Single Charlize Theron reveals what men lie about on celebrity dating app Raya
Charlize Theron isn't having any luck on the dating apps, specifically, celebrity dating app Raya. And she blames the men on the apps for it as being a beautiful, successful, wealthy celebrity isn't enough to get past the guys with photos from Burning Man. The Old Guard actress, 49, appeared on the Thursday, June 26, episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen and revealed that she is on Raya. 'Every guy has a Burning Man picture and they're a CEO, like of nothing, or like a fitness instructor. 'And then you meet with them and they're not, and they just say it up front! I'm like, "Well, why did you put that on your thing?"' Theron said. 'No, I don't like it.' 'I don't do anything with it,' Theron told Cohen, who said he's also a subscriber. 'Yes, I don't do anything with it.' She continued, 'A friend put me on it, I went on two dates, and then I just kind of stopped.' And Charlize has dated her fair share of celebs including actors Craig Bierko, Stuart Townsend and Sean Penn, as well as Train frontman Stephan Jenkins and model Gabriel Aubry. She was also reportedly dating Alex Dimitrijevic in 2023. Last week, Charlize revealed her children have 'zero respect' for her award-winning acting career. The actress appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live looking stunning in a glamorous black blazer dress and a sheer floor-length skirt as she discussed her children's thoughts on her career. Charlize's motherhood journey began when she adopted daughters Jackson, 11, and August, seven. But it seems her children are not phased by the fact she's a huge movie star or features on billboards, as she told Jimmy, 'my children have zero respect for me' when asked if they are impressed by her career. Laughing towards the audience, she said: 'My children have zero respect for me. I don't know how, it's just unbelievable. 'And then you meet with them and they're not, and they just say it up front! I'm like, "Well, why did you put that on your thing?"' Theron said. Seen here June 24, 2025 'I feel like I'm pretty humble, but every once in a while I'm like there's a f*****g Oscar right there.' The audience and Jimmy erupted into laughter as she added: 'No, they're so not impressed with me.' Charlize became the first South African to win an acting Oscar when she picked up the Best Actress gong for 2003 drama Monster. Recalling picking up her daughter the day before, she explained: 'I was picking up my youngest from dance yesterday and we drove past that new Mission Impossible poster, where Tom Cruise is hanging onto some like yellow plane. 'And he just looks really cool, and my kids were with me when I shot Old Guard 2, and I worked on this incredibly intricate sequence where we brought in this amazing helicopter pilot, Fred North, and we were gonna choreograph this incredible scene. 'Like me fighting helicopters and jumping on this real helicopter and hanging off and shooting like 99 per cent of it on a real helicopter, as it's like trying to shake me off like a ragdoll, and we took two weeks to shoot this sequence. 'And I was like, "Wow, I just did that" That's really amazing. And my child yesterday, just looked at this poster of Tom Cruise and went "That's weird, he looks so much cooler than you did when you were hanging off that helicopter" She laughed, adding: 'I was just like, "but I hung off the helicopter, like just some credit."' Theron reprised her role as 6,732-year-old warrior Andromache 'Andy' of Scythia in the Netflix superhero sequel. The Studio guest star also executive produced Victoria Mahoney's small-screen adaptation of Greg Rucka's 2017 graphic novel, which wrapped production way back in 2022. Old Guard 2 is set to launch globally on the streaming service Netflix on July 2, 2025.

‘Kimmel' Guest Host Diego Luna Turns Fox News Mockery Into ‘Delicious' Moment
'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' guest host Diego Luna laughed off Fox News anchor Laura Ingraham Thursday after the Mexican actor's impassioned defense Monday of undocumented workers appeared to set off the conservative news host. 'I didn't do this for the recognition or the money,' Luna said Thursday. 'Because there's nothing. But there has been such an outpouring of support over the past few days. And last night... I got the highest honor a late-night host can receive.' Luna went on to play a clip of Fox News contributor Raymond Arroyo complaining Wednesday about Luna's Monday monologue and asking, 'When did the comedy and entertainment shows, Laura, become an excuse for boorish political commentary?' 'Oh no,' Ingraham replied, before appearing to read from a prompter: 'Actor Diego Luna, guest host of — I don't know who that is — guest hosted for Jimmy Kimmel. I don't watch, I don't think I've ever watched a Jimmy Kimmel.' The conservative pundits went on to play a portion of Luna's monologue from Monday, in which he noted that many undocumented workers 'pay a lot of taxes,' prompting Arroyo to wonder if Luna was 'speaking from experience' before asking, 'Why do we care?' Luna is the face of Disney's 'Star Wars' series 'Andor,' which has earned eight Emmy nods and is a spin-off of 2016's 'Rogue One' — which stars Luna and grossed over $1 billion worldwide. Ingraham said, 'I don't even know who he is,' prompting Arroyo to inform her. 'Oh, OK, sorry I missed that,' Ingraham replied sarcastically in the clip. 'Oh, thank you,' said Luna over applause and laughter as the clip concluded. 'By the way, Jimmy, that's my gift to you. Yeah, whatever name this woman has, I got her to finally watch your show.' Luna didn't stop there. 'I had a dream last night that this was a Mexican talk show, with Latin music and delicious food,' he said. 'Then I woke up and remembered, 'Oh yeah, I'm the host, I can do whatever the fuck I want.' So tonight our band, Cleto y los Cletones, they have gone full mariachi.' The camera then revealed Kimmel's house band, Cleto and the Cletones, in full mariachi regalia, as Luna announced that he invited local restaurant owners Eduardo Ruiz and Alberto Bañuelos — who run the Mexican eatery Burritos La Palma — 'to feed the whole audience.' 'Kimmel' Guest Host Diego Luna Hits Trump With Frank Reminder Of 1 Huge Failure
Actor Diego Luna wrapped up his week as guest host of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' with a reminder of how important comedy is in an era that's seen a rise in authoritarian leaders such as President Donald Trump. 'There are many ways to push back, and one way is by making fun of them every night, like Jimmy does,' the 'Andor' star said. 'Using comedy to defend freedom. They don't like that shit.' Luna said the media has been focusing on the differences between the United States and his home country, Mexico, but that he wanted to focus on what connects the two nations. 'We shouldn't let our cultural exchange be divided by borders, by ignorance, by fear, or a wall built by your president,' he said, then couldn't help but add: 'That he paid for, by the way.' Trump not only made a border wall a key promise of his first presidential campaign, but insisted repeatedly and for years that Mexico would pay for it. Mexico did not pay for the wall. U.S. taxpayers did, ponying up a reported $15 billion for it during Trump's first term ― including sections so poorly built they blew over in heavy winds, and some that could be bypassed with a $5 makeshift ladder. Seth Rogen Reveals the Audition Tape That Would ‘End' His Career
As Hollywood careers go, Seth Rogen has lived a pretty charmed—and scandal-free—life. And he hopes to keep it that way. But Rogen, who is currently riding high on the success of The Studio, the Apple TV+ cringe comedy he co-created and stars in that skewers Hollywood stereotypes, knows that there is some grainy old footage still possibly floating around out in the world somewhere that could spell an end to his own appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last week, Kimmel asked Rogen—who broke out with his very first acting role in Freaks and Geeks back in 1999—about the last time he actually had to audition for a role. The Superbad creator admitted that it had been a while, then shuddered to remember the last time he was forced to do it. 'Thank god it was mostly physical VHS tapes and stuff like that that were being used when I was auditioning for things,' said Rogen. 'Because the things I auditioned for, in retrospect, if they were out there in the world would end my career very, very fast I believe.' When pressed by Kimmel to share an example, Rogen recalled his audition for Gigli, Martin Brest's infamous 2003 crime/rom-com that starred Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez back when they were their first iteration of Bennifer. 'In Gigli, [Affleck and Lopez] are assassins who are sent to watch over a boy who—and this was not the words they used at the time—had a cognitive disability, let's say,' Rogen continued while Kimmel, clearly guessing where the story was going, struggled to compose himself. 'So I, as an aspiring young actor… I auditioned for this boy with a cognitive disability,' Rogen shared. 'And I don't think the script was written in what, by today's standards, would be the most sensitive portrayal of a boy with a cognitive disability. And I also, as a young actor, you know, I didn't get a lot of auditions. The movie was directed by Martin Brest, who did Beverly Hills Cop and Midnight Run. Great director. So I wanted to leave an impression.' At this point, Rogen himself was nearly speechless in recalling the details of what was clearly the mortifying kind of memory that would fit right in with the comedy of The Studio. 'I don't think I wore a helmet into the audition itself,' he said, 'but it was that play. And I'm tempted to do an impression of what I did, but I can't even do it. That's how bad it was. It's so bad, I dare not even portray what I did in this audition—'cause I went for it! I saw myself at the Oscars. I was like, 'This is the clip.'' 'Truthfully,' Rogen admitted, 'if that tape were out in the world today, this would be the last interview you ever saw me do—other than my apology tour.'Finally, Rogen addressed the camera and anyone who might be listening with an earnest plea: 'Please, if you have it: Burn it. Please!' The role in question, a young man named Brian, was ultimately played by Justin Bartha, in his first credited feature film role. Bartha would go on to star in National Treasure and The Hangover movies. Seth Rogen Reveals the Audition Tape That Would 'End' His Career first appeared on Men's Journal on Jun 24, 2025

Ariana Grande, Kieran Culkin, Jimmy Kimmel among 534 invited to join Oscars academy
The Oscars' voting body is growing again with a glittering list of new recruits that includes pop superstar Ariana Grande, newly minted Oscar-winner Kieran Culkin and late-night veterans — and past Oscar hosts — Jimmy Kimmel and Conan O'Brien. On Thursday, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced it had invited 534 new members across its 19 branches. This year's class includes Oscar nominees, below-the-line craftspeople and rising international voices — among them 'Wicked' star Grande; 'Succession' actor Culkin, who won the supporting actor Oscar for 'A Real Pain'; and late-night hosts Kimmel, a four-time Oscar emcee, and O'Brien, who hosted the ceremony for the first time this year. In all, the group features 91 Oscar nominees and 26 winners, including Mikey Madison, who took the lead actress Oscar for the best picture winner 'Anora.' Madison's co-stars Yura Borisov and Karren Karagulian were also invited to the actors' branch. The latest invitations reflect the academy's ongoing push for greater inclusion, even after meeting its post-#OscarsSoWhite diversity benchmarks. Of the 2025 class, 41% identify as women, 45% as members of underrepresented ethnic or racial communities and 55% are from outside the United States. Across the total membership, 35% identify as women, 22% as members of underrepresented groups and 21% are based internationally. Read more: Inside the 'Wicked' musical number that could win Ariana Grande an Oscar After years of rapid expansion — peaking with a record-setting incoming class of 928 in 2018 — the academy has shifted toward more sustainable growth. Still, this year's tally represents a modest increase over last year's 487 invitees. Other additions to the acting branch — the academy's largest — include 'The Apprentice' co-stars Jeremy Strong and Sebastian Stan, who drew nominations for their portrayals of Roy Cohn and Donald Trump, respectively, in the controversial biopic, along with supporting actress nominee Monica Barbaro ('A Complete Unknown'), Aubrey Plaza, Jason Momoa, Jodie Comer, Dave Bautista and 'Emilia Pérez' star Adriana Paz. (Notably, 'Emilia Pérez' lead Karla Sofía Gascón, who made history this year as the first openly transgender performer nominated in the lead acting category, did not receive an invitation — a decision that follows backlash over past controversial remarks.) New recruits to the directors branch include this year's nominees Coralie Fargeat ('The Substance') and Brady Corbet ('The Brutalist'), as well as Gints Zilbalodis, who directed the Oscar-winning animated feature 'Flow.' Invitees in the documentary branch include the team behind this year's Oscar-winning 'No Other Land': Israeli and Palestinian filmmakers Yuval Abraham, Basel Adra, Hamdan Ballal and Rachel Szor. 'We are thrilled to invite this esteemed class of artists, technologists and professionals to join the Academy,' academy CEO Bill Kramer and President Janet Yang said in a joint statement. 'Through their commitment to filmmaking and to the greater movie industry, these exceptionally talented individuals have made indelible contributions to our global filmmaking community.' If all invitations are accepted, the academy's total membership will rise to 11,120, including 10,143 voting members.
