About Jimmy Rees Beginning his career as Jimmy Giggle on the award-winning ABC Kid's TV series Giggle & Hoot, he spent a decade as the face of the iconic kids TV series, airing seven days a week on the national broadcaster. During this time he toured with Giggle & Hoot, playing to more than 500,000 people live and releasing several albums including an iTunes #1 Christmas album featuring duets with Tina Arena, FiFi Box, Justine Clarke, David Campbell, Deb Mailman and others. After a decade at the ABC TV it was time to hang up his pyjamas and farewell his puppet pal Hoot. He first-step out of children's television came when he joined the cast of Dancing With The Stars as his first primetime foray (raising money and awareness for one of his favourite charities Very Special Kids). An instant fan favourite and dubbed 'Jimmy Sizzle' by the judges, Jimmy Giggle was now in the rear vision mirror. It was during the pandemic however, that Jimmy really solidified his reinvention - his comedy content connecting with millions, his videos attaining up to 40 million views each on Facebook alone. He now has four million social media followers. Jimmy's video views on Facebook clocked up 180 million viewing minutes in 2021 and tens of millions more across his TikTok, Instagram and Youtube Channels and they have just continued to grow and grow ever since. Thanks to his on-point social observations and sharp satire, Jimmy became a bonafide viral sensation, with his Meanwhile In Australia series, the Brighton Ladies, the Guy Who Decides and Byron Baes resonating with people here and around the globe. These now iconic characters have firmly cemented themselves into the social media landscape. In 2022 Jimmy embarked on his first national comedy tour as himself. Originally just five shows, the tour became 35 sold-out shows in largescale venues around the country, making it one of the most successful comedy tours of the year. The show aired on Foxtel as a Binge Original Production premiering the the same day his book the Guy Who Decides was released. The special became the #1 Comedy special of the year on Binge and the book hit the #1 spot in the comedy publishing category and followed on from his best-selling series of children's books. In 2023 Jimmy joined Tom Gleeson, Julia Morris and some of the countries favourite comedians for the inaugural season of the now hit series Task Master on Channel 10, and appeared in the Stan Christmas Movie, A Jones Family Christmas. He then backed up his enormous debut tour with an even bigger tour in late 2023 followed by a run of regional dates in 2024, including sold-out charity shows in Lismore, with 100% of the proceeds going into the Lismore flood recovery funds. In 2024 Jimmy was awarded an Order of Australia medal for his services to comedy and his charity work.... Jimmy Rees OAM! MrBeast Removes AI Thumbnail Tool After Backlash: "I Thought People Were..."
YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson, more popularly known as MrBeast, has removed a YouTube thumbnail generator that used artificial intelligence (AI) after receiving intense backlash from creators and fans alike. The world's most-subscribed YouTuber admitted that he had "missed the mark" after his contemporaries pointed out that the tool was stealing work from human creators. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), MrBeast said he had removed the tool from his YouTube analytics platform, Viewstats and that he would replace it with links to human artists available for commission. "Hey! Thanks for all your feedback on the ViewStats AI thumbnail tool, we pulled it and added a funnel for creators to find real thumbnail artists to commission," wrote MrBeast. MrBeast acknowledged the feedback, stating he previously thought that the tool would be well-received within the community. "I thought people were going to be pretty excited about it, but I definitely missed the mark. If you opened up Twitter, you know what I'm talking about. I read all your feedback and going forward there is no AI thumbnail tool, we pulled it down, said MrBeast. "On top of that, I wanted to go one step further to really show artists out there that I care... on under our 'More Tools' section, it will say hire a thumbnail artist." He said his goal with Viewstats had been to build tools to help creators, "but if creators don't want the tools, no worries". "I care more than any of you could ever imagine about the YouTube community. Obviously I'm the biggest YouTuber in the world and I don't take that responsibility lightly and so it deeply makes me sad when I do something that people in the community are upset by." MrBeast released the AI tool last week that allowed users to create eye-catching thumbnails instantly by "taking the guesswork out" for $80 per month subscription fee. Hey! Thanks for all your feedback on the ViewStats AI thumbnail tool, we pulled it and added a funnel for creators to find real thumbnail artists to commission — MrBeast (@MrBeast) June 27, 2025 Social media reacts After the pullback, social media users lauded MrBeast for listening to their grievances and taking action. "Hey Jimmy. I appreciate you looking at this objectively and realising how with you being the biggest creator on the platform, you can unintentionally set a precedent that can affect the industry as a whole," said one user while another added: "Big respect for taking it down despite whatever it cost to develop. I do hope you'll consider looking at the issue more closely." A third commented: "Thank you for reaching down to help smaller creators, Jimmy." The US YouTuber has more than 385 million subscribers on the site and is thought to be its highest-paid creator.

Richard Gordon: Kusini Yengi has the potential to be a talisman for Aberdeen but Dons need more attacking options
It is still over a month until the Dons kick-off their 2025-26 campaign, but the next few weeks are going to be vitally important, and give us a few clues as to what lies ahead. The club announced a list of pre-season fixtures, some of which will feature a Dons XI, others more likely to offer a better indication of Jimmy Thelin's preferred line-up. The first of those will be at Balmoral Stadium on July 12 against Cove Rangers, and it will be interesting to see if more new faces have arrived by then. So far, Jimmy has brought in left-back Emmanuel Gyamfi and three Aussies, goalkeeper Nick Suman, winger Nicolas Milanovic and striker Kusini Yengi. Of that quartet, it is Yengi who will be of most interest. Last season, Kevin Nisbet was the only one who looked capable of scoring on a regular basis, and even then, it took him until the turn of the year before he really hit form. Kevin finished on 14 goals, the only player to make it into double figures. Given what we have seen so far of the other strikers at Thelin's disposal, there has been nothing to suggest any will fill the void. That means the spotlight will fall on the former Portsmouth hitman. He was by no means prolific at Fratton Park, and did not net a single goal for the club last season, but his previous campaign was more impressive, and he has a highly credible record at international level, notching six for Australia in his eleven appearances to date. He clearly has something; it will be up to Jimmy and his coaching staff to coax that out of the striker. But he will need back-up, and I have to imagine it is an area the club is still looking to strengthen significantly. As well as doing so, they have to be looking at moving a few players on, and there are some in the squad who clearly look surplus to requirements. With the additional demands of a European campaign ahead, in whichever of the leagues the Dons find themselves, they are going to require not only a bigger pool, but one which offers strength in depth when it comes to quality. That will hopefully mean more game time for the club's most promising youngsters. Jack Milne proved in the Scottish Cup final he has the required attributes, Fletcher Boyd has obvious potential, and Alfie Bavidge caught the eye while out on loan at Caley Thistle, earning a place in the PFA Scotland League One team of the year. A trio of players – Adam Emslie, Findlay Marshall and Dylan Lobban – played more than 100 between them for Cove last time round, and I saw them develop significantly over the course of the campaign. Not all will get a chance, but it would be good to see at least some of them feature more regularly during 2025-26, giving the squad more of a local identity. The next month is likely to be a busy one on the training ground, and on and off the pitch, and by the end of it I would hope the team is ready for what seems certain to be a challenging and demanding season. The excitement for the new campaign ramped-up last Friday with the announcement of the Premiership fixture list. Disappointingly, the first weekend will see one solitary Saturday 3pm kick-off – Kilmarnock v Livingston – with a trio of games on the Sunday. Because of the demands of the television companies, and Thursday night European games, Sundays often now feature more of the bigger games, and that will again be the case. It will certainly be something the Dons are going to have to adapt to if they are to have a successful season. Getting off the blocks positively should help – although that did not exactly work out last time – but Aberdeen have been handed a tough start with Celtic at home on day two, either side of trips to Tynecastle and Tannadice. It was no surprise that Sky chose the Hearts game for the Monday evening, and the meeting with Derek McInnes will be some appetiser for the top-flight campaign.

Strictly's judging line-up confirmed after fears over star's exit
The judging line-up for the 23rd series of Strictly Come Dancing has been revealed after fans of the BBC competition await the latest batch of celebrities The latest batch of Strictly Come Dancing celebrity contestants may be being kept under wraps but the judging panel has been confirmed. And for many fans they are now breathing a sigh of relief. Ahead of the latest series of the popular BBC dance contest, those watching from behind the desk have been announced. Taking to social media, the official Strictly page shared the exciting news. With a reel of images of the stars and the theme tune, the BBC show said on Instagram: "We've been limbering-up and practicing our curtsies, ready for the new series of Strictly with our amazing judging panel, Shirley, Anton, Motsi and Craig and our incredible MBEs Tess and Claudia - Congratulations on your FAB-U-LOUS achievement!" Celebrities were quick to comment on the post. Among those sharing their delight was professional dancer Amy Dowden, who wrote: "Can't wait xxx" alongside a number of love heart emojis. Dianne Buswell and Karen Hauer also shared their glee. As too did Motsi Mabuse, who took to the comments section as she gushed: "And just like that… we're BACK on @bbcstrictly. Let the sparkle, the sweat and the sequins begin! "Can't wait to share another magical season with all of you. #StrictlyComeDancing #TeamStrictly #GratefulHeart" The announcement comes as fans had thought Craig Revel Horwood had hinted he would be leaving the show. However, they have been left pleased that this is not the case. While the latest batch of famous faces has not been officially announced, the rumour mill is in full swing. Among those linked to the dance floor is former footballer Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. The 53-year-old Dutch sportsman is thought to be the latest in a long line of football legends to take to the Strictly stage, following the likes of Robbie Savage, Alex Scott and Tony Adams. A source told The Sun earlier this month: 'Jimmy has a huge fanbase from his years playing in the Premier League and is a very likeable character. Show producers are always keen to book a retired footballer as it gets footie fans tuning into the series and becoming unlikely fans of the show. "Jimmy has a competitive edge and is going to get his head in the game.' Others tipped for an appearance include Olympian Sir Mo Farah, Gladiators star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey - better known as Nitro - and former Big Brother contestant Yinrun Huang. Bosses will be hoping for a drama-free 23rd series off-stage. The show has been dragged into disrepute in recent years amid accusations that professional dancers have been physically abusive to their celebrity dance partners. While the celebs have also been accused of offensive behaviour.

The Internet Is Completely Unstable After Jimmy Fallon And Jonathan Bailey Almost Kissed In Their "Slutty Little Glasses"
If you haven't been living under a prehistoric rock, you probably noticed that everybody's talking about Jonathan Bailey and his "slutty little glasses." When the trailer for Jurassic World Rebirth first dropped, people (especially me) couldn't stop talking about the seemingly seductive "optical support" of Dr. Henry Loomis. If you've got even a tiny taste of Jonathan on the Jurassic World Rebirth press tour, you'll notice that he's really embraced his spectacled sex appeal. And thanks to Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, we'll never recover from this tour. Before the Jimmy-of-it-all, on Jun. 17, when Entertainment Tonight asked Jonathan what he thinks of the fans' reaction to his "slutty little glasses," he coyly responded, "Slutty little glasses? Are you allowed to say the 'S' word?" Before crediting internet personality Blakely Thorton for coining the term. "I'm thrilled that people having a hormonal explosion linked to optical support. But, I think, yeah, glasses can go a long way. So, let's have the summer of slutty little glasses." Jonathan said what — Hello? 911, I would like to report a crime. Before the internet could pick our jaws off the floor, Jimmy and Jonathan decided to both recreate the "slutty little glasses" reveal from the movie. Related: 26 Pairs Of Celebrities Who Look Sooo Much Alike, It's A Little Uncanny Of course, Jonathan and Jimmy couldn't refrain from being silly and locked eyes once they looked over their shoulders. Jonathan did a flirty lip bite, and their faces grew closer because he clearly doesn't understand how fragile his fandom can be. Then Jonathan and Jimmy leaned in like they were going to kiss. But, of course, they didn't! And that didn't matter. Pretending to kiss is enough to throw the internet into complete chaos, and if you thought Jonathan's "little glasses" were wild, thanks to Jimmy's antics, two pairs of "little glasses" about to kiss might cause a cataclysmic event.
