NBCC (India) secures multi-state Rs 518 cr project from Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti

NBCC (India) announced that it has secured a new work from Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti in four states worth Rs 518.49 crore. Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti has undertaken several major infrastructure projects across the northeastern and southern regions of India, focused on the construction of permanent campuses for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs). Notable among these are projects in Lepa Rada (Rs 75.90 crore), Lohit (Rs 72.33 crore), and Noney (Rs 70.29 crore). Other significant works include campuses in Lower Siang (Rs 66.53 crore), Pakke Kessang (Rs 64.75 crore), and dual projects in Majuli and Charaideo, Assam (Rs 55.38 crore each). Additional developments are underway in Bhadradri Kothagudem, Telangana (Rs 46.85 crore), and Sonitpur, Assam (Rs 11.08 crore), reflecting a broad push to strengthen educational infrastructure in remote and underserved regions. NBCC (India) is in business and operates in three major segments, namely project management consultancy, real estate, and engineering procurement & construction. The company's consolidated net profit advanced 29.27% to Rs 175.92 crore on a 16.17% rise in revenue from operations to Rs 4,642.55 crore in Q4 FY25 over Q4 FY24. Shares of NBCC (India) declined 1.78% to Rs 118.55 on the BSE.

Over 22L students clear Class X exams

New Delhi: In the Class X results announced by the Central Board of Secondary Education on Tuesday, there was a marginal improvement of 0.06% in the pass rate from 93.6% in 2024 to 93.66% this year. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now As in the Class XII results, girls this year again outshone boys in Class X, achieving a pass percentage of 95%, up from 94.75% in 2024. In comparison, boys recorded a pass percentage of 92.63%, slightly lower than their 92.71% performance last year. In Delhi, 3.1 lakh of the nearly 3.3 lakh students who sat for the exams passed for a success percentage of 95.1%.Nearly two lakh students, or 8.4% of the total candidates, scored above 90% in the 2025 exams. Of them, 45,516 students, or 1.9%, scored above 95%. This year, 23.9 lakh students had registered for the Class X exams across the country and 23.7 lakh appeared, of whom 22.2 lakh were successful. In 2024, 22.4 lakh students sat for the exams and nearly 21 lakh passed. Foreign schools affiliated with CBSE saw a marginal dip in performance. In 2024, these institutions had a pass percentage of 98.6%, with 27,761 students registered and 27,267 passing. This year, the number of candidates rose to 29,847 of whom 29,320 passed, the pass percentage being 98.5%.Institution-wise, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas topped the charts with a pass percentage of 99.5%, closely followed by Kendriya Vidyalayas at 99.4%. Independent schools recorded a 94.2% pass rate, while schools under Central Tibetan Schools Administration managed 91.5%. Govt schools registered a pass percentage of 89.3% and govt-aided schools, a relatively lower 83.9%.The regional performance once again showcased the dominance of southern regions. Thiruvananthapuram and Vijayawada had an impressive 99.8% pass rate, marginally improving from the previous year. Bengaluru secured the third spot with a 98.9% pass rate, followed by Chennai at 98.7%. Notably, Pune made its way into the top five this year with a pass percentage of 96.5%, replacing Ajmer, which had a pass rate of 97.1% in 2024 but did not feature among the top five this performance of children with special needs (CWSN) was commendable, 9,248 students registering, 9,160 appearing, and 8,795 passing, meaning a pass percentage of 96%. Among CWSN candidates, 411 scored above 90% and 66 of them crossed the 95% the number of students placed in the compartment category saw a slight increase, with 1.4 lakh students compared with 1.3 lakh in 2024. The compartment percentage rose marginally from 5.91% in 2024 to 5.96% this year.

The overall pass percentage of Delhi stood at 95.14 per cent, higher than the national rate of 93.66 per cent, in the CBSE Class 10 exam results declared on Tuesday. While marginal from 2024, the improvement aligns with a national rise of just 0.06 percentage points over last year. The Delhi East region recorded a pass percentage of 95.07 per cent, placing it eighth among the CBSE's 17 regions, while Delhi West came in seventh with 95.24 per cent. Both regions were preceded by top performers including Thiruvananthapuram and Vijayawada (99.79 per cent), Bengaluru (98.90 per cent), and Chennai (98.71 per cent). Girls continued to outperform boys in the capital with a pass percentage of 96.46 against 94.16 per cent. Last year, the gap was slightly narrower, with 94.53 per cent of the girls and 93.39 per cent of the boys passing the exams. In 2025, girls did better than boys by a margin of 2.3 percentage points. This year, across the Delhi region, 3,28,701 students registered for, 3,27,041 took, and 3,11,138 passed the Class 10 exams. This points to a success rate of 95.14 per cent, a notch higher than 2024's 94.35 per cent, and significantly better than the national average. Centrally run schools once again topped the charts. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas recorded the highest pass percentage at 99.49 per cent, closely followed by Kendriya Vidyalayas at 99.45 per cent. Among private institutions, independent schools registered a strong 94.17 per cent, while government schools stood at 89.26 per cent, and government-aided schools trailed with 83.94 per cent. The percentage of students placed in the compartment category dropped slightly from 5.91 per cent in 2024 to 5.96 per cent in 2025. Meanwhile, 8.43 per cent of all students scored above 90 per cent, and 1.92 per cent scored above 95 per cent. Among children with special needs, 96.02 per cent passed, with 411 students scoring above 90 per cent, and 66 above 95 per cent. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta congratulated the students of Class 12, whose exam results were also declared by the CBSE. In a post on X, she wrote, 'Hearty congratulations and best wishes to all the students who performed excellently in class 12th of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)! 'This success is a testament to your hard work, discipline and determination. May you remain dedicated to your goals and touch new heights in life. 'To those students who have not got the desired result this time, I want to say – this is just a stop, not the limit of your capabilities. Sometimes the path to dreams takes time, but your sincere efforts and faith in yourself are your biggest strength. Convert defeat into energy within you, and try again with full devotion. After announcing the Class 12 result, the Central Board Of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the class 10 result today at 1 pm. 93.60% of students passed the board exams this year. Passing percentage increased by 0.06% since last year. Girls outshined boys by more than 2.37% points; 95% girls passed the exam. Trivandrum and Vijaywada regions topped with a 99.79% pass rate, followed by Bengaluru and Chennai with 98.90% and 98.71% respectively. Girls secured 95 per cent, while Boys received 92.63 per cent and Transgender passed with 95 per cent. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) schools led with an impressive pass percentage of 99.49%, closely trailed by Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) at 99.45%. Independent (private) schools also performed strongly, achieving a pass percentage of 94.17%.
