Thousands turn out for Jedburgh's Jethart Callant Festival as temperatures soar
Thousands of people have turned out for the Jethart Callant Festival as temperatures soar.
Tourists and locals came together to mark the heritage and history of Jedburgh on what is known as Festival Friday.
The Callant led the rideout through the town this morning to Ferniehurst Castle and the Capon Tree.
A festival day lunch, family afternoon, fancy dress parade and a party on the green are taking place this afternoon.
The annual event is part of the common riding season, with many towns and villages in the south of Scotland taking to horseback to keep the history of their towns and villages alive.
