Blake Lively's Deposition Gets New Date After Postponement — Report
A new date has been announced for the Blake Lively deposition amid her ongoing legal battle with Justin Baldoni. The 'Gossip Girl' actor's deposition was initially scheduled for Thursday. However, it has now reportedly been postponed to July 31. Both parties agreed to it after a recent court decision altered the course of proceedings. Blake Lively's deposition is reportedly set on July 31 after judge's ruling As Blake Lively prepares for her deposition in her legal battle with Justin Baldoni, the court postponed the initial schedule. Pushing the deposition back by two weeks, its new date is now July 31. PEOPLE obtained and reviewed the court documents. The tabloid claimed that the attorneys for Lively and Baldoni met on July 16, mutually agreeing on the new date. According to PEOPLE, a source claimed that both camps needed more time after the judge's ruling on Wednesday. This delay coincided with a judge's decision to dismiss a related lawsuit against publicity specialist Jed Wallace on jurisdictional grounds. Lively's civil action against Wallace was related to allegations of planning a smear campaign. However, Judge Lewis J. Liman ruled that the New York court lacked jurisdiction over him. A spokesperson for Lively told Us, 'Ms. Lively respects the Court's decision, which has nothing to do with the merits of her allegations about Mr. Wallace's role in the smear campaign.' They added that it 'relates solely to the procedural question of whether he is subject to jurisdiction in New York or elsewhere.' Additionally, they revealed, 'We currently are evaluating our numerous options for holding Mr. Wallace accountable for the pivotal role he served in the retaliatory effort that Justin Baldoni and the Wayfarer Parties paid him at least tens of thousands of dollars a month to perform.' The initial deposition fired controversy over a judge allowing Lively to hold it remotely from her attorney's office. However, the new location remains unclear, following a protective order granted to the 'Another Simple Favor' actor on July 14. The new date for the Blake Lively deposition is another development in the prolonged legal battle with Justin Baldoni. With the postponed deposition, all eyes are on the next steps in the high-profile case. The post Blake Lively's Deposition Gets New Date After Postponement — Report appeared first on Reality Tea. Blake Lively's Deposition Pushed Back by 2 Weeks After Judge's Latest Ruling in Justin Baldoni Case
NEED TO KNOW Blake Lively's lawsuit against Texas-based publicist and social media specialist Jed Wallace was dismissed on jurisdictional grounds on Wednesday, July 16 That same day, Lively's deposition, initially set for Thursday, July 17, was pushed back to Thursday, July 31 A source with knowledge of the situation tells PEOPLE both sides wanted more time after the judge's rulingBlake Lively's deposition date has been pushed back by two weeks after the judge's latest ruling in her ongoing legal battle against Justin Baldoni. According to court documents reviewed by PEOPLE, on Wednesday, July 16, counsel for both parties met and conferred, mutually agreeing to reschedule Lively's deposition for Thursday, July 31, after it was initially scheduled for Thursday, July 17. A rep for Lively did not reply to PEOPLE's request for comment. PEOPLE has reached out to Baldoni's lawyer for comment. The deposition was scheduled to take place in an undisclosed location after the actress was granted a protective order on Monday, July 14. The change of dates comes amid Lively's lawsuit against Texas-based publicist and social media specialist Jed Wallace being dismissed on jurisdictional grounds earlier the same day. The actress filed a civil rights complaint against Wallace, the operator behind Texas-based crisis-management firm Street Relations, Inc., in December 2024, claiming that he was hired by Justin Baldoni's PR team (publicists Melissa Nathan and Jen Abel) to assist in an alleged smear campaign against her. While Lively claimed Wallace "weaponized a digital army around the country from New York to Los Angeles to create, seed and promote content that appeared to be authentic on social media platforms and internet chat forums," Judge Lewis J. Liman granted Wallace's motion to dismiss without prejudice. The judge's dismissal allows the plaintiff to refile the same claim or charges at a later time. This means Lively has until July 31 to file an amended complaint or sue Wallace in a different jurisdiction, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE. A source with knowledge of the situation tells PEOPLE both sides wanted more time after the judge's ruling on Wednesday. In response to the dismissal, Lively's rep said in a statement shared with PEOPLE, "Ms. Lively respects the Court's decision, which has nothing to do with the merits of her allegations about Mr. Wallace's role in the smear campaign and relates solely to the procedural question of whether he is subject to jurisdiction in New York or elsewhere." "We currently are evaluating our numerous options for holding Mr. Wallace accountable for the pivotal role he served in the retaliatory effort that Justin Baldoni and the Wayfarer Parties paid him at least tens of thousands of dollars a month to perform," the statement added. In December 2024, Lively accused It Ends With Us director-costar Baldoni of sexual harassment and retaliation, allegations he has adamantly denied. Attorneys for both Lively and Baldoni have indicated that they plan to testify during the trial scheduled to take place in March 2026 in New York. Read the original article on People

Wallace tells West Brom to put frustration behind them
Jed Wallace has opened up on the frustration of West Bromwich Albion's campaign but hopes the Baggies can finish the season on a 31-year-old midfielder has missed the past six games with a calf injury but hopes to return to help Albion cement their place in the Brom are sixth on goal difference in a tight race with just seven points separating Coventry, in fifth, from 12th-placed Sheffield Wednesday, with seven games Baggies are the country's draw specialists with 18 - Championship rivals Preston North End and League Two Colchester United have 17 - and have won just one of their past five were stunned by a late winner at Norwich on Saturday, and Wallace told the BBC's EFL podcast 72+: "It's so frustrating. "When you look at the table and we're on the same points as Middlesbrough and they have lost six more games than us. To have 18 draws and only 13 wins is, for us, a huge frustration. "Saturday was almost the story of our season, certainly away from home, where we have all the ball, look in control of the game and then Norwich go down the other end, one ball straight through us, and score."The Baggies have not won away from The Hawthorns since 10 November, picking up just seven points from a possible 36 on the road since overcoming Hull City."It's been so frustrating for us, especially away from home," Wallace added. "It's still in our hands though – we are still sixth, we play teams in and around us and we know if we can get four or five wins in the next seven games I think we'll be where we want to be."Going into the season you think 74 points will give you a chance of Premier League football. I don't think you're going to need that this year. If you get 70 then you're going to be there or thereabouts."West Brom have 57 points going into what Wallace called "the biggest week of the season" as they host Sunderland followed by Tuesday's trip to Bristol City and the visit of Watford to The Hawthorns next Saturday."We're unbeaten home and away against teams in the top six and I think sometimes those more pure games of football technically can suit us more," he said."It's so frustrating because in (this away) run we have gone to Leeds and Burnley, two of the toughest away games all season, and in my opinion have been the better team in both games and come away not winning."West Brom have Bristol City and Coventry in their run-in and Wallace said: "They are huge for us. We know how unpredictable the Championship is, especially at this time of the season. "Our last three games are Derby, Cardiff and Luton who are obviously going to be fighting for their lives. "I don't think being four or five points behind is dead and buried, there are probably seven or eight teams who probably feel like they can get in the play-offs, we want to be one of them."

West Brom captain Wallace sidelined by injury
West Bromwich Albion captain Jed Wallace will be out for several weeks with a calf problem. Wallace suffered the injury during Saturday's 1-1 draw with former club Millwall and the 30-year-old had to come off midway through the second half. The winger joined the Baggies in June 2022 after his Lions contract expired, and he has made 28 appearances this season, scoring once. Albion occupy the final Championship play-off place, with a point more than seventh-placed Coventry, and hope Wallace will be back for the run-in to the season. His absence is an untimely blow, with Tony Mowbray's side having taken just four points from the past 12 - and with the chasing pack putting them under pressure in the battle for a top-six finish. Seven of the teams below Albion in the table are within four points of them.
