integrated system
Hassan: In a bid to resolve common people's complaints at the earliest, deputy commissioner KS Latha Kumari instructed officials to organise a taluk-level Janaspandana programme at every tahsildar office on the first Saturday of every month and a district-level programme at the DC's office on every third Saturday of the month. Instructions were given to village administrators to set up office systems. Alongside conducting the death certificate campaign, officials were directed to submit weekly reports. Greater attention was called for the disposal of pending court case files. She also suggested curbing the menace of intermediaries, and officials were instructed to conduct the pension campaign without causing inconvenience to the public. Kumari advised protecting govt properties, and maintenance of govt buildings was emphasised. Steps were instructed to remove encroachments on govt assets. An integrated public grievance redressal system was implemented by the govt to allow farmers, the public, and rural citizens to file complaints if they did not receive the benefits of social, educational, commercial, and agricultural activities from various departments within the stipulated period. The integrated public grievance system is available on the Janaspandana portal. Citizens can directly file their grievances through this system. The reserved 1902 helpline for the integrated public grievance system is also available to citizens. Even from remote villages without internet access, the public can call the 1902 helpline to register complaints or grievances. In addition to these, the govt directed the organisation of the Janaspandana programme at district and taluk levels to provide a platform for the public to submit their grievances and resolve issues. Janaspandana to ensure transparent grievance redressal: Minister in charge of Mysuru
Minister in charge of Karnataka's Mysuru district H.C. Mahadevappa on Friday said that the State government is committed to resolving people's problems transparently and eliminating middlemen in grievance redressal. Inaugurating the district-level Janaspandana and e-Pauti campaign at the Zilla Panchayat auditorium, Mr. Mahadevappa said that Karnataka Development Programme (KDP) meetings are held every three months, while Janata Darshan programmes are organised every six months to address public grievances directly. 'Officials should provide details on how many petitions received in earlier Janaspandana programmes have been resolved. Applicants whose petitions face legal hurdles must also be informed. People should be made aware of transparent governance,' he directed officials. On Friday, over 200 petitions were received, up from 113 in the previous programme. The Minister said that the data has been compiled on the types of problems raised, departments concerned, petitions resolved, and actions pending. 'The administration will always stand with people to address their grievances,' he assured. He added that direct interaction with the people not only resolves their issues, but also helps address administrative bottlenecks within government offices. 'To eliminate middlemen, Janaspandana programmes will be held every six months to ensure direct contact between citizens and the administration,' he informed. Street vendors, differently-abled persons, and daily-wage workers submitted requests for housing facilities. Their petitions have been collected, and necessary steps have been assured to provide multi-housing facilities. 'Steps will be taken to ensure housing for everyone. Officials must identify economically backward people who are not receiving benefits and extend all necessary facilities to them,' Mr. Mahadevappa said. MLC C.N. Sincere efforts afoot to address public grievances: Minister in-charge of Mandya district N. Cheluvarayaswamy
Minister in-charge of Mandya district N. Cheluvarayaswamy on Tuesday said that the district administration is making sincere efforts to resolve various public grievances in accordance with legal procedures. 'The State government's five guarantee schemes are being implemented in a non-partisan manner, without any discrimination based on caste or community. Benefits are being extended to all eligible citizens,' he said after inaugurating the Janaspandana (public interaction) programme held at K.R. Pet. Mr. Cheluvarayaswamy further said that public representatives have initiated several development works. He noted that the Mysugar factory is being revitalised, and a new agricultural university is also being set up in Mandya to boost the farming sector. 'More than 20,000 revenue-related cases have been resolved in the past two years. The State government is also working on simplifying rules related to e-Khata, e-Swathu, and B-Swathu to make services more accessible to the public,' the Minister added.
