Miami Dolphins Fins Up/Fins Down: Tua Tagovailoa, Jaylen Waddle star, Day 7 training camp

MIAMI GARDENS — MIAMI GARDENS – The Miami Dolphins had their seventh training camp practice of the 2025 season on Wednesday, July 30 at Baptist Health Training Complex. The Dolphins passing game continues to be ahead of the pass defense. Among the absent Dolphins were Kader Kohou (knee/out for season); Ashtyn Davis (leg/not expected to miss season) and Tyreek Hill (personal reasons). Miami Dolphins training camp Day 7 stock up/stock down Stock Up LB — Willie Gay has been outstanding since his arrival. He is fast. He is aggressive. He is passionate. He brings great energy. Gay has been a good addition. QB Tua Tagovailoa — Tua Tagovailoa has seven practices with no interceptions. Tua has been sharp and accurate and consistent. This has to be his best season. WR Jaylen Waddle — Jaylen Waddle appears a step quicker and more consistent with his hands than he was last season. Waddle is clearly determined for a bounce back. Stock Down Dolphins CBs — Tua Tagovailoa made a very good point after practice, which is that it's hard to guage young cornerbacks when they're facing the likes of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle in practice. But there is no doubt Miami's WRs have gotten the better of most matchups with corners so far. Dolphins' Jaylen Waddle gets brutally honest on last season's slump

The post Dolphins' Jaylen Waddle gets brutally honest on last season's slump appeared first on ClutchPoints. With the Miami Dolphins making moves like trading away Jalen Ramsey and Jonnu Smith for Minkah Fitzpatrick, the team still needs explosive production from its offensive playmakers. As fans will have their bold predictions for the Dolphins, one player that will be crucial to their success is wide receiver Jaylen Waddle. The 26-year-old is coming off a season that should be considered a slump, where he caught 58 passes for 744 yards and two touchdowns, breaking the streak of three consecutive years with over 1,000 yards. Waddle would even admit that it was 'definitely the year that I didn't want as an individual,' according to Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN. 'After watching the film, definitely a lot of hand eye (coordination) — I feel like I'm trying to move without the ball too much,' Waddle said. 'And just the simple things, just timing, getting smoother in and out of my routes. Pretty much that.' Waddle's connection with star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is vital to the offense, along with Tyreek Hill, with the Alabama product looking for a bounce-back season in 2025. Head coach Mike McDaniel would praise Waddle, saying he has noticed the work that's been put in so far. 'I think he's shown his teammates who he really is,' McDaniel said. 'I think one thing that you can't really minimize is, from a receiver's perspective, having quarterbacks that you didn't even practice with in training camp — that's a difficult task. The way he worked on his game during the season has transferred into what we need to see from him, from every player.' Dolphins' Jaylen Waddle holding himself accountable for a slump season With the Dolphins preparing for training camp, it will be a significant one for Waddle, who's going into his fifth season in the NFL looking to reinforce the notion that he and Hill are one of the NFL's top one-two punches at receiver. The first step to a bounce-back season is holding oneself accountable, something that Waddle has done in Miami, per McDaniel. 'I think therein proves who he is — where he doesn't make it a thing because it wasn't,' McDaniel said. 'His game is growing and he is going to find ways to exceed each and every year as he knows to be the standard now. … It's kind of like a badge of honor in that he doesn't see it that way, nor should he, and he's a secure player that is working on his craft and the returns on that, he knows with his life wisdom that the returns will be very favorable.' Besides Waddle, it would be a down season overall for Miami after a few seasons of an explosive offense led by Tagovailoa, Hill, and others under McDaniel. The Dolphins are looking to improve after finishing with an 8-9 record, which put them second in the AFC East. Miami opens up the new season on Sunday, Sept. 7, against the Indianapolis Colts, but first, the team will have its preseason slate start on August 10 vs. the Chicago Bears. Buy These Quarterbacks in Dynasty Fantasy Football

MIAMI GARDENS, FL - SEPTEMBER 12: Tua Tagovailoa #1 of the Miami Dolphins warms up prior to an NFL ... More football game against the Buffalo Bills at Hard Rock Stadium on September 12, 2024 in Miami Gardens, FL. (Photo by) Training camp has officially started, and the NFL season is almost here. With more information coming out about some of these players, it's important to understand their value in dynasty fantasy football. Now the players on this list will all be targets more for superflex or 2QB leagues. While the last two players could hold value in a 1QB league if they hit big, these players are strong QB2 options. All three players are valued below QB24 on Keep Trade Cut, making them viable options for any team build. Let's dive right into the list. Buy These Quarterbacks in Dynasty Fantasy Football There was once a time when Tua Tagovailoa was being valued as a top 12 quarterback on KTC. While Tagovailoa may not get back up to the QB8 range due to his injury history, it's easier to believe that he will rise closer to QB12 than fall anymore. At QB25 right now, this seems like rock bottom for Tagovailoa, barring a serious injury, which is impossible to predict. Tagovailoa is a talented player who scored 17.8 PPG in 2022, then threw for 4,624 yards (15.9 PPG) in 2023. Tyreek Hill is back for another year, De'Von Achane is heading into year three, and Jaylen Waddle is the X factor for this offense. Waddle has been banged up the past few years, but the last time he played in 17 games was in 2022. Waddle had 75 catches for 1,356 yards and eight touchdowns. If Waddle can get back to that form after failing to go over 1,050 receiving yards since, Tagovailoa will benefit in a big way. Finally, the Miami Dolphins selected Jonah Savaiinaea in round two of the NFL Draft to help protect Tagovailoa. Jalen Milroe isn't a quarterback you can start this year, but he's a player who is highly unlikely to ever go much further than this in his career. Right now, Milroe is stuck behind Sam Darnold after being drafted in the 3rd round of the 2025 NFL Draft. Milroe is just a rookie, and I broke down his entire prospect profile in this linked article. The main takeaway from my prospect evaluation of Milroe is that he's an elite runner. Not only does the film back this, but his rushing stats are phenomenal. During Milroe's final year of college, he had 726 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns. Keep in mind that sacks count as negative rushing yards in college. Darnold had a great year, but he was in one of the best situations in the NFL with the Minnesota Vikings. Darnold had never thrown for more than 3,100 yards in any of his first six seasons, indicating that this success might be unstable. With how cheap Milroe is, he's absolutely worth a shot. The upside is that he has a career similar to Justin Fields, where he's fantasy-relevant solely from his rushing upside. Although Fields is the QB24 now, he peaked as the QB7. INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA - OCTOBER 08: Anthony Richardson #5 of the Indianapolis Colts throws a pass ... More against the Tennessee Titans during the first quarter at Lucas Oil Stadium on October 08, 2023 in Indianapolis, Indiana. (Photo by) The last player on our list, Anthony Richardson, is very similar to Milroe. Although Richardson hasn't shown much as a passer, his rushing upside is through the roof. Richardson had 18.2 PPG in four games as a rookie and 14.9 PPG last season. Last year, Richardson had 499 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns. The downside with Richardson is that he's battling for the starting spot, he's failed to stay healthy (15 games in two years), and if he doesn't take a step up as a passer, his future as a starter could be up in the air. The case for Richardson is that he was the 4th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, which showcases his upside. Since the Indianapolis Colts are very invested in Richardson, there's a good chance he'll get one more year to prove himself. With Richardson, you're getting a quarterback that could be a sleeper to finish as a low-end QB1 this year due to his rushing ability. Not only that, but Richardson has the upside to shoot up dynasty fantasy football rankings if he does put things together. Keep in mind that Richardson was the QB6 on KTC back in September of 2024.

Dolphins UDFA Profile: WR Monaray Baldwin

The Miami Dolphins have speed all over their offense, and undrafted free agent wide receiver Monaray Baldwin is looking to be the team's newest big-play threat. Baldwin was a slot receiver during his four seasons at Baylor where he became a key contributor to the Bears offense. In 2023, The Athletic highlighted Baldwin's athleticism, naming him one of the biggest "Freaks" in college football. On the field, Baldwin averaged 16.9 yards per reception in 44 collegiate games, finding the end zone 15 times: 13 through the air and two on the ground. He finished his Baylor career with 99 receptions for 1,673 yards and 178 rushing yards on 19 attempts, averaging an impressive 9.4 yards per carry. Baldwin broke out as a sophomore with 33 receptions for 564 yards, four receiving touchdowns, and one rushing score. Known for his yards-after-catch ability, The Athletic's Bruce Feldman noted, 'He hit 22.8 MPH on the GPS on a touchdown, which was the fastest clocked in-game speed for a college player in 2022.' Last season, Baldwin posted his best yards per reception average at Baylor (17.7) and scored a career-high five touchdowns. Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle lead Miami's wide receiver room with second-year player Malik Washington and free-agent signee Nick Westbrook-Ikhine currently penciled in as the third and fourth receivers heading into training camp. The fifth spot could become a hotly contested battle between Baldwin, a trio of other undrafted wideouts, and last year's seventh-round pick Tahj Washington, who spent all of 2024 on injured reserve. Baldwin also brings moderate kick-return experience from college and could factor into that phase during camp. His versatility, crisp route-running, and explosiveness, including a 4.32-second 40-yard dash, make him a player to watch closely this summer. Bryant-Denny Stadium Falls in New Stadium Rankings for EA Sports College Football 26

Bryant-Denny Stadium Falls in New Stadium Rankings for EA Sports College Football 26 originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The release date for the new installment of the EA Sports College Football game is approaching, with the game available for purchase on July 10. Following the success of the 2025 game, the first one since 2014, the 2026 edition is looking bigger and better than ever, with numerous new features in the game. Advertisement EA Sports has begun to reveal the new features players can expect in the game while also announcing rankings and other aspects of the game. One of those is the toughest place to play in the game. It ranks the stadiums with the most hostile atmosphere to play in. The Alabama Crimson Tide has seen its ranking fall from 2025, per On3. However, it wasn't as big a fall as the Texas A&M Aggies' stadium, Kyle Field. They were ranked No. 1 but have tumbled down to the No. 11 rank, which will not go down well with the Aggie fans. This year, the LSU Tigers considered their stadium the toughest to play in during the game. Not many will argue that Tiger Stadium is loud, and so is the Penn State Nittany Lions' home atmosphere, with Beaver Stadium at number two on the list. Ohio Stadium (Ohio State Buckeyes) and Sanford Stadium (Georgia Bulldogs) were also ranked ahead of Alabama. Advertisement Bryant-Denny Stadium is electric, whether it's day or night. Some of the best atmospheres in college football have been witnessed there, mainly in the Iron Bowl against Auburn. A spot in the top 5 seems a fair decision from the game producers, but others may think differently.
