Four people from Amherst charged with drug trafficking: N.S. RCMP

Four people from Amherst, N.S., are facing drug trafficking charges after drugs and a weapon were seized in the community.
The Cumberland County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit executed three search warrants at a property in Amherst on Thursday. Investigators seized quantities of cocaine, methamphetamine, prescription drugs, and a prohibited weapon, according to a news release from the Nova Scotia RCMP.
George Robert Saunders, 41, Jennifer Donna Gabriel, 46, Keilie Amanda Gabriel, 25, and John Baker, 45, were arrested and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking. They've been released on conditions and are scheduled to appear in Amherst provincial court on July 28.
The RCMP says three other people from Amherst were also arrested in connection with the investigation and have been released without charges.
