Actor
Jin Tae Hyun
, known for his appearances in dramas like '
Twinkling Watermelon
' and 'Hold My Hand', has been discharged from the hospital after undergoing surgery to treat his
thyroid cancer
. The actor took to an online fan forum to share the news that the surgery had been successful, and that he is now out of the hospital.
The actor, who has been actively sharing his journey while fighting thyroid cancer, shared a happy update with fans, confirming that he has recovered successfully from his surgery.
In his message, he thanked his wife, friends, and family for supporting him and being by his side no matter what. He shared, 'I'm finally being discharged. Hospitalisation, surgery, and recovery all went perfectly. I'm so grateful to my wife, who became my hands and feet for the past few days. Thank you to my friends and fans who continue to support and pray for me. I'll be taking time to rest and go on walks so I can recover slowly and healthily, especially since I have a commercial shoot and a broadcast recording scheduled in just three weeks.'
He continued in his post, sharing how he will begin his journey for recovery soon after going back home. His post read, 'Starting tomorrow, I'll begin morning walks. Don't worry, I won't push myself too hard. I plan to walk slowly at Hanam Stadium and Olympic Park, where I used to train. Why? Because after I was diagnosed with cancer, I made a promise to run a marathon later this year. I want to hold myself accountable to that promise, and walking is the first step. There's a world of difference between trying and failing versus not trying at all. Having the right mindset is important. You gain nothing without effort. I'll do my best again.'
