Residents of local senior living home take trip down memory lane
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – It was a trip back in time Friday for some residents at Heritage Manor in Youngstown. They were treated to a classic car show to celebrate Father's Day. The senior living center often looks for fun events to keep its clients active. Friday's car show gave them a chance to socialize and take a trip down memory lane. 'I think what we find, especially when people get older, we know if they can relate back to things they are passionate about and reminds them of their parents or friends or hobbies, it resonates that way, and it's good this way to be able to share with them,' said Eric Murray, executive director of senior services at Heritage Manor. Boardman residents evacuated due to gas leak
BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – Some residents in Boardman are being evacuated due to a gas leak. Read next: East Palestine mayor gives update on Norfolk Southern settlement Boardman Fire Chief Mark Pitzer said three homes on Park Harbour Drive off of Shields Road have been evacuated due to the leak. The gas company is on the scene to stop the leak. Workers were in the area boring for fiber optic lines when someone hit a gas line.
