Jelly Roll Makes His Late-Night Hosting Debut, Jokes His Name Is Post Malone In Case He 'Really Sucks'

NEED TO KNOW Jelly Roll guest-hosted the Wednesday, July 16 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! He jokingly told the audience his name is "Post Malone," but only if his jokes "really suck bad" "Thank you again to Jimmy Kimmel for taking a chance on my fat, white trash ass," said JellyJelly Roll can now add late-night talk show host to his resume. On Wednesday, July 16, the country star stepped in as the guest host of Jimmy Kimmel Live! and delivered a hilarious monologue to kick off the episode. He did have a plan, however, for if his jokes didn't land with the audience. "I need y'all to be patient with me tonight," said Jelly, 40, whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord. "This is my first time doing something like this, and I'm going to try my best. I am. But if I really suck bad, y'all just remember — my name is Post Malone." Luckily, there was no need to hide behind his fellow Big Ass Stadium Tour performer's identity for the evening, as Jelly was a natural. "Do not adjust your TV — Jimmy did not join MS-13. I am your guest host, Jelly Roll. Tune in, baby," he exclaimed at the top of his monologue. "Now y'all know every guest gets on here, and they say it's great to be here. But I want to talk to y'all. Speaking as a guy who has been to prison before, it really is great to be here," said Jelly, who's been incarcerated around 40 times in his life. "Actually, it's kind of great to be anywhere. Hell, I walked into a DMV yesterday, and I was like, 'This is fucking awesome. God, this is great.'" In addition to his late-night hosting debut, the "Save Me" singer spoke about his upcoming match at WWE SummerSlam, where he'll team up with Randy Orton against Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul. The sporting event will air via Peacock in the U.S. and Netflix internationally on Aug. 2 and 3. "Don't clap for Logan Paul. You don't clap for Logan Paul," Jelly told the Jimmy Kimmel Live! crowd. "I decided to do it because truthfully, there are three things that I'm always mistaken for. I'm either mistaken for a wrestler, a tattoo artist, or a member of the Insane Clown Posse who just got sober." He added, "I know you're probably thinking, 'Jelly, how the hell are you going to fight in a pro wrestling match?' But I do have a lot of qualifications. As a fat guy, I've broken several folding chairs." The Grammy-nominated musician further detailed why SummerSlam will mark a "big moment" for him. "I faced my share of struggles in life, y'all. I faced adversity. I've overcame and I never thought, but I am going to have a moment that every American has dreamed of," he said. "And that is the moment of slapping Logan Paul in his face." "Thank you again to Jimmy Kimmel for taking a chance on my fat, white trash ass," quipped Jelly, who later gave silly nicknames (like his own) to Kimmel's staff and presented a few "Jelly Awards" to the subjects of some outrageous viral videos. Jelly and Post recently wrapped the U.S. leg of their Big Ass Stadium Tour, and they're now gearing up for the Big Ass World Tour in Europe, which kicks off next month. "Dear Austin, I say this on stage in some way every night, but man, being on this tour with you has been unreal. I have never had more fun in my life," wrote Jelly on Instagram last month. Jelly Roll sends Logan Paul through table in dramatic Jimmy Kimmel Live brawl

Jelly Roll sent Logan Paul crashing through a table during a chaotic episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! The 40-year-old singer - who is set to make his WWE wrestling debut in a tag team match at SummerSlam in August - was a special guest host for the late night talk show on Wednesday (16.07.25) with his tag partner Randy Orton also on the programme. Drew McIntyre, one of their opponents at the upcoming event over August 2 and 3, interrupted the interview, sparking a brawl between the two wrestlers which spilled backstage. Jelly attempted to bring things back on track, only for Logan Paul - Drew's tag partner for the match - to come out on stage and slap the host. The Save Me hitmaker ended up hitting the Chokeslam move made famous by the likes of The Undertaker, sending the controversial YouTuber through the desk. The exchange was part of the storyline building to the blockbuster SummerSlam match. Jelly has been working hard before his first ever wrestling match next month, losing almost 300lbs over the last couple of years after previously weighing over 500lbs. Speaking on The Pat McAfee Show this week, he said: "When me and Hunter [Triple H] started talking, the more I got involved with WWE over the last couple of years, every time I lose weight, they're like, 'Looking good'. "'Good enough for a match yet or do I need to lose another hundred?' 'A little more, brother.' [Laughs]. I just kept pushing for it. "I have been training. I have quietly been living in Orlando for three or four weeks at the PC [WWE Performance Center], showing up every day like a piece of furniture. "They can't keep me out of there. I'm there from the moment I wake up until it closes. I'm obsessed." Jelly explained that he's been working with retired WWE wrestler turned coach Matt Bloom, while some big names have been on hand to help. He added: 'I was training with Matt Bloom the other day, and Undertaker comes in with Michelle [McCool]. 'They just want to watch for a minute, is that cool?' 'For sure.' "This is who he is as a human. The entire three-hour session, him and his wife stood on those ropes and gave me pointer after pointer. "Kevin Owens, Jacob Fatu came in and wrestled with me the other day for three-four hours." He claimed the reason the WWE superstars and legends are so willing to help him is his clear passion and drive to make it work. He said: "These dudes are like pouring into me because they see that I'm trying to take it as serious as I can."

Grammy-winning singer carried out of arena after getting floored by WWE star

WWE fans couldn't believe what they were seeing as a country music star needed to be helped away from the ring. Grammy Award winning singer Jelly Roll, 40, has made occasional appearances for the wrestling giant over the last year, but things were dialled up a notch at Saturday Night's Main Event. After tensions flared during SmackDown the previous evening, the Son of a Sinner star was at ringside for Randy Orton's match with Drew McIntyre. The two former world champions battled with Jelly and Logan Paul in their respective corners. Eventually, Logan and the country music favourite came to blows – but there was more to come. Despite Randy picking up a win over Drew with the RKO, he found himself on the receiving end of a post-match beatdown from the controversial YouTuber, and Jelly tried to make the save. However, he got laid out by a sudden Claymore Kick from former world champion Drew, as the Scottish Warrior took the fight to the crossover celebrity, Jelly instantly hit the mat and stayed motionless, before Orton had to help him backstage during the ad break. While it was all part of the show, WWE fans were in awe of the how the singer threw himself into the action in such a prominent way. 'Drew may have knocked jelly roll brain lose!! That was a hard kick,' raved @thenandnowwrest2, while @strattonswiftt cried: 'DREW KILLED JELLY ROLL WITH THE CLAYMORE 😭😭😭 #SNME' 'Drew just killed Jelly Roll 😭,' quipped @Commanders27, and @P1Grindking added: 'Drew Mcyintre just kicked Jelly Roll's head off with that Claymore kick 🤯🤯🤯😳😳😳😱😱😱 #SNME' It all appears to be building to a huge SummerSlam tag match pitting Randy Orton and Jelly Roll against Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul. In a backstage interview after the beatdown, Jelly said: 'I'm a grown man. They have gravely underestimated me. They think I'm soft – I'm not,' while he made the challenge, with Orton bringing up next month's PLE. After seeing how things went down at Saturday Night's Main Event, there are fans clearly willing to give Jelly the benefit of the doubt and see what he can do between the ropes. 'Yeah, let's see what this dude can do at Summerslam! I'm sold! #SNME #WWESNME,' wrote @TheRCWRShow. The blockbuster tag team match will be an exciting edition to a two-night show already starting to take shape More Trending The double header on August 2 and 3 is still three weeks away, but already we know John Cena will defend his WWE Championship against King of the Ring winner Cody Rhodes. Justin Bieber officially launches Skylrk clothing brand with debut collection

Justin Bieber has officially launched his sophomore clothing brand, Skylrk, on Thursday, marking a significant milestone in his fashion journey. The pop star's long-awaited line, which has been teased for over a year, is now live on its official website, offering a range of candy-colored apparel, eyewear, and footwear. Skylrk's first collection includes pieces that Bieber has personally worn, such as beanies ($40), hoodies ($140), tank tops ($60), molded slide sandals ($80), and mules ($180). The items are available in playful, vibrant colors like 'Fizz,' 'Gum,' and 'Jelly,' along with futuristic bubble-framed sunglasses priced at $200. The line's fun, energetic designs are attracting the attention of fans, with many already purchasing items like the "Forest" green slides. Bieber first hinted at Skylrk in December 2023, when he was seen wearing neon slides and basketball-style sneakers featuring the Skylrk logo. Following that, Bieber and his wife, Hailey, have been spotted wearing pieces from the collection, and the singer shared glimpses of the brand's behind-the-scenes production on social media. Skylrk is Bieber's first fully independent venture into the streetwear scene after distancing himself from Drew House, the brand he co-founded in 2019. He publicly severed ties with Drew House in April 2025, sharing his decision on Instagram, stating the brand no longer aligned with his personal life. The brand's launch comes after Bieber's creative collaboration with Finn Rush-Taylor, Skylrk's lead designer. With an emphasis on vibrant colors and bold designs, Skylrk marks a fresh chapter for Bieber in the fashion world.

Dwayne Johnson Remembers An Emotional Significance In Jelly Rolls Song Only, Says The Lyrics Rocked Me

Washington : Actor Dwayne Johnson has a very special bond with singer and rapper Jelly Roll, and in fact, his music helped Johnson overcome mental stress, reported People. In a post on his Instagram handle, Dwayne shared a video in which he can be seen hugging Roll and engaging in a friendly conversation. Johnson opened up about their years-long ties through Jelly's song 'Only' and their shared Nashville connection, reported People. "A brotherly hug almost 10 years in the making @jellyroll615," wrote Johnson, adding, "Several years ago (roughly 2017) I was going through a very hard thing at the time, I was struggling. My mental wellness turned into my mental hellness. Many of you know the drill, you put on "the face", show up to work, smile and get through it." The Rock, who was shooting for a film at the time, shared that although it wasn't the "healthiest thing to do," he was used to it. "Perhaps not the healthiest thing to do, but it's what I was used to doing at the time," he wrote. "Then a song came on through my headphones one morning on a random shuffle playlist. "Only" from Jelly Roll. The lyrics rocked me. Hard core," added The Mummy Returns actor. "What if the darkness inside of me has finally taken my soul?/What if the angels in heaven were sent to take me home?/Would they fight through the demons that I have in my life?/Lord, I'm believing eventually see the light," Jelly sings in the 2017 song. These words touched the soul of the ace star and he formed a connection with the rapper as he mentioned, "The words moved me so much that I reached out to Jelly. I said you don't know me and I don't know you, but this song of yours is helping me through some stuff I'm dealing with. I just called to say thank you brother. Our bond was born." Johnson had a gift for Jelly when they finally met, an old postcard of the Alamo Plaza motel in South Nashville, as per the outlet. "The gift I gave Jelly when we finally met, is insignificant to the world, but something I just knew would mean a lot to him and he'd appreciate. It's an old, and cheap postcard of a little motel called the Alamo Plaza in south Nashville." "This is real old-school Nashville history," Jelly said in the Instagram video, showing off the postcard signed by the actor. "When I was 15yrs I was forced (family was evicted) to leave Hawaii and make it to Nashville to live with my dad. That didn't work out so I wound up living with a stranger in this little spot on Murfreesboro Road that has since been torn down and no longer there," Johnson wrote, explaining his connection. The Rock also talked about Wrestling manager Downtown Bruno and said that he is also one of his most "special friends". "Downtown Bruno was that stranger's name and to this day, he's one of my best and most special friends. Just like Jelly. A very special friend. Every once in a while we all get sliced up by life, but it's amazing to see what kind of blessings and people that God and the universe will put in our lives to help us heal through our pain." Johnson also gave Craig Morgan, whom Jelly mentioned during their conversation that The Rock was listening to on his drive over, a shout-out, reported People. "And a big SURREAL shout out to our boy @craigmorgan who I was just listening to in my truck as I pulled up to meet Jelly. How's THAT for the universe conspiring for us!!...Love you brother and cheers to all our plaques coming down," the post concluded.
