Malvi Malhotra: I'm currently taking online classes to learn Tamil

Malvi tells us that she decided to take up the film after watching Oru Nodi ( Jenma Natchathiram is made by the same team). 'I'm happy to be a part of Tamil cinema. The cinema made here is sensible. I'm currently taking online classes to learn Tamil,' says actress Malvi Malhotra, who is set to make her Tamil debut with the horror thriller Jenma Natchathiram. 'I TRY TO KNOW EVERYTHING BEFORE I SIGN A PROJECT' Malvi tells us that she decided to take up the film after watching Oru Nodi ( Jenma Natchathiram is made by the same team). 'I really liked Oru Nodi . The next day, I received a narration and signed Jenma Natchathiram . I try to know everything about a project before I sign on the dotted line. I look at the story, my character graph, the technical team, the budget and the banner. It's important to do that because I want to be sure I'm doing the right film,' she shares. 'MY TAMIL DEBUT FILM IS ABOUT HOW GOOD WINS OVER THE BAD' Delving into her character and preparations for the film, the actress reveals, ' Jenma Natchathiram is a beautiful story of how good wins over the bad. My character in the film is named Riya. She believes in God and is a pure soul. Riya's character is relatable to any normal girl. So, much preparation wasn't needed. But I have seen films like The Omen to see how the characters behave.' 'I CAN UNDERSTAND TAMIL AND TELUGU, BUT MALAYALAM WAS MOST DIFFICULT' Malvi, who has acted in Telugu and Malayalam films ( Tiragabadara Saami and Abhyuham , respectively) already, shares that she loves learning new languages. 'It's fun to learn about different cultures and food. I can still understand and speak Tamil and Telugu, but Malayalam was the most difficult to learn. It sounds like a tongue twister.' 'RECENTLY, I AUDITIONED FOR A HOLLYWOOD PROJECT' The actress, who has films lined up in multiple languages, states, 'I've a film coming up in Punjab titled Dama Dum Mast Kalandar . I'm also doing one film each in Hindi and Telugu. In Tamil, I'm currently listening to scripts. Recently, I've also auditioned for a Hollywood project. For me, it doesn't matter which language I'm working in. I want to explore everything that pushes me out of my comfort zone.' 'Kamal sir is such a good actor; Dhanush is magic on screen' Ask Malvi about her favourites from Tamil cinema, and she replies, 'I can name Kamal Haasan, Dhanush, and Vijay Sethupathi. Kamal sir is such a good actor, and the way Dhanush performs on screen looks like magic. Among the directors, I love Mani Ratnam sir. I've watched all his films. Sridevi is an actress I like a lot; she is my favourite.'
