Calgary man charged for filming young girls and women at Southcentre Mall without their consent

In 2017, Jeffrey Williamson of Calgary received a two year sentence for voyeurism and possession of child pornography. He faces new charges announced Wednesday in relation to complaints that he filmed young girls and women at Southcentre Mall in June without their consent. (LinkedIn) A Calgary man has been charged who police believe filmed young girls and women without their consent. On Tuesday, June 24 at around 5 p.m., police were called to Southcentre Mall, at 100 Anderson Road SE, for reports of a man who they say was seen using a cellphone to film young girls or women without their consent. After talking to one complainant who said she saw the man filming her, and reviewing CCTV security footage, police identified the man but weren't able to find him. On July 1, a search warrant was executed in the 300 block of Marquis Lane S.E., where police seized various electronic devices containing child pornography. The suspect was arrested without incident. Jeffrey Robert Williamson, 51, was charged with one count of voyeurism, possession of child pornography and accessing child pornography. He's scheduled to appear in court on Thursday. Williamson previously served two years in prison on voyeurism and child pornography charges in 2018. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 403-266-1234.
