Jindal Mobilitric unveils R40 e2W with 165 km range

Jindal Mobilitric , the electric mobility division of Jindal Worldwide Ltd , has announced the launch of its new electric two-wheeler , the 'R40', marking the company's strategic entry into India's fast-growing EV sector. According to the company, it offers a range of 165 kilometres on a single charge. The R40 is currently undergoing homologation and it will be rolled out across the country once approvals are in place. With its manufacturing facility in Ahmedabad already operational, the company is ready for full-scale production and distribution. Nationwide expansion in sight Jindal Mobilitric currently operates with 35 dealerships and has ambitious plans to scale up to 100 outlets across India in the next 12 months. The company is positioning itself to become a significant player in the mass electric mobility segment. 'Electric mobility is the future of transportation and our foray into EV production is a strategic and significant milestone for us,' said a company spokesperson. Strong manufacturing backbone Jindal Mobilitric has set up a dedicated electric vehicle manufacturing plant in Ahmedabad with a production capacity of 2.5 lakh vehicles per annum. The facility also includes a fully automated, in-house battery manufacturing unit with an equal production capacity, designed to ensure safety, performance, and reliability in EV batteries. The integrated approach not only enhances product quality but also supports the company's aim to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles in India by ensuring greater control over critical components like batteries.
