Interview: GOT7 Jay B On La Roche-Posay's New Anthelios UVMune 400, His Skincare Routine & Future Solo Projects
Skincare brand La Roche-Posay recently launched its latest innovation, the Anthelios UVMune 400 Anti-Dark-Spots Fluid SPF 50+, in Malaysia with a special celebrity appearance by Jay B (제이비), leader of GOT7. Formulated to meet the challenges of Malaysia's extreme UV levels, this next-generation sunscreen offers ultra-long UVA protection and visible dark-spot correction in a single, ultra-light formula. During the launch at Mid Valley Megamall, the K-pop idol also shared his personal skincare journey, underscoring the importance of reliable sun protection during both his performances and outdoor personal activities, so he can effectively shield himself from the sun. We also got to interview the idol himself to hear what he said about the new product, his skincare routine and his upcoming projects. 1. What is your daily skincare routine, and how do you incorporate the new Anthelios UVMune 400 into your day? Firstly, I start every morning with a mild cleanser and moisturising products. Lastly, I applied La Roche-Posay Anthelios UVMune 400 sunscreen before going out. 2. What skincare or beauty products do you always bring with you when you travel? Since I'm mostly involved in outdoor activities. I always need to bring sunscreen with me. I genuinely carry sunscreen everywhere. Besides that, I have experienced sunburn before, and I felt like the skin tone didn't suit me. I also realised that under stage lights and when I'm out at beaches or doing water sports, sun protection isn't just about avoiding burns. Long-wave UVA can bounce off surfaces or slip through windows, and I began to notice small dark spots after a while. Now I never step outside without sunscreen—it's the first thing I put on. That's why sunscreen has become essential for me to always bring it. 3. What is your personal beauty philosophy, and how has it evolved over time? When I was young, my skin was naturally smooth, so I didn't have a specific beauty philosophy or routine. Now, looking back, I think if I were still at that age, even 1 year younger, I would have put more effort into skin care. 4. Your last visit to Malaysia was in April for your solo concert. Now that you're back, is there anything you'd like to try that you didn't get to do the last time? Actually, I got some travel recommendations from my friends, and I really want to go travelling. I recently went to Bali. I heard that some places in Malaysia offer scuba diving. I would love to go and try it. If I get the chance, I'll definitely bring La Roche Posay Anthelios UVMune 400 sunscreen with me. 5. What's a typical day like for you when you're not working? When I am not working, I look for various activities. But usually, I spent time practising, whether it's vocal training, instrument practice as well or language learning sessions. 6. What is next for your solo career? Are you currently working on new music? I am always working on new music. However, when it will be released depends on the right timing. I hope it will be released as soon as possible, so I can share the new album and meet my fans as well.

Babymonster logs 300m views with ‘Batter Up' music video
Babymonster garnered 300 million views on YouTube with the 'Batter Up' music video, label YG Entertainment said Wednesday. The video reached the milestone on the previous day, about 14 months after its release. The music video is its second video to do so, after that of 'Sheesh,' the main track from the group's first EP. 'Batter Up' is the rookie girl group's predebut single. The music video has set multiple records for a K-pop band, logging the most views on YouTube in 24 hours at 22.59 million and surpassing 100 million in the shortest time at 18 days. Meanwhile, the septet held a two-day concert in Seoul late last month and will fly to the US on Feb. 28 for its first international "Hello Monsters" tour. Jay B of GOT7 will visit more fans in Asia in March and April, according to agency Mauve Company Wednesday. He held a solo concert in Seoul in December last year and the 'Tape: Re Load" concert in Bangkok in January. He plans to expand the latest concert to five more cities in the region: Manila, followed by Taipei, Tokyo, Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur. At his solo gig, he performed songs from his first solo studio album 'Archive 1: [Road Runner],' including both main tracks 'Crash' and 'Cloud Nine.' The LP came out in November 2024 and topped the iTunes Top Albums Chart in 11 regions. Last month, he reunited with his bandmates for the group's 13th EP 'Winter Heptagon' and held a three-day concert in Seoul.
