The drama began because Jenn Fessler made comments about Julia Lemigova's altercation with co-star Guerdy Abraira on the podcast Two T's in a Pod. Lemigova posted a video on her Instagram Story, showing Fessler's comments, then added her own message:

Night 1 was dinner with Daniel Boulud, you, me & Guerdy. Captain Sandy's dinner? That was night 2, not 1.'
She clarified that no cast member had control over dinner seating:
'You know NONE of us had any say over any dinner reservations.'
Then came the sharp jab:
'I see why your castmates call you Flip-Flopping Fessler. Loyal one day, shady the next. Sorry you flew all the way to Miami only to be edited out of last night's episode!'
Fans instantly picked up on the moment and lauded Julia for being honest while also remaining skeptical about Fessler's sentiments.
