Local authorities are actively searching for the suspect involved in the incident. The shooting occurred on Saturday afternoon during a school reunion gathering. Witnesses reported that the gunfire broke out suddenly, causing panic among attendees, including families with young children and infants. The incident reportedly took place around 3 p.m. local time. One eyewitness, Jeff Herman, told Chattanooga's News Channel 3 that the event had started peacefully before the chaos unfolded. He described a terrifying scene where people were forced to flee or take cover as shots rang out. Emergency responders transported the injured victims to a nearby hospital.
